The sooner the better.

Then Apple can move on to iPhone 6.

J. Ive is either tired of creating new designs, or Apples got him in shackles.

By forbidding any changes to the shape & size Apple will realize even more revenue.

After all...they aren't as profitable as they'd like to be

Apple stockholders are hoping for the same. AAPL below 300 or even 200 plus mediocre 5S sales would make for a crappy start to 2014 for Apple.

Same thing is said every single year before an iPhone release if Apple doesn't "blow" us away with something "revolutionary." Yet it never seems happen (if you think Apples stock right now has something to do with the iPhone then that is funny).

It's pretty obvious most people here actually think they are the majority of Apple buyers. lol.

Make the damn thing thicker and putter a bigger battery in it. I don't need a phone that's as thin as a damn quarter.

Very much doubt it will launch in August. July or September would seem typical for Apple. Nothing seems to get launched in August from them.

Well isn't most tech outdated by the time you bring it home from the store anyway? There's always going to be something bigger/better/newer.

or smaller/thinner/lighter/brighter/whiter...
and there is always that cool/interesting tech that is just round the corner.

Still looking forward to iPhone 5S, there is a young person annoyed I haven't upgraded already.

Right about what, exactly? He's mad and venting. I don't recall a debate with opposing views where he provided evidence that he was right and the other party was wrong.

What I was pointing out is majority of posters here expect the near impossible. A revolutionary, completely redesigned, and internal revamped iPhone and when there isn't... they moan. That is fact. Yeah I'm mad because I'm sick of seeing the same junk day in day out here with people who don't understand what is possible and what isn't. Apparently they don't understand how to run a company. Or maybe it's just bunch of 1st world problem brats (not sure if I can say that because I already got warned once).

Here's my point. People expect near impossible and secondly, they have no idea what they want! They complain about the leaks, yet when you ask them... so what do you want? They are silent. "Oh you know... faster this, more that." What do you think the S is? It's an internal upgrade. Jeeze... some ppl

This is a forum, it's what we do here. If you don't want to hear it, forums are not the place for you. So no, he isn't right. No one is going to stop because you get irritated. The change will have to come from him (or you if you feel the same way) You'll need to ignore it, get used to it or find a way to avoid it. People are going to say what they want and no one cares how you feel about it. Welcome to life.

He can say the same to you. He is simply voicing his opinion like others, lay off.

I predict that Apple will sell at least 8-10 millions of them over the first week-end.

He sure can though it wouldn't make much sense. I'm not telling him to stop complaining about the complainers, he is on the other hand asking people to stop complaining. I'm just telling him he'll need to get used to it because it's not going to stop. There's a distinction there that most (but obviously not all) people would be able to see. ;)

Apple trying to get closer to Samsung release dates

For me the interesting part if your article is the fact that Apple have brought forward the release of I5. Yes this is nearer its traditional date but u think they are trying to cut the length of time the flagship S series gets before I5 release

The real "problem" isn't so much that they want the impossible, but it's that other smartphones have caught up, and arguably surpassed the iPhone (relax, I said "arguably") I think people want to see something so revolutionary that it clearly brings the iPhone back to where it once was, which is to say, by-in-large, the best smart phone on the market. Obviously that's arguable too, but at one point, it was thought to be that by a lot of people.

As far as what a customer wants, many simply want the people who are making millions to come up with something that will "wow" them. Heck, I don't know how much more can be done on a smart phone platform myself, but I'm not the one who gets paid the $$$ to come up with that.

Is it actually faster than typing a code?

you know on Android you don't have to type a code? patterns are the way to go and your finger never leaves the surface to type in 4 digits like your grandpa uses a bank card..

Great to hear! I will be upgrading my 4S to 5S. My 4S has lasted me well and I was just gonna keep it for another year but after trying out the iPhone 5 I decided I'll definitely be getting the 5S. Felt amazing in my hands. Really looking forward to it.

The iPhone 5 would be a pretty decent upgrade itself but the 5S isn't that long away and I'm happy with my 4S until it comes out. I do hope Apple freshen up with iOS7. I'm pretty happy with iOS6 but I wouldn't say no to some new features/changes.

If i had to guess

Quad core, better camera, NFC, and longer better life plus a killer software are my expectations. But i'm really happy with my iPhone 5

Be interesting to see if it has any features worth upgrading my 3GS for, since the 4, 4s and 5 didn't.

S is probably for Secure this time. I'm expecting that and NFC... that's all. And iOS 7 of course.

hahah secure... That is funny. Apple will never be "secure"

I'm hoping for a more OS revamp, and larger battery because who cares if it is paper thin. Batter>>>>>super thin

I suspect you also want 32" rims for your car, since I'm sure you heard that bigger is better. At least you won't look ridiculous with a 13MP phone.

yet he said he wanted the screen back to 3.5 so your argument goes out the window....
