Nokia had a champagne/gold/vanilla phone in '06---it was a swivel, if I remember.

Maybe Apple has teamed up with Coach???

I think a (RED) iPhone would be way cooler (for many reasons) than any other possible deviation from black and white options. In any case, most people use a case, and what seems to matter most is the phone's face/bezel color.

Apple seems to have slowly got away from the Red cause. That was a definite SJ thing, so maybe TC isn't that bothered with it.

EDIT: I stand corrected, Apple does more RED stuff now than before :)

Does anyone else find it odd that someone named "Ming-Chi Kuo" uses the word "reckon" in an analyst statement?

Only a small-minded racist would make an assumption like that. Someone's name has no bearing on their ability to speak English.

What will you do with a 128GB phone? I have the 64gb 4s and I am not even close to filling it up.

I have the 64GB iPhone 5, and I’ll be delighted if they bring out a 128GB version and will buy it for sure.

I have iTunes Match, but my preference for iPhone is to have my music library on my phone, I also like to keep a few movies and TV shows, as well as taking loads of HD video of my son.

You have to remember, that everyone has different needs and requirements, not everyone’s requirements match yours.

On the colour, I’d like to see a ‘Champagne’ option, but looking at how white and clean iOS7 is, I can’t see myself choosing anything but the white model this time... I’m sure it’ll sell like hotcakes though.

:)

They have more Red products now, then when SJ was about.

They're extremely dedicated to this cause, which is great to see.

champagne color is so nasty to me. it reminds me of those plastic cases of old school PCs, Hardware and kitchen stuff of the 80s/90s.

looks like piss

The parts have already been leaking, so it's pretty much a sure thing. But it's not GOLD gold rather the "champagne" color that is mentioned in the article. Very subdued, like a tint of gold on silver, not garish. I could see it being very, very popular.
Champagne, eh? Could be exactly what i wished for in March (is Ive reading on Macrumors?). If they do it right I'd buy one in a heartbeat - if only iOS7 would not be looking so ugly to me... :(

I stand corrected. Red iPhone please Apple.

128gb

The more memory you have, the more you (and app developers) will use. It's a consequence of Moore's Law.

The more megapixels the camera has, the bigger the size of the picture files and movie files you create.

Now that more and more people are keeping iPhones for two years or more, the extra memory will become essential.

juck
You can't compare a metal surface in champagne to some yellowed IT junk being produced decades ago and having its plastic paying tribute to its age. Take a look instead at e.g. Pioneer's champagne HiFi units (e.g. the VSX-908 or DVL-909). I have those at home and they look really nice in reality - completely different from yellowed IT plastic crap from the 80's.

As someone who uses their 64GB 4S as a phone, messaging platform, email client, browser, camera and music player (with pretty much all my music on the device) I've maxed out my storage.

There's still so much more I could do though as I rarely use it as a video camera for example & haven't stored (Hollywood) movies on there.

I'd love a 128GB option as long as it's available in all colours and priced in the same bracket as the previous iPhone flagships.

Have you even seen a six month old black iPhone 5 without any protection whatsoever, carried with keys and change in a pocket?

Yes, mine was 9 months without a single scratch, in and out of my pocket 10 hrs a day with my car key. I don't know what's wrong with others, but mine is still scratchless

Hope you're listening, Samsung! Apple have really set the bar high now. It was colours the people wanted all along. Not ground breaking features. You read the 'market' wrong y'see! And going by all the idio.... typical buyers on here (cough) .... Its colourisation not innovation that will move Apple once again to the forefront of mobile desi .... Ah forget it. Even I can't paper over the cracks.
That's it. We're done here everybody. It was good while it lasted ...enjoy the coloured phones. Nice arent they? That's a pretty one there isn't it? Oooh yes. Ah gold one too. See how it glitters on the light? Isn't that clever?

(Quick guys...while they're distracted ...move all the stuff out the back window. We're outta here)

I'm having a hard time believing anything Kuo has to say after his other predictions this year...

He seems to throw out lots of predictions - sometimes changing them - how many different iPad Mini forecasts has he made? . Its the tech equivalent of phoney psychics and their "cold reading"

Stupid reasoning.

Samsung Galaxy devices already come in multiple color choices and limited editions

One of the things that was also in the source news but not in this article is that KGI expects that Apple's A7 will be based on the Cortex A8 microarchitecture, becoming the first 64-bit smartphone and way ahead of other ARM vendors.

Probably would be good to highlight that a bit more as I think it's bigger news than a gold coloured option.

I've never seen anyone with a gold colored device. I'm sure there are some, but I can't imagine there being a strong demand for that specific color.

The boxer Amir Khan was filmed at the Wimbledon final doing selfles on a gold iphone. But he was also wearing a pink suit.

Although as an exercise in accurately making a gold device, it works, it still does have all the negatives associated with it, I can't see past "RAPPER!" when looking at it.
