Please, no gold. Apple should not become the next Rap/Hip Hop brand. Gold is ugly and that's not my personal opinion, it's objective truth. Okay I'm kidding but I really do hate gold as a color.

32 GB base model, please!

Can someone explain why lots of people seem to ask for this? Surely it doesn't matter what the base model is - if the base model is 16GB you can still buy a 32GB if that's what you want/need?

Gold? That's not very cool.
Gold is so tacky.
"Gold" is a pretty big word... I mean, a darkish brown would be better, but gold as in chinese-cheapo-golden stuff? Don't think so.
The all new, white & champagne iPhone - the most chavtastic iPhone ever.
etc

Just watch Apple do to gold what they did to white - a couple of years on and we'll all be using our gold MBPs and watching our gold Apple TVs...

Have you even seen a six month old black iPhone 5 without any protection whatsoever, carried with keys and change in a pocket?

No. Have you seen my three year old car, driven on roads at 70mph, through rain, hail, snow and sun? It looks great. That's because it's made from a suitable material which I don't then need to protect. Same as my galaxy s4.

Don't need need to be asking why 128 is not common now, rather than making OMG comments?

Does anyone know the manufacturer price of 64 chip/s when it was fitted into the iPhone, compared to the price of 128 chip/s now.

I'm shocked and disappointed we don't have say 64GB, 128GB and 256GB phones by now.

128GB would be great, just watch, if Apple releases 128GB size as others in the industry follow suit. If Apple did not move things forward, nobody else would do it, they'd just keep releasing 16GB phones.

But 1GB RAM is bad. That's so bad, 5S is a pass for me.

Is the 128 gb version available in champagne?

Is the 128 gb version only available in champagne?:confused::confused:

People like me do not want to pay $100/100€ more for 32GB model. I, for example, need and want 32GB but I am not willing to pay 799€ for a phone in 2013. 699€ is pushing it but I expect to get 32GB at least for that money.

Anyway I believe that Apple will introduce 32GB as a base model without any price increases. However 1GB of RAM is a dealbreaker. Might as well wait for iPhone 6 then.

I know someone who will buy the new iPhone if it has a champagne option.

Isn't it obvious? A 32 GB base iPhone 5S would cost as a base 16 GB iPhone 5.

Yes, check the Apple Store. It's clearly stated there.

When paint on a car buffs, you can just repaint it, while you need to replace the complete back cover on an iPhone, which is at least $75 plus two hours of work.

Maybe people protect their iPhones because they consider it a more valuable item than a Galaxy S4, and hence the whole point, to a Galaxy S4 owner own either doesn't care about scrapped plastics or replaces his back cover with a Chinese reproduction part for $10 when it scratches, becomes incomprehensible for differences in the perception of the item?

Believe it or not, but people but vinyl sticker foil onto their cars, too.

I would argue vinyl wrapping is cosmetic. In fact, it can cause damage to the paintwork so it's the opposite of putting a cover on a phone

I like the idea.
128GB, real gold, >1k price, preferably 2k.
I'd buy that, i would get some exclusivity, you won't see everywhere one of those babies.

What, so irrespective of the performance, you'll pass because of the numbers? Like it says in the original article, because Apple are controlling the whole design process of all the components, they can optimise their use in a way that other manufacturers can't. Just because a Samkia Whatever III has got 8GB of RAM doesn't mean an iPhone needs it to perform as well.

iphone 5s Specs
Same appearance ( 2x flash camera)
lLonger battery life
802.11.AC
32/64/128gb
A7 quadcore processor
IGZO high res scherm

easy as that

I can understand Apple's introduction of neon colors, which are identical to those in the iPod Nano line, in the iPhone line in order to match the high contrast coloring of iOS 7, as well as diversify the product and open the gate for low-cost, plastic casings, but a gold/champagne plated iPhone 5S is something is something I cannot comprehend.

While it makes sense in one area (it would likely become a top-seller in Apple's high-income, Middle-Eastern markets) I still cannot grasp this as a fact. A gold iPhone? Really?

OK, that makes sense if people mean "at the same price", but I don't think that's a given by a long shot, especially if we see a 5C launched at the same time.

Be careful what you wish for!

No one is saying it's a given. Many are hoping for it.

especially if we see a 5C launched at the same time.

Why?
If the 5C is launched together with the 5S, such a bump in storage would help differentiating the phones, as the 5C would carry the 16 GB option.

You are not the only one. Storage: Yes! Color: No, Apple, no!

I think Apple will keep the line up very simple. Something like this:

1. The iPhone 4 will be killed right away.
2. The iPhone 4S (8GB) might be killed right away but maybe killed in January (to drain parts stocks).
3. The iPhone 5C will be available in 2 colors at 16GB and in all colors (about 5) at 32GB.
4. The iPhone 5S will be available in white and black at 32GB and 64GB and in champagne at 128GB.
5. Apple will introduce an iPod touch with 128GB (in champagne), and the iPod classic will be killed.
6. Apple may kill the iPod shuffle. There may be a new 4GB iPod nano in one color for $99 to replace it.

How exactly is that simple? Simple is:

-Kill 4, 4S and 5.
-5C: five colors, 16GB only.
-5S: Black, white, champagne, 32-64-128GB.
