I initially pre-ordered the 6+ but had a change of heart due to the size of that thing.

I cancelled through customer support and preordered the 6 a few hours ago.

this is what my status is:

"Your pre-order for the iPhone 6 is at our warehouse. We will do our best to get it to you by 9/19. Keep an eye out for a shipping email with your tracking information. Thank you for your patience. For the latest shipping timelines, visit sprint.com/preorder."

at least they will try their best :p

YOU'RE going to regret going smaller

So the preordered phone is at the warehouse but it could be weeks before we get them?

Sprint's Bay Area LTE is decent...

Anybody using Sprint n the SF Bay Area? Tmobile is charging ridiculous deposit and Sprint has manageable price. Want to know if the LTE is good

It depends on the part of the bay area you are in. Its improving but in the East bay area along the 680 stretch along the freeway (Pleasanton to Walnut Creek) its pretty bad. In some areas you can get good LTE but expect dropped calls. Ive had Sprint for 2 years so far (1st upgrade) and its ok. It can be frustrating at times though since the phone may not even move and it will switch from 4g to 3g to no service in minutes.

I'd say Sprint's LTE in the Bay Area is decent overall. I definitely see LTE more frequently in S.F. than the East Bay though.

Specifically near Lafayette's corridor along I-680 and the BART station I always have the "NO SIM-CARD" alert pop-up on me for about 1-3 secs whenever I'm passing through that area (both on BART and while in a car) and it's just a weird dead spot as I never see that happen anywhere else in the area. However, for the most part, I find LTE service "decent enough" between Orinda and Pleasant Hill, but manny8199 is right that it can spotty at times in those areas.

So the preordered phone is at the warehouse but it could be weeks before we get them?

With an occasional accidental delivery slipping through, Apple won't allow anyone to receive the phone before the 19th. It's the same process every year. A week between pre-order and delivery.

My point is it's less than seven days till the 19th yet sprints tracking page states the preordered phone is in their warehouse however it could be weeks before we receive them.

Yeah. I doubt the At The Warehouse is an accurate statement. With that said I'm checking my order about 3 times per day. Lol

Me too. Ordered within the first hour. Kinda sucks sprint didn't have enough supply to last two full hours and I say that full knowing that a good majority couldn't order for longer then that so that kinda says a lot in regards to the supply they started with.

Think about it this way if 50,000 sprint customers tried ordering the 6+ at 12:01pst and only 7,000 got through the first two hours then their supply was horrible. Numbers used were made up BTW.

If memory serves sprint got hit the hardest last year with the least amount for preorders. You'd think a year later and with all the promos sprint has been doing they'd have purchased more phones this year from apple.

My guess is they're stocked up in-store banking on customer interest for the new iPhone for Life program that they've rolled out (that's how I preordered mine).

I'm getting the same message for my 6+ Except that it will be up to 3 weeks. I *think* it means that the order is at the warehouse waiting to be fulfilled and not that an actual phone is there.

Poorly worded, no doubt.

I think when I pre ordered my iPhone 5 with Sprint they gave this same kinda generic thing on the track order page. I think mine finally changed late in the week then and I got the 5 on launch day. I ordered the 6+ silver 64gb at around 2:10am (I am central time) I think it actually took about 10 more minutes for the order to go threw, but I am not really concerned yet I think they post that 3 week thing right from the start so people don't expect it.

Thanks for sharing this. I'm not holding out hope for it but the "up to" verbiage is what companies use to cover their butts, so it could definitely be less than 3 weeks.

Agree poorly worded and agree it's a generic message and could ship this week versus 3 weeks from now however it is interesting if u go to sprints site and select an iPhone 6+ it warns of a delay and u can click for more info and there it's showing 4-6 weeks for new orders.

I tried adding a new phone to an existing account around 315 EST but my personal account was a Sero and it wouldn't work. So fourty minutes later I added as a whole new account.

Problem I have and why I'm watching like a hawk is the next day I had an email saying they needed me to verify info. Nothing was entered wrong but since I had an account and created a new one they wanted to check a few things which was silly, the mailing address, name on account, even CC was the same as existing account but they thought it might be fraud...despite being shipped to the same address they've always had on file.

I was told the hold didn't Impact my "spot in line" but I have little faith and the rep was foreign and makes me question things that much more when the two of us can barely communicate properly together.

Me sad. Unfortunately I can't preorder because I'm not eligible for an upgrade. I am willing to pay in full but no dice.

#1stworldproblems

Buy out the contract. You pay $20/month left on the contract. Then re-up for 2 years subsidized. You lose your phone # though.

What do you guys think about the new Sprint I phone for life plan ? It seems like it could be a good deal.

The way I understand it you can get either the 4.7 or 5.5 for 20.00 a month, but I am assuming that's for the 16gb model. I tried to research but could not confirm that it was indeed for 16gb. Anybody know for sure ?

That is the plan that I signed up for! I was on Verizon and thought of going with Verizon EDGE but that was getting too out of hand with the monthly cost. $70/month for unlimited is a nice price

I just spoke with a representative, they explained to me that 64gb and 128gb 6+ devices are getting 1-3 week deliveries and the 16gb models are being pushed into the 4-6 week time frame. No idea if this is true or not, sometimes these people just talk out of their ass. Overall I'm not too concerned. Back in 2012 when I ordered the 5 over the phone on release, I also experienced inaccurate order statuses but they corrected in a few days and I actually got my phone within a week or so of ordering.

I ordered a 6+ 16GB and mine is 4-6 weeks

----------

Is anyone going to go to the SPRINT store on Friday and see if they can get one that way? Do you know if they are going to stock 6+ phones for in-store on release date

I sure hope that they get shipments in quicker and this is more of just a COVER. Thats going to be a long 4-6 weeks as everyone else has their phones and mine is just in holding. Is anyone in here on SPRINT service in SOCAL area?

I received a text on Thursday stating that I could upgrade to ANY phone. My current contract doesn't end until July 1st! Anyway, around 11:00 am, I was finally able to reserve a 128GB 6 Plus on the lease plan. The lease is $35 per month. Shipping is expected to take three weeks. :D

That must mean that for those of us that ordered yesterday morning, we may end up getting it before the three weeks. I would imagine that we may end up getting it within a week after the 19th (which would be 2 weeks from the order).

Just ordered my armor case. Anyone know any good docking stations?

So I think I ordered a 6 NOT a 6+... :( wtf.

My first attempt through Sprint changed my order from 128 iphone 6 plus to the 16gb version. If I didn't catch it I'd been in same boat. I'd call and get it switched but good luck getting your order expedited. I've had my own issues and even wrote the company and my response was we sympathize but sorry we can't expedite blah blah blah despite it being their issue.

I'm going to be really pissed if I have to wait 4-6 weeks when I ordered 10 minutes past 3 AM. I also ordered an iPhone 6 for someone else in the family and that has been updated with the following:

Status: Your pre-order for the 16GB iPhone 6 is at our warehouse. Orders placed prior to 5:00 pm CT on 9/13, we¿ll do our best to get it to you by 9/19. Orders placed after 5:00 pm CT on 9/13 will ship in up to 3 weeks from order date. Keep an eye out for a shipping email with your tracking information. Thank you for your patience.
