can someone tell me how to order from the app on the iPhone? I don't see the "Add to Cart" or checkout button after selecting everything.

I just got a "We have an iPhone for you" and I got a reservation number. It says when my carriers website is reachable, they will email me and from then I will have 24 hours to order the iPhone from the link provided in the email. So I guess I can go back to sleep now? :confused:

Again, I'm in the boat of people waiting on an email from Verizon, but got through. I was probably one of the first ones, and the confirmation webpage says delivery by 9/19. I can't check to see if I have preauth charges right now. I won't believe it until I get the email; I'll call verizon when they open at 6. Time to get 2 hours of sleep now. I'll update you all in the morning.

complete BS folks. AT&T made me pick a DataPro 3GB plan in order to compete my order. Even though I don't need it for my plan. Adds another $60 to my 2 phones, and then 2 $40 upgrade fees.

I'm not paying that crap. I finally got thru about 48 minutes after 3:01am EST.
Strangely thought it started out with me being able to go thru and order the phone before 3am, like 2:50 or so, I was able to see the phones for pre order, while my other friend still had the count down on the page. Had I known about that little DataPro crap, I could have had my phone minutes before official time. Maybe even getting the phone on time for once!!!! :mad::mad::mad:

Whatever, it's done. 2 iPhone 6 Plus 64GB GOLD!! ITS GOLD!!! GOLD IS BEST! :apple:

Well, thank you T-Mobile for literally doing absolutely nothing this morning while everyone sat here and waited.

Seriously, John Legere, maybe you should spend less time drinking Red Bull and trying to be cool and more time getting the basics together. At least AT&T and Verizon customers got something.
 
Is anyone else completely not able to complete the part where you put in your phone number and billing zip code with Verizon? I'm using the App and I got that far on both iPhone & iPad but it always gives an error and says it couldn't connect to the carrier.
 
iPad app finally worked in Canada. Ordered an unlocked 64gb iPhone 6 for delivery between Sept 19-23.
Store is still down on the website. I was also able to reserve a 128gb iPhone 6 on Rogers.
 
Apple really need to get some stuff sorted out. Live stream for the keynote was awful and totally crapped out due to simple coding issues, as has been reported. Apple website totally crapped out come pre-order day and some sites not even back up yet. As the biggest company in the world sitting on huge data farms, how is this allowed to happen? I hate to say it, but Steve would be rolling in his grave.

May he rest in peace.

Steve was alive during the iPhone 4 pre-order disaster.

i got that too but didn't trust it. so i didn't write down the number.

however i keep trying to order and just keep getting error codes.

i don't know if i should keep trying or if they really have a phone reserved?

Few will read this but:

Use the app and just keep cycling through the sizes and colours. Eventually the combination you want may appear in stock!

I checked the app at 3:40 and only the 64 silver and 16 grey were in stock. I ordered the silver even though I wanted 64 grey. I sat there just cycling through for a while and eventually the "add to cart" button lit up for the 64 grey, after 30 minutes of trying.

Now I can sleep! Goodnight.
 
After reading this thread, I feel like I'm the only person on the planet who got the 16GB model.

Space Gray, not-plus, ordered from verizonwireless.com in USA (store.apple.com still down) at about 12:10 Pacific - got confirmation number and message saying e-mail confirmation will come within 24 hours - got e-mail about 30 minutes later. Bank still doesn't say my card was charged but they may just put it on my next bill. Verizon order status page is confirmed for 9/19 delivery date.
 
I just got a confirmation that my order went through but it didn't make me pay.

it says my order was reserved but the system is full?

Got a confirmation number and everything...doesn't seem right.
 
Apple seriously needs to just fire anyone who has anything to do with the internet at that company. These cock-ups are becoming all too regular for them. Problems streaming events and ordering products go back years, more than a decade even. And don't even get me started on Mobile Me iDrive. I mean this stuff never works.

Yes, I know it's an extreme spike in usage, but come on, no other company in the world should have better resources to throw at these problems, yet Apple seems to not care about them at all, they never get better. Even their error messages (if you even get one) suck.

I'm trying to be confident, but I'm a little disheartened. I really want to pick up in-store on the 19th. *sigh*

After way over an hour I finally got it to work! Was refreshing the webpage, iPhone and iPad app like crazy. Finally got my 64 GB space grey 6. For anyone else in canada, Keep on switching your hard drive size on the iPad app and eventually one will pop up for sale. Worked for me

Now I need to change my shipping address to my office building, but I imagine there is no way that's going to happen right now. I'll try it sometime tomorrow.
 
So it appears that apple is sold out according to the app yet the store has never opened in the browser world....

Would have been nice to have been able to use the gift card that I set aside for this tonight but the app doesn't let you select gift card as an option.
Where on the app does it say "sold out?"

"Currently unavailable" does not mean sold out.
