iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus Now Available for Pre-Order [Updated]

Still don't understand how i got a "conformation" email from AT&T at 2:48am Eastern which is BEFORE 3:00 am pre-order. And it gives me this!?:eek: I am hoping perhaps there is some sort of time stamp or they date could change. Here i thought i was sneaking in lol.

Apple has begun accepting online pre-orders for the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus in several different countries around the world, including the United States, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Puerto Rico, Singapore, and the UK. There have been many technical problems with the load of users, so users in some areas might not be able to reach the website, or the app at this time.

Several U.S. carriers, including AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, and Sprint are also accepting pre-orders for the devices. Multiple retail stores like Best Buy, Target, and Walmart will be accepting iPhone 6 and 6 Plus pre-orders when the stores open in the morning, at varying times.

Thus far, there have been few reports on available supply, but it's typically best to make an order right away if possible because in past years, pre-orders have sold out within mere minutes. iPhone 6 Plus supplies appear constrained, as AT&T and Verizon have shipping estimates of 14 to 21 days on several models.

In the United States, Apple is offering the iPhone 6 in 16, 64, and 128 GB capacities for $199, $299, and $399, respectively, with a two-year contract. Contract-free pricing begins at $649. Apple's higher-priced iPhone 6 Plus is available in 16, 64, and 128 GB capacities for $299, $399, and $499, respectively, with a two-year contract. Contract-free pricing on that device begins at $749.

The iPhone 6 and 6 Plus will be available in stores beginning on Friday, September 19, and the first crop of orders should arrive on that day. Apple is also allowing in-store pickup for iPhone 6 and 6 Plus pre-orders this year.

Update: It appears that while the app is up, the website is still down in the U.S. The app is also experiencing issues at times, giving users errors and listing all iPhone 6 Plus models as unavailable. Verizon and AT&T were taking preorders early, but appear to be overwhelmed.

Charlie Murphy ! Got mine thru the apple store app on my out dated Iphone5s . Had to work for it and keep refreshing the app . Work for it ladies ! Nobody wants to have a 5s by the end of next weekend . Charlie Murphy!

Exactly what I had to do. Canadian store never did go live for me.

Massively disappointed this year. 4:30 am and Apples website is still down? Someone is getting fired tomorrow. I have a confirmation from ATT but no email. Going to bed, don't care when I get it at this point.

Me too, wtf?! Did you happen to get the website link it said to check? Also it said something like we can pick where to pick it up correct? So pissed off!

was anybody able to place an order via online website?
I don't have my ipad with me and I currently have a non-iphone, only my macbook pro, so I can't place an order through the app, which is apparently the only working method at the moment.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I got the same thing through Verizon...should I try to create another order or should I just accept the reservation?
 
It took a long time, but finally got into AT&T to both change my service to a Mobile Share and then upgrade both mine and my wife's ones to new iPhones. We get a company discount, so had to go through Premier site to order phones, and it kept kicking me out to go to the next line. But, finally got everything through. FYI iPhone 6 - 64GB Space Gray on Friday 9/19 and iPhone 6 Plus - 64GB Gold ships in 14-21 days according to confirmation. Hopefully takes a little less on that one! Just checked with the Store app and everything seems to be sold out. AT&T site still seems to be a mess. Got confirmation emails, but the system cannot find the order on my account, if I can even get in.
 
In California for people doing the AT&T Next program, how much did you pay for the tax?

I selected the 128GB iPhone 6 Plus model and AT&T estimated my tax would be $121, in my area tax is 7.6% and that should be applied to the $949 price making it $68.

I didn't place my order, curious why it wanted to charge me almost double.
 
feel kinda bad for those who still are having issues getting through...i just ordered my 6+ 64 GB and I'm still able to get on to the apple store page. Was actually able to add another device to my cart all the way to checkout (just to see if my browser wasn't simply displaying cached pages).

Do in-store reservations require immediate payment?

I have Apple gift cards specifically for the phone. The Apple Store App is the only thing that (kind of) works but it doesn't accept gift cards, only credit cards.
