I was going to say this. I'm almost scared because it was so simple and quick on AT&T's website (I've always used Apple's)... I got order #s, but no confirmation email so hopefully that will come through soon enough.

Apple is still down and Verizon site gives an "ECPD profile error" when trying to preorder.

I too had the same issue with Verizon, thought I was typing something wrong.

oh its def down. You can wait in line on the att website but the only option it would give is the next plan which I do not want and I am eligible for a regular 2 year contract update. Pisses me off I stayed up for this.

Ordered a 6 Plus 64GB on Verizon's website just before 3AM EDT -- my confirmation actually says 2:59 AM. My estimated date was "delivered by 9/19". Figured I had to be in the first few thousand orders on VZW.com, as I was already logged in and refreshing the page, and skipped all of the optional prompts.

Yep. It only took me two login tries and got through the order in under 2 mins. Got the order number, pre-authorization charge, and now I just need the confirmation email.
