Same, I sent in my order right at 3am EDT and saw the same.

ATT's site was up for me right at 2:01 central. Apple's site still doesn't show anything for me.

I did the upgrade. I haven't received the email yet with the status. Can't seem to get back onto ATT's site to see if there is any shipping estimate.
 
Deliver's 9/19. To the primary account holder's billing address only.

Guess I'll be driving all night to get there and wait.
 
Does anyone know how to upgrade swap online for att? Keep in mind the phone i want to take the upgrade from is a dumb phone. I have always done it in store in the past so ya.
 
It's not that AT&T or verizon did anything special. I'm guessing they've got not as nearly as many people trying to get in their site.

Got no idea why, but firefox shows the apple store as up for me, chrome doesn't (not cached). Also just ordered it through the Uk apple website.
 
I ordered a gold iPhone 6 from Verizon's website just before 3 AM EST. Everything sailed smoothly for me. I started a totally new account as we're switching carriers. Signed up for EDGE. I was surprised it worked so smoothly on an iPad.

I was able to order it via the App Store as soon as it went live however Apple was unable to reach AT&T servers to process my order, but they reserved an iPhone for me with the specs I wanted... I have 24hrs to fulfill the order as soon as they email me with instructions... I hope this doesn't delay my arrival date and they don't cancel my reservation. :mad::confused:

After placing my order, I got an order number but Verizon did say that due to high demand...it may take up to 24hrs to get the confirmation email. Same thing happened when I ordered my 5S last year
 
And we're off....

UK website came online. Got my order in for my 128GB silver 6. Quick and simple. No slow responses, no time outs, nothing. Got the email in seconds...

Of course that might be because I placed my order BEFORE posting about it... ;)
 
Apple Store app worked, but I am looking to open a new line on T-Mobile and the app is only allowing upgrade of my existing AT&T account (and directing me to the full website to iron a new line ... and the full site store us down :confused:)
 
I ordered 6 iphone 6. 4 for 64GB and 2 for 16Gb. And 4 iphone 6 plus, 2 for 16Gb and 2 for 64GB. Worked fine right away for me. I did that maybe few minutes after 3:00am ET
 
The Apple Store app let me to place order. But it took me many attempts before it stopped showing 'Unavailable'. I've upgraded 3 out of 5 lines of my family plan. Now every configuration is unavailable.
 
I'm in with att site but I don't see the 2yr contract option just Next plan. Have someone experience this from your end.
 
For the first time since the original iphone I will not get a phone from the first shipment. thank you apple for botching up your website.. and thanks for making me download the stream event cause nobody could watch it on your **** stream service
