Who cares about the back?

Most people will put a case on it. I put the Iphone 5S leather case on it the minute I had it. I am more interested in the bezel space.

wherefore aren't thou, new headphone jack?

None of the mockups circulating seem to show the lightning-style headphone jack Apple is expected to introduce. Much is being made of how thin the iPhone 6 will be, and replacing the traditional headphone jack with lightning-style (say that like you would "Gangnam Style") is supposed to enable them to make devices much thinner.

As for the large size, did no one notice at WWDC this year that they are introducing the iPocket, a pocket which integrates with your current clothes and is big enough to hold the new phones? It even has a charger built in.

Curved glass as in a spherical section or cylindrical section? It would be really fun to make a screen protector for a spherical display from flat material.

Right now Sonny Dickson is teasing that he will post new photos of the 4.7'' iPhone 6 back housing in the next hours...

What are you going to do if it is?

If this is the final product then people will line up to buy one just like all other models that people have complained about before announcement. Face it, I don't want a bigger iPhone but big phones are all the rage now. I can't wait to walk around like a ****ing tool with a small tablet against my ear. I hope those kids in skinny jeans understand they need to buy a new purse to hold their new phones because there is no way these are pocketable phones.

Why the heck would u buy something that u think makes u look like an f'n tool? That's just a ridiculous. Just keep ur 5S so u can continue to look cool. Simple.

Sure, if you keep diamonds in your pocket.

Sapphire isn't a done deal. Not by any means. I have a feeling that sapphire will be the big feature on the 6S.

If I recall correctly, the lightning headphone jack is not a replacement for the regular headphone jack. It gives you another option for higher quality audio output only.

Sapphire isn't the only material that scratch resistant, Gorilla Glass is only slightly less hard.

$299 5.5inch iPhone 6 32GB??
$199 4.7inch iPhone 6 32GB??
$99 iPhone 5S??? 16GB??
$0 iPhone 5C??? 16GB??

^This.

Only downfall is my 128GB 5.5 is going to cost me 400$ :O
But if it really does have OIS, AC wifi, 128 Storage, and an extremely nice screen, i feel like it be worth every penny. 400$ phone now, 200$ per year is what i normally spend anyways, i update usually every phone released. i feel like i wont mind skipping the 6S if all is true!

Guys, are you really complaining about a 4.7 inch product in your pants being too big?

It's only saying that the glass will be flush with the aluminum, not that the glass itself will wrap around the edge. If true, it's most likely that the aluminum will wrap around the edge and meet the glass on the front, in sort of a seamless transition.

Ideally scratch resistant sapphire combined with aluminum in a seamless construction means the unnecessary need for a case.
I mean if this thing is as thin as some of the mockups, the last thing you want is to bulk it up again and hide the design (unless it has those thick antenna lines).

Ever carried a 5.5" phone in your pocket and did anything more than walk? I'm not an inactive individual and I could not stand having a 4.7" phone in my pocket.

I am a 6 foot male. and i am also in no way being condescending. you have your 4 inch phone, i want my 5+ inch phone. now we both win. its not my fault i have huge hands, nor is it yours for having small hands. I want a phone proportionate to my hand. Your "big enough" phone is "way too small" for me. this also goes with the theory of me looking like an idiot with a big phone to my ear. it doesnt look like that big of a phone when i hold it. kinda like how KD makes a basketball look like a softball..

Well regardless I've always suspected that this was not the final design. Apple would have zero reason to provide anything but dimensions of the final design, not the exact look of the device.

Sapphire would provide great protection for a curved screen that say flush with aluminum on the edge. If the rear of the phone does contain windows those windows could be sapphire as well.

No, I pay attention and I'm not clumsy and careless. ;)

Hmmmm :p

Dropped my iPod a few times - the only time any real damage was done when I was walking to work, headphones in, changing a track on the iPod.

I went to walk past someone on a narrow bit of pavement, I turned sideways to let them through and my headphone cable got caught on one of their coat buttons, ripping the iPod out of my hands and onto the floor, cracking the screen.

I really don't think I could have avoided that one haha  Accidents will always happen.

People who don't RTFA should be given a brief forum holiday, so they can reflect on how they need to improve their comprehension skills.

I'm glad the final model won't look like the mockups; they've been especially bad.

I hope this is true. Never cared for the tacky chamfered edges and a rounded design would feel much more natural for holding a phone.

Yea I'm not a fan of the white bands so I'm glad they might not really be included.

As for curved glass I've never used it but I don't see anything wrong with flat glass. That is unless the curved glass means edge to edge screen with wrap around design, then I am all for it haha.

What curved glass means to me is that maybe there won't be as noticeable of a bezel? But then again, the iPhone 4 has glass over the bezel, so my hopes may be unfounded. I also and thinking if the phone has glass sitting on top of the metal portion, it means the phone may be thicker than initial suggestions...

Get some JayBird Bluebuds X bluetooth headphones :) I also had the same exact thing happen to me when I went for a jog. The cord got tangled and ripped the phone away from me onto the pavement and shattered the back glass. Fortunately that side was cheap to replace.
