If you believe only 9 customers complained then you're naive. If I had a bent iPhone I'm returning that sucker for another reason. Just the 16GB model alone is $750 and I wouldn't want to be stuck with a bent phone. I made the mistake of telling Apple that I replaced their faulty battery in my wife's iPhone 5. They refused to touch my phone due to unauthorized repairs. So yes; I would not say one word about a bent iPhone when making my return.

Lol wat? That makes zero sense

There's got to be some philosophical way of explaining why customers blindly follow the "bigger is better" mentality. I'd bet even if the iPhone 6+ had a crazy 8 inch screen that sales would yield the same results because the 4.7 inch screen is automatically "inferior."

and you know this is "bigger is better" mentality, because? Are you psychic or something, and you just happen to know why people buy things? You just know that isn't because "omg I was able to read the screen of the phone without my eyes going crosseyed at the small screen" (and this wearing contacts/glasses) or "omg I finally like texting because I can comfortably text....

I don't get why anyone would give a crap about for my reason for getting 6+..... 6+ is working for me and it is pissing you off apparently .... that is enough for me...

You mean Apple got a pass for borrowing the entire concept of the screen touched smartphone and also the tablet.

Do you not recall what phones looked like before the iPhone? They were not touch interfaces so much as stylus and keyboard interfaces. The iPhone really was revolutionary in that respect. The iPad was just an extension of the same concept. Now of course Apple didn't invent the smartphone or the tablet by any means. But their implementation of it was certainly groundbreaking and subject to a lot of imitation.

Interesting.

I would assume most buyers already had an iPad or even an iPad mini, making the size irrelevant. And on top of that - with all the stories and pictures of bended iphone 6+, this seems even more surprising.

Only 9 customers and only idiots would actually try and bend thier device. You don't see Pepsi or Coke giving refunds for you carrying a bottle of drink your pocket and sat on it and break it. Everything breaks and bend some even have #Gaps so we just need to be smart with our device.

1. I think you may have missed the sarcasm
2. I bet Pepsi would refund you for that. They will give you a refund (as will many food and beverage companies) if you just tell them "I was not happy with this product". At least in the states.

They still sell the 5S.

Precisely, and with the A7, essentially the same display as the iP6, it is still a very very good phone and easily good for a few years if someone were to buy it now. All apple would have to do next year is to throw in an A8 in the 5s to keep the 4 inch fans really happy.

Well, 46 units statistically are a very little number, compared to more than ten million sold.

Really? Do I really have to point this out to you? My organization has over 500 iPhones. There are 46 iPhone 6 units in that population. Let's compare. There are approx. 500 million iPhones in the wild. Of those, approximately 10 million are iPhone 6 (Although I think that number is probably closer to 15-20 million by now). So 46 out of 500 is just under 10%. And let's give it the benefit of the doubt, and say that 20 million is about 4% of the total population of iPhones. So how is 46 out of 500 a relatively smaller number?

Fact is, if real statistics were to be released they would show about 10-15% of iPhone 6 devices in the wild were 6 Plus. I will eat my hat if that ends up being false. Come on, people. Get on a plane. Look at how many phablets you see. 1 out of 50, tops.

I remember the LG Prada before the iPhone.
The LG KE850, also known as the LG Prada,[1] is a touchscreen mobile phone made by LG Electronics. It was first announced on December 12, 2006.[2] Images of the device appeared on websites such as Engadget Mobile on December 15, 2006. look it up.

LG Electronics has claimed the iPhone's design was copied from the LG Prada. Woo-Young Kwak, head of LG Mobile Handset R&D Center, said at a press conference, “We consider that Apple copied the Prada phone after the design was unveiled when it was presented in the iF Design Award and won the prize in September 2006.”[9] The KE850 received a 2007 iF product design award,[10] where entries had to be shipped by September 2006.

Pretty certain Apple started working on the iPhone in 2004. Are you implying that Apple copied the Prada? Or just saying that the iPhone wasn't the first touchscreen phone?

What about the catastrophic bending design flaw though?

Its only catastrophic if you intentionally set out to bend it or one wears his or her jeans so tight the phone bends when sat on. Otherwise the phone is fine.

Show me a picture of the iPhone from 2004.

LOL! Wait...so you're implying that Apple designed, and mass produced a product in 6 months??

Show me an LG Prada from 2004. Or are you saying they developed it the day it was announced?

I know I was being sarcastic.

I don't have to show you a photo, history says that the Prada was out before the iPhone with images to prove it. Also LG threatened to sue Apple for copying the design, how could they if they copied Apple, doesn't make sense.

Woah woah woah...let's back up. Did I say that LG copied Apple? I'll answer for you: No. I did not.

I'm asking you if you think that Apple copied LG. Because if you say yes, you would have to concede that Apple saw the Prada's product announcement, said "yeah we're gonna copy that", and then designed and mass produced the iPhone in 6 months ready for release.

I mean, it's a free country and all so you can say whatever you want but that doesn't mean you'd make sense.

Well I've just gone full circle over the last 18 or so months. I've gone from iPhone 4 > Lumia 920 > Galaxy S4 > Lumia 930 > iPhone 6

I tried the iPhone 6 plus, but it just felt so long in the hand, even with the double tap pull down feature. It just felt awkward in the hand and in my pockets (Back Pocket Especially)

I also went back to the "Space Grey" colour because I found the white bezels were a distraction. The black with the black screen makes the device look more stealthy looking. It also helps to have the front bezel "Logo Free" unlike it's competitors.

I'm not really surprised by the response to the iPhone 6 plus sales. I left the iPhone because I considered the screen was too small. When Steve Jobs announced the iPhone was getting a bigger screen I was overjoyed, but then I found out all he did was make a taller phone. The same can be said about the iPhone 6 as well, but I find it's more proportional.

The iPhone 6 is the "Goldilocks" sized phone for me. :)

There's a lot more to this story, but I don't have all the facts, let's just say that the Prada was out before the iPhone, so Apple didn't bring the smartphone to the world, it was actually LG.

You're still wrong. Apple didn't bring the smartphone to the world, and neither did LG. The Prada wasn't a smartphone.

You've gotta stop regurgitating things you read online. I hope you don't think Apple sued because of rectangles.

I do actually, I thought they invented round corners, rectangles, wooden computers and Double Irish and Dutch Sandwich.

iPhone 6 Plus Reportedly Accounting for 60% of Total iPhone 6 Device Shipments

Not quite - the LG Prada was the first phone with a capacitive touch screen, not the iPhone. Before the first iPhone came out, I was using an HTC phone with a slide-out keyboard (the TyTN, if I remember correctly). That one already was a full-fledged smartphone - and at that time, there were numerous other ones on the market, mostly running Windows Mobile.

The iPhone was much nicer to use, though.

IMO, the Plus is selling so well for one simple reason: penis envy. Many, many people here were going on and on about how the iPhone 5S has the perfect size, how they'd NEVER buy a bigger phone, how all the Android phone manufacturers are stupid etc, yadayadaya. What was the first thing all these hypocrites did? They ordered the ridiculously massive 6 Plus. Because in reality, they'd been jealous like crazy for years and just defending their purchase. If every one of the posters here who was going on about the 5S's being perfect in size and then went out to buy a Plus posted a one-liner in apology for his hypocrisy, we'd have a 1000-post thread in less than an hour.
