I wonder if people choosing the 6plus are just more sedentary - and fatter too? The kind of people that just sit around on the couch all day, or at the desk all day, at eat. I just can't see how very active people wouldn't prefer as small a device as possible.

I highly doubt 60% of all iPhone users sit around on the couch all day.

I am an 'active' person and I ordered a 6 Plus. The bigger screen just worked for me more than the 4,7 inch.

Apple sells other items for active lifestyles: the iPod shuffle or the nano.

So much for Bendgate, eh? I don't know how much to believe those numbers though because it's clear that 6 Plus inventory has been limited and I don't think that's explained simply by high demand. In fact, clearly Apple is manufacturing fewer 6 Pluses. And in my own interaction with people, most can't get over how big the 6 Plus is.

FYI - I have no problem with people changing their minds. I did it with the original iPad. I do however think people should also have enough integrity to admit when they were wrong (if and when they are.) In fact, I have great respect for those that have posted that they were wrong about larger phones and that they really like the new iPhone and the larger size.

Once you state an opinion, you don't have to maintain it forever - or even in the same thread. But at least own it.

Agreed! I can honestly admit when Apple first announced the iPad in 2010, I thought it was a stupid idea. Fast forward to 2014 and I can admit that I was wrong. People's opinions change. Times change. Hell at one point, I thought a 5in screen was too big. I remember when the first Galaxy Note came out and I was like "wow, that thing is huge" Fast forward to now, I could never go back to a phone that's below 5 inches. It would be too small.

There is not too much bezel. Side bezel are very thin, and bottom bezel is needed because of the TouchID button. The only big bezel is the top one.

----------

Sooooo too much bezel. It dwarfs the LG G3 and has far less of a screen resolution.

If you want to see form factor done right, look at the new Sony Z3compact. Huge screen, tiny form factor, 2-7 day battery life, 20MP camera.

I wish Apple would get Sony to build the iPhone.

Is anybody having yellow tint issues on the left hand side with the 6+ From the fox on factory? Clearly if the foxcon factory is producing the plus then perhaps pegatron could perhaps show them how to get bloody displays right!

Reading some of the comments here, some people take this stuff way too seriously. Some people on here getting this heated b/c somebody actually prefers a bigger iPhone. Then you have some of those same people who have the audacity to say things like "Omg, how can anybody even get a phone that big when the 4.7 iPhone 6 is the perfect size?" As if your opinion is the only one that counts. Smh, the arrogance of some people man.

This is horrible logic. Aside from the fact the bottle won't easily stay in your pocket, odds are if you sat on an unopened bottle it won't break, and you can feel it have some give.

This sort of attitude is why I hate telling people I use apple products. A defect is a defect. Nothing's likely to happen, but we're not allowed to sit on our phones? My god, we always have been...

Samsung called there Gap with the new note 4 a feature so I guess we are all guinea pigs to these big companies that we passionately fall in love with their products we even defend them when they screwing us over including me sometimes. Personally I have my iPhone 6 plus in my pocket all day at work and no bending add occurred

Bloody humans. Now I'll never get my smaller iphone.

Buy an iPhone 4S and your problem is solved!

Thats insane. I skipped upgrading this gen, for the first time ever, due to both models being to large. Im amazed it sells so well, but also sad, because I guess this may be the end for the smaller models. Id prefer 4" and even 3,5" over these.

I had a 3.5" iPhone for the past 4 years. It's not that great after switching to the Plus.

Returned mine. 1 handed use was much more important than I realized so I don't regret trying it out first.

Was simply too darn huge for a phone. My wife said I looked like I had a soft cover book next to my head when using the phone ;(

Apples decision to use the same exact hardware with double the pixels made it that much easier.

To each their own but I have monster hands - so don't kid yourself like I did and think your going to be going to town on it with one hand.

Bigger is always better (almost) and a lot of those were impulse buys. Which is why Apple didn't anticipate so many. I'd bet my britches that a vast portion of them will be exchanged.

If nothing else it will be easier to move up later than to move down.

Every one I know has happily chosen the 6 over the 6+ in upgrading.

Then, I don't know the young game playing crowd.

I only know people that actually want to be productive and actually use it as a phone.

lot of complainers in here that are stuck in the past. technology will evolve you need to learn how to adapt and not linger in the past. in 20 years will you all still be complaining about it was sooooo good in 2010? I'm happy for apple actually growing up a little.

Although personally I'll never even think of owning the 6+ or similar... I'm so relieved to see Apple isn't behaving like RIM...

Well you havnt been around too many hot gals with nice backends! Most with skinny jeans that I see have it tucked in promiscuous places.

Hmm. Intentional or "I do not think it(that word) means what you think it means"

Saying the F word very slowly currently. I guess the current trend is going to be huge phones. Have to figure out something after the 4s runs its course.

I ain't mad though bro. :D

Also: I don't care that people want to carry around a large phone, I think it's stupid in my opinion and tech is WAY too much up peoples rears these days. I 100% don't see why they can't have an updated 4" phone as well for those who want a smaller device. It swings both ways. Has nothing to do with being against the future or whatever.

Same here. I admit originally I bought the 6 Plus, but it was way too big (even though I'm 6'2" with large hands). So much happier with my regular 6, it fits good in my hand and can use it without feeling like it going to fall.

At the Apple Store four people were in line with me exchanging their 6 Plus' to regular 6. A couple coworkers have done the same thing. The Apple Store employee I spoke with said he was doing exchanges all day as soon as their regular 6 shipments came in.

I agree with others the large screen of the 6 Plus is beautiful- just not the best size for me.

To each his own. I'm glad Apple gave people a choice!

My hind foot

3-4 weeks is VERY generous.

My 6 Plus is estimated to ship November 12 and I ordered it at Noon on the day of release. Let's hope they are trying to be conservative and it ships much sooner.

Thinner Please

I'm holding out for the iPhone 7. The iPhone 6 is simply not thin enough for me. I really want one that is thinner. Because, you know, that trumps everything.

The fact that you even mentions 20MP on a phone discredits everything else. Sony puts in a 20MP in there because they are desperate for a marketing spec win anywhere.

I got a Canon G16 I bought late last year and it "only" has 12MP and I'm sure it destroy the picture quality of that phone. Total obliteration. And it is not a DSLR.

Phones, because of their size, have limits that big sensor can't truly fix.

Return it and stop complaining about it. Or are you simply trying to get a rise from people?

So the Sony users are sitting on the couch with their fat ass taking amazing pictures of their basements, TVs and popcorn bowls...
