I really think Macrumours admin should start deleting these threads about the bending.

It's a non-issue people are still buying these phones like they're hot cakes.

Another sake started today with millions of iPhones sold out within minutes in the rest of Europe.

these threads are just fodder for fandroids and Smugsung fans to come and throw out their frustrations on their plastic pieces of crap..

Hahaaha delete threads on it because you think it's a non issue? Hahaahah oh my god wow

iPhone 6 Plus slightly bent after 2 days

Delete the threads because it's just a swarm of fandroids on here and trolls ruining the forum for all genuine Apple fans and users which is what these forums are all about.

No bugger off back to Android Central

Since it does embarrass the iphone community I'm sure you want it deleted...this issue will not be solved until we see what happens to the iPhone after several weeks of use.....then the thread should be deleted.

This thread is about discussion of apple products which this clearly pertains to. Stop being a biased fanboy.

Last-time I checked, my HTC One was made of aluminium. And my OS works perfectly fine. I'm also pretty sure that the "plastic pieces of crap" don't bend as easily as the iPhone 6. But then again, that is the awesome new selling point - iBend

Discussion???

LOL

trolling it's what is called...

So what happens if bentgate returns in a couple months, do you make another thread. Bendgate could be something that increases overtime and most us would like to see what actually happens and discuss it here. The phone has only been out for one week....my goodness

congrats now bugger off to the HTC forum...

So how many cases of these phone's bending have actually been reported in total?

Wasn't the figure only 9 as of yesterday?

----------

Also, let's have a look below:

Image
So what exactly is that picture supposed to prove?

Its two completely different phones, different operating systems, different specs all round, different quality levels, and two completely different price brackets. I am sure the Nexus 5 is a great phone for those who want that type of phone, but I don't see how it is relevant at all to the iPhone 6? There are reasons these manufacturers spec their phones the way they do and personally I don't care what one manufacturer did a few years ago as long as I am getting a quality product that performs the way I want it to. The iPhone 6 is a fantastic device and no amount of propaganda is going to discredit that.

Buy what you like, its a free market, the choice is there and we are not forced.

Of course its relevant? We can't fault Apple for sticking with lower (and cheaper) specs because it still works. Its just good business, don't fix whats not broken. But the fact of the matter is that the engine is OLD, and even though it still works its old, and we're paying premium for outdated technology. Even though it "works the way you want it" its still old. Its only quality on the outside.

I don't agree it is outdated technology because there would be no point packing an iPhone out with more powerful spec's if the the software is never going to utilise it to its full potential. We are paying a premium for the iOS experience, Apple has always been about the software first and foremost. They don't have any direct competition because they are the only company that offer iOS on a mobile device too.

I don't see the point in comparing them to Android because its a totally different approach. Android is free software that bases its whole ethos on selling the hardware. Its thirsty on RAM and processing power with every iteration so the demands on the hardware have to keep up. With Apple they offer an optimised interface and you pay for that along with the premium feel of each device. Lets face it no other manufacturer offers the level of finish and design that Apple does and I think this combination is the key to why they continue to be so successful. Apples and oranges and completely different business models :)

I understand this concept, and I used it myself when I got an iPhone 5. But the specs for the 6 are only marginally better than the 5 which at this point runs ios8 just as smoothly as the 6. Why would I (or anyone) pay so much for what is essentially a larger iPhone 5? For the brand name? Thats ridiculous and closed minded. I use my phone for 3 things- internet, calling, and clash of clans. I could use my 5 for another decade I bet. I wanted a bigger screen but with it, I wanted more for my money, not just the same experience again. I didn't buy my e63 amg to street race an m5, but I appreciate the fact that I could. Do I need that power? No. Do I want it if its going to cost the same as the competition? Absolutely.

I can't fault your personal criteria when buying a new phone. I was happy enough to upgrade from the iPhone 5 to the 6 and felt it was worth it, for me. I'm happy with my choice and think the 6 is a brilliant phone. Its just personal preference :)

How could 9 people cause all this genuine question.

Samsung behind it....

fandroids will never understand your reasoning...

it's all about the specs for them!

Proof that people break their stuff

"I have been so careful with my S4, never dropped it. Looking after it. Today I put my phone in my front jeans pocket like always. Got in the car and after a 5 minute drive got out and the screen is showing funny colors and its cracked ;( "

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2287882

That forum is exactly like this one its hilarious. All you haters need to leave and stop the "apple made a poor design". People just break their stuff, simple as that. Jeez, I can't believe this was such big news, there's been no proof that Apple's design is flawed or that it'll bend in your pocket, Just a couple photos and videos of people intentionally breaking the phone. At least the iPhone keeps working after you bend it, all the other ones crack and break or they.

The only difference is no "Apple lovers" trolled this forum even after 100 pages.

If there is only 9 that tell me this was user error or 9 very unlucky people I would be happy to still buy one with them results.

Samsung is plastic
iPhone is aluminium
Care to compare two different materials??
Idiotic!![

He's not comparing two blocks of materials, he is comparing two phones.
When you buy a car, do you care about the exact mix of steel used in its engine? No, you care about design, about features, about performance...
When you take a plane, to you care about the particular brand of aluminum used? No, all you care about is that the wings will stay attached to the plane and will not bend...
When you buy a toilet seat, do you care about the precise brand of ceramic used or about what kind of steel was used to reinforce it? Nope. Unless you're an extremely obsessive individual, you just care that it won't crumble under you when you sit on it...

That's the same with a phone. You buy a phone based on its design, performance, application ecosystem, operating system... You don't care about the material. Picking the right material for the normal use of a phone is the burden of the manufacturer, not of the customer.
What the customer might care about is knowing if phone A is more resilient than phone B. How this resilience is achieved, whether it's through choice of material or layering of several materials or structure is really of no concern to the customer...

The problem is that you're looking at the whole problem with fanboy glasses. The issue is not too give a good mark for efforts to your favorite brand, whether it's Apple or Samsung. Only shareholder, employees or insane people care about that. The customer just doesn't give a damn about efforts, he just wants results. The issue is just to determine if a phone is fit for normal use or not.

Understand this skanska...Someone ranted that is was only 2 that complained just yesterday, and now its 9. Give it more time, and more customers receiving the iPhone 6+ will weigh in or will complain directly to Apple since they may not know of this forum. Remember it just came out.

As far as the other ranter saying that no iPhone can bend while inside the front pockets. Where does it say it cannot ? Who gave him this authority of knowing this ? Tight front pockets, bending over, getting in and out of a car, chair and yes one MIGHT bend it over time. Not to mention bumping into something. Goodness, why can't some people understand, some have issues and they have every right to voice their anger and disappointment on this forum. You nut cases that rant about them don't you ? They have the same right. :p

Its finally all the recent people joining the forum just to say useless crap. Wonder how that note 4 release is going today. They sell out? Probably not.
