Thanks for sharing this..

I just cut them out and used some cardboard to get an idea of what it would be like. For some reason i thought it would only be a little smaller than my mini . But its not, its a lot smaller and seems very manageable. The 4.7 is just barely bigger than the current 5 (seems like), basically almost unnoticeable in jeans just like current phone. All else can change once in the hand.

Think im swaying to the 5.5 now

I doubt you cut them out right then, because the 4.7" is significantly bigger than the current iPhones. The iPhone 6 is even bigger than my old Moto X (same screen size) and even it makes the current iPhone look small.

At first I was dead set on getting the 4.7 but am now getting the 5.5 for the following reasons:

-Ability to watch movies in 1080p on a larger screen while I'm at work

-I rarely make voice calls and 95% of the time I use my phone for Facebook, watching movies/YouTube, messaging or browsing the web

-Optical image stabilization

-Easier to show content to someone else I'm with with a larger screen

-Slighty better battery life

I agree with Lloydbm41, are you sure you cut them right? I printed it out and compared to my iPhone 5S, it's much bigger. I think you're looking at the 5.5 and you just feel like the 4.7 is not really that big, but compared to the 5S, it is.

I played around and put them layered on top of each other for you to get an idea:

Yeah but it also has a higher res display, better camera, and significantly better battery life...

Have read a few hands on reviews saying there is no noticeable difference, based on the distance you're looking at each one

To each his own. I've been waiting a long time for a big iphone. I'm a woman and I say bigger is better. :p

I put my 4s on the measured diagonal 4.7 paper it was not big enough for me to get all excited about. The 5.5 paper cutout was significant. I've waited 2 years for a big iPhone so I'm excited about the 5.5.

if I don't like it I will return or sell it. I have 30 days on the t-mobile non contract iPhone from Apple store. Getting big gold 64MB.

I don't usually put phone on my pants pocket, because car keys, coins are usually there, so i guess iPhone 6 for me so i can still put it in my front shirt pocket. I hope.

To me it's bigger, yes. But in the pocket for daily use, I don't think id notice that much of a difference when using the 4.7 .Maybe at first, but within a few months? The 5.5 is a monster and months down the road you'll still know it's 5.5 . But not as bad as I originally thought. And yes compared their night n day. Think the sweet spot would have been 5"

I believe that since the IP6+ has more to offer and is the higher tech device! preference of smaller sizes may be overlooked.

Thank you for posting. Nicely done!!!

Of course you'll get used to the size after a while. Same goes if you get the 5.5. At first you'll feel that it's huge but then after some time you'll get used to it.

No problem. I read that you're getting the 5.5. I'm a woman too but my female hands won't make it comfortable for me to hold the bigger phone :)

I'm 5'11 not petite. I use my nook one handed so I will be fine with the 6 plus. I mostly text, web, watch videos and FB. It's not too big to talk on the phone plus it will be easier to read the text and see the screen without having to find reading glasses.

Not sure if I'm printing this out properly, but when i put my actual iPhone 5 over the template.....it is quite a bit bigger in real life.....in fact my iP5 is nearly the exact same size as the iPhone 6 template......so bit confused on this as to whether or not the 6 plus template is actual size or not??

Edit: never mind, I'm an idiot.....print to actual size instead of fit......duh me! :D

I still believe the 5.5" is too large.

Yes, it has the better resolution. Slightly better camera/battery and 1 extra iOS feature...

But for what I do with the phone, which is text, call browse the internet and check sports... I have no need really for that huge display.

One of the huge reasons I even own iPhones is because they are sleek and comfortable and work well. I think the 6+ is too cumbersome and I don't want to have to use 2 hands to text.

And yes I have large, guitar player hands and I still think it's too big.

I'm petite, only 5'3. That's why I won't be getting the 5.5" iPhone, it's just way too big for me :)

During the presentation I was convinced I want the 6 Plus - mostly because of the iPad-like apps when turning in landscape.
But it's 10% taller than a Note 3. A work collegue has the Note 3. It's a monster.
I will get the 6 and an iPad. Still the best combo.
