I'm sure the cloud is infinitely more secure than the phone that is in his pocket, on his desk, in his car etc...
What makes the cloud "infinitely more secure"?
(legit question)
...also security is only ONE concern in this instance. The other being that if the pics were "in the cloud" to access them he'd have to have: a) a solid internet connection which isn't always available or b) a good OTA connection which isn't always available AND would have to use data to get to everything needed.
It only makes more sense to have it local (on the handset) in his case.
As a 64-GB iPhone 5 user with < 10GB free -- I simply like to have ALL of my music on my phone. I listen to music 97% of my waking life and I like to have it local to me. I don't want to pay data charges to listen to music when I'm driving or out on the trail exercising. I've amassed a large music collection over the last 20 years or so and I like to have it with me. Do I always listen to everything that's on there? No... but I DO like shuffle and the more I have the more variety I have.
I just don't see how it's so unfathomable to people that someone would have a need for more than 64 GB of storage....
