I set the alarm for 1:45 (central time) to get up and get online by 2am. Somehow managed to sleep through that and woke up at 3.

I was able to order 2 at&t 64gb iPhones (one rose gold and one silver) for delivery on 9/25 direct through apple. Are some of you saying those were sold out? I can't believe I am still getting launch day phones after oversleeping; I was seriously kicking myself!

I also didn't see the option to pick up in store; the drop down seemed to be unchangeable?

Preordered 6S+ Gold through AT&T Premier. Got into the website at 3:00 EST, shipping time was already Oct 13-26th. What, did they not get any in? Even worse, wife's order crashed before checkout, and we never got a confirmation for her. So now, AT&T site is working, but Premier seems to have crashed, and because we have a corporate discount, we can't just use the regular AT&T site. Ugh.

Same here. Got a very late October shipping window. Too bad I was adding a new line, or I would of done it directly through Apple. Ordered a 6s Plus 128GB in Space Grey.

Tried using the AT&T site, orders are pushed back to almost November there already. Switched to the Apple website, but kept getting timed out...then used the Apple mobile app and it went through within 2 minutes! 9/25 delivery

Did anyone else get a confirmation on the web page; however, did not receive an e-mail? Been about 30 minutes now and no e-mail confirmation as of yet.

Yay !!! Lol

This went much more smoothly than previous iPhone preorders for me. Got a Verizon 64 GB 6S Plus in Space Gray pegged for September 25 delivery and I didn't even go to the site until after 12:30. No glitches this time.

Now where's my new Apple TV?

This may be silly but this is my first pre-order of an iPhone.

I bought one for delivery and then realised in store pickup was an option. So I've reserved one to pick up in store.

Is there ANY chance of me turning up and them not having the phone model in stock on launch day?

I don't want to cancel my other order if so.

[\sillyquestions]
It's not a silly question. Apple seems to teeter totter on in store pickups. One year they allow them, the next they don't. I did two for in store myself and it said that it was subject to availability. To me this reads "see, when we mess up our inventory and we don't have it in stocked, we warned you!" Will that happen? Hard to say. The few times they have allowed in store pickup I didn't have an issue, but I was always there by open early in the am anyway.

The real question, since a lot of people ar having an easy time with order, especially in store pickup orders, is whether Apple finally has the stock to support launch day demand (I am sure they will still sell out, but how quickly?)

I ordered 4 phones, haven't received any emails yet,but I believe it's normal since their servers are getting hammered.

My iPhone has been pre-ordered & should arrive on the 25th!
- iPhone 6s Plus (128 GB Space Gray)

This will be my first new iPhone since the iPhone 5. I'm excited!

So, I've ordered my first iPhone, an iPhone 6S 64GB Silver. Hopefully, it will indeed be delivered on the 25th!

PS: My email confirmation also took about 15 minutes.

Pre ordered!!!! 128 GB Rosegold 6S ALL MINE.

Also PSA, Australia has just lost all stock of 128gbs for rose gold AND gold. Good luck all my other Apple Sheep. happy Pre ordering!

Tried doing the preorder but only options they gave me was pay full price or use carriers installments plans. So when I hit reserve at Apple Store it think that I am getting one and paying full price. Dose this happen to anyone else?

Apple is now accepting pre-orders for the iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6s Plus through its online storefront and through the Apple Store app. Pre-orders are available in first wave launch countries including the United States, Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, the UK, Hong Kong, Japan, New Zealand, Puerto Rico, and Singapore.

All of the major U.S. carriers, Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile, are accepting pre-orders for the new devices, but online pre-orders are not available from retailers like Best Buy, Target, and Walmart.

We haven't heard rumors pointing towards supply constraints for the iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6s Plus, but it's best to make an order right away if possible. In past years, iPhone supplies have dwindled significantly following the kickoff of pre-orders, and with last year's iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, 6 Plus supplies sold out quickly.

Both the iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6s Plus come in 16, 64, and 128GB configurations, with four color options: Silver, Space Gray, Gold, and Rose Gold.

iPhone 6s pricing in the U.S. starts at $199 with a two-year carrier contract, with the 64 and 128GB models priced at $299 and $399, respectively. Without a contract, the iPhone 6s in 16/64/128GB is priced at $649/$749/$849.

iPhone 6s Plus pricing in the U.S. starts at $299 with a two-year carrier contract, with the 64 and 128GB models priced at $399 and $499, respectively. Without a contract, the iPhone 6s Plus in 16/64/128GB is priced at $749/$849/$949.

Customers who wish to make a purchase through Apple's new U.S. iPhone Upgrade Program will need to make an online reservation for an in-store appointment. Reservations are available now.

In-store sales of the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus will begin on Friday, September 25, which is the official launch day for the new devices.

Every time i try to make a reservation it asks me to sign in and then doesn't do anything?!?!?!?!

Did anyone else get a confirmation on the web page; however, did not receive an e-mail? Been about 30 minutes now and no e-mail confirmation as of yet.

Got my email confirmation about 30-40 minutes after completing the order on Apple.com. 2 minutes before Verizon emailed me trying to get me to order from their site :)

Why not, merely because of the lower profit margins for Apple? The 4 inch screen is perfect for my needs and I would really enjoy an updated version of it.

Not because of profit margins (although I guess it has ultimately come to that). Apple has, historically, shown that once they abandon a standard, it is gone. They never looked back at 3.5". They never looked back at lowed definition displays. I don't see them looking back to a 4".

That't not to say I don't recognize your needs/wants, but we also have to be realistic here. How will it be priced? Will it have lesser components and be a budget model, thereby dumping the previous 1-3 models as the budget models?

So, when you think about it, yeah, profit margins. Apple couldn't even "afford" to give us a 32GB base model, something that is pretty much the norm on higher end (read: $650+) devices these days. **shrugs**

Able to buy full price on Apple Store, but then went to order another with the Next plan, and get "We are currently unable to retrieve your loan agreement from ATT" Was I supposed to set that up beforehand or is ATT just not updating?
No. Just keep hitting the "place oder" button. Eventually it will go through. Got that message about 30 times before it went through.

Reserved a 64gb 6s for in-store pickup through Apple upgrade program. :D

Interestingly, the site said it was in stock now at my local store, but that 9/25 was the first available pickup date.

Weird.

Cheers mate.

The confirmation seems to suggest it's not subject to availability but I take your point it's probably hidden somewhere that it is.

I may take the chance and cancel the delivery order...

Attempted to access AT&T's site for about an hour - successfully logged in and proceeded through much of my order, until I received this error message (pic below).

At first I assumed this must be an error - *SURELY* AT&T wouldn’t close down the ability to upgrade the moment the new phones went on-sale? Indeed, they appear to have done just this - the AT&T upgrade system came back online promptly at 3am CST (the end of the one hour timeslot they referenced in the message screen below)

Between this astonishing lack of foresight, and the grumpiness and impatience of the upgrade team when I called in earlier this week to confirm some details, I just dunno…

(BTW: eventually managed to pull it all off via Apple - Sept 25/launch day delivery of 6S+ one hour & 20 minutes after they went on sale)
