…So, uhm, has someone of you that's using the ringer switch, after replacing the phone or the screen, solved the problem for good? I have got mine replace 6 times by now, and every time, after less than a week of use, the dust returns in the top left corner. It's very frustrating. I'm thinking about replacing it one last time, and just sell this damn thing.

Just sell it. The next owner probably won't look as close as you do.

I myself have gone through 3 replacements and all tend to have the same issue after a while. So this is a design flaw right?

Not sure if I'll be able to sell it out since if the buyer wants to check for any dead pixels and put the whole screen on white background, it'll definitely be noticeable.

Dust under display is very common. If you look very carefully and spend a good 5 minutes on a white background at 100% brightness with a lint free cloth and check at multiple angle of views, you will find that 80% of the phones have dust inside. It's been like that since inception.

Dust under the screen should never be an issue since the last few gens have had the screen and glass laminated. If there's dust it's manufacturing fault and should be replaced.

Thankfully I've never had dust under any iPhone since the 3GS and I've had them all until the 7 Plus now. I'm very fussy with my screens and I like them flawless. The iPhone is all screen so it should be be flawless.

If you can get perfectly good looking 50"+ TV screens then 5.5" and smaller screens should be bloody easy to make flawlessly if Apple don't cheap out on it.

Dust under the iPad though I've had a few with that unfortunately. Apple has replaced them everytime with flawless replacements though.

I think so. I had four different devices (plus 1 screen replacement) and on every single one of them the issue started to appear after a couple of days - and it gets worse over time.

All the claims regarding "bad batch" or something are definitely bs because I had phones with manufacturing dates spanning 14 months or so.

Just to be clear, I pretty much baby my devices and other than the screen issue all of them were as good as new when they were replaced. Before that I had an iPhone 6 which is still in use and still rocks a perfect screen.

I think the reason that this isn't getting more attention is that most people either don't have an eye for this kind of stuff or simply don't care.

Yea most of the time it goes unnoticeable if you don't pay attention to it. However I'm just worried that when I sell it off, the buyer would notice it since it is quite common to display out a white screen to check for any pixel issues. Hopefully I'll be able to sell mine off without much fuss, looking forward to this year's iPhone.
