Who says they missed it? But sometimes that dead line looms. Besides 9.0.1 is either out or supposed to come out in a few days and they're already testing 9.1.

If this were android we'd be screwed, but those sweet, sweet Apple updates come just as soon as possible.

I knew this would be an issue because of 3D touch. This could be quite annoying as one may want to move an icon and instead 3d touch is activated. Don't want to have to turn off 3D touch with to move icons around.

THIS! is by far the most exciting and entertaining feature, i can't believe they left this out of the keynote.. heading out to camp now ;:D seriously though, thanks for sharing the info, can hardly wait

It's neat, but not super useful yet unless you rely on Apple apps. For me i would only use it a lot on messages and iBooks. As third party adds support seems like it will be nice for shortcuts. I don't think I would turn it off.

Camp now? Where do you live?
 
How much free space on the 16GB? Can you take a 1 minute 4k video and then check again?

since the world is apparently homophobic, i understand that he was clarifying that instead of more of a "rose gold" it was "pink" in reference to the many people apologetically claiming it's not pink

Yeah it seems pretty weird that they wouldn't have tested for that before release. I mean, it's kind of a big interaction method that is used fairly often. A deep press would easily fix it. Perhaps in 9.1 we'll see a fix. I think for now the key is holding but making sure not to press hard. I wonder if we've just become accustomed to pressing hard during a long press? Kind of like the early days of gaming. Leaning with the controller even though it doesn't do anything.

The official estimate (the one shown in settings) I believe had it at either 300 or 350.

Realistically, 300 to 350 will be the range anyways, depending on lighting, movement, etc.

Haha hair-gate? I must have missed that one. I most definitely did not try to bend it, but i will say this: it better not bend. Lol. Nuff said.

OP, how well does the phone handle heavy multitasking? Like 3 Safari tabs open along with many big apps open and switching between them? Any refreshes?

There is no PM here is there? Funny I was trying to PM you earlier.
 
Carrier demo devices have custom software items loaded specifically for retail locations. Example: contacts and such are preloaded and stay there. Don't remember right now if the other display iPhones are like that though but this one may have such a tweak.

Source: I am a manager of a major carrier corporate retail store... Have not opened my display yet.
