Apple did the right thing and introduced a phone that many will like. Three sizes should please just about everyone and we can opt for the one we like, not what some say we should have. Its personal, you know

I never had an iPhone due to the narrow screen. Now I do. (6+). Won't catch me with the narrow screened SE.

I don't understand why some people have the problems they do with their devices ? Destiny ???
I've had many iPhones and have loved them all. In prefer the Plus size.

So? If you see a clear instruction in my thread title to run and buy the SE, do or don't do it. To me (again), it is just another personal opinion that you might or might not agree with. I don't really get your point: I am not trying to convince anyone of anything, why would I?

Hmmm, it seems you are trying hard to justify your decision to keep your 6S (6?) or your inability to switch to the smaller and cheaper SE with longer battery life. (without any ugly Samsung-like protruding camera lenses which don't do the new 9,7 inch iPad Pro any justice either considering the amount of complaints from artists I read about who want the same design as the bigger iPad Pro that you can lay flat on the table while drawing/typing - that's why I decided to stay away from this 9,7 inch iPad Pro) :)

If you have never heard about the issue of dust entering the iPhone 6S and accumulating under the screen or looked properly at the screen of your 6S, then I can recommend you to read some of these threads (or do a quick google search yourself):

Some people who actually care about the quality of the screen exchange their 6S's several times just to discover the same problem with their new phones, which is rather disappointing.

As far as I know, there were no complaints of 5/5S owners about this dust issue: while my 3GS accumulated dust under the screen and it was sad to find new dust particles every month, the problem was permanently solved after the introduction of the iPhone 4 in which glass and screen were glued together as one package. The new 6S with its "groundbreaking" 3D Touch feature reintroduced this issue (unfortunately).

Ignorance is and remains a bliss, I still believe.

I've still never heard of the dust thing until today. I work with phones all day and have sold God knows how many 6S models but I've never heard about dust under the screen...not even from other customers. Thankfully it never happen to my iPhone.

And tbh, damn near every iPhone that has come out has had some sort of issue. The 4 had the antennagate thing, and the 5 series had the scratch and scuffgate issue, and of course the 6 had good old bendgate. I'm pretty sure there will be some random issue with the SE too, when it launches

Yes I do...but I'm also on my phone more than most becuase it runs my livelihood ;) it suits me fine and it's very convenient to me being so small and having to work and bend down often. Just showing another opinion or experience if you couldn't figure that out .

Your experience does not mimic his, I doubt you use it much for browsing and videos and gaming. I EASILY figured that out and I doubt most would be happy with that size if they were to do lots of that.

If the SE was introduced together with the 6S, I might have gotten it instead of the 6S.
My disappointment is its 1.2MP front facing camera. Come on, Apple should know by now that people use the front facing camera for selfies more often than simple video calls.
I think the SE is an interesting decision. It makes the iPhone 6 to be in a weird spot, being more expensive and yet inferior performance. It should be quickly rectified with the iPhone 7, and we will simply have the lineup as SE, 6S, and 7.

Another problem I have is the SE pricing in Singapore. The 64GB is about USD $604, $100+ more than US price.

I use mine mostly for reading stuff from the Internet, a 4" low-res screen is simply not good enough for that purpose. My mom loves small phones, though, but she uses them mostly for messages and calls. Anyway, I'm very satisfied with my 6S.

Here's how I see it.
People are going along their merry way very happily using their devices.
Then one day they find a forum where someone is complaining about an issue. Then they read some other people have the same issue.
Then they take a magnifying glass and start scrutinising the device they had been happily using not five minutes earlier and BAM!!!! THEY SEE IT!!!!! IT'S THERE!!!! Something they hadn't noticed before and which hadn't affected their use of the device and which can't be seen unless you stand on your head and face California while drinking and alfalfa smoothie is now making the device ABSOLUTE TRASH. And how DARE Apple force them to buy this device and OHMYGAWD Steve would have never allowed this to happen.
So they get on the forum and scream to the high heavens that OH MY GAWD ME TOO I ALSO HAVE THIS and tell others who are not bothered by that thing that can't be seen unless you stand on your head and face California while drinking an alfalfa smoothie that they're sheep and Apple apologists and making excuses for Apple.

Or something like that.

I would not entirely agree with that: if you buy an iPhone 6S, compromises need to be made (battery life, dust getting under the screen).

its interesting this happens to 6s as well, the dust thing

my 6s plus has it in the upper left, all these reports make me not want to swap it at genius bar, even after 9.3 is jailbroken if it is

Is this anything like the first generation iPad light bleed issue ? Go into a windowless room, turn your brightness up to a retina burning 100%, view a picture of a black screen, and turn off the lights to see light bleed ?

What electron scanning microscope are y'all using to find the stated screen flaws ???

I'm digging the SE but 6S is flawed? Come on mate.

You can like one without criticising the other.

I am not critisising for the sake of critisising. For me, it was a real problem to find a flawless iPhone 6S. I spent more than $1000 on that (128Gb model) and after replacing it two times decided to go for a refund.

If your phone doesn't have any issues, I am very happy for you. My personal experience with the 6S was however quite a disaster: some other owners complain about it as well. Unfortunately, I do not have much time for inspecting these phones and swapping them over and over. This time, I will try to order an SE and hope it will be a great phone.
