This is not accurate. I have the dock as well, and it's most certainly not pink. Copper really is a much better description.

Perhaps pink isn't the correct term. Maybe salmon or coral, but it's definitely not copper (which is found on the rose gold Edition).

We'll just have to agree to disagree then. I don't know what kind of pennies you carry around in your pocket or what fine vintage cookware you've used, but that dock ain't copper. Not even close. I say pink, you say copper. Tomato, tomato.

Mine just changed to preparing for shipment. Rose gold 128GB 6s Plus ATT&T carrier ordered from Apple site several minutes after 3AM EST because site wasn't up (at least for me) right at 3AM. I hope the color isn't pink with just a gold cast. I don't want a pink phone. I've never returned anything to Apple but would they be glad to get one back (unused, just unpacked to see it) as it's a "rare" color? Also, silly maybe but, I wonder if we can get the other fighting fish on our phone if we don't like the orange one for rose gold? I have to admit, silver and blue fighting fish color combo is best for blue fish.

Or is it like the Apple watch: You cannot get every size (38mm vs. 42mm)/watch band/watch color, etc. combination? At least now there is a navy blue band / gold sport watch combo. Before I had to just drool over the navy/gold edition. But it's true that the gold of the Edition is (to me) prettier than the ersatz duller gold color of the sport.

I have an antique pocket watch passed down in the family (it's engraved with 1915) so I wanted the rose gold phone but not if it's more pink than gold. I suppose I could just slap a case on it.

I wouldn't fret too much. The photos stink and Apple's renders are never spot on. As an example the Sport Watch with the lime green band - the band is not lime green but more a taffy green.

Rose gold iPhone should have been called pink. The apple watch rose gold is true. This is a lie.
Oh lighten up. Rather than calling Apple a liar, just realize that any company can call the color of their products anything they want. Most companies don't even use standard color names anymore. I saw the Rose Gold iPhone 6S on CNBC and the pics on MR certainly don't look right. The one on CNBC looks very much rose gold. The Apple Watch looks better because it is real gold and it's high-polished metal. Of course it will look more of a natural rose gold than the iPhone 6S.
Less males would buy the iPhone 6S if it was called Pink. Try to understand that rather than calling Apple a liar. Ridiculous.

You can call it what you want, but I'm looking at it right now. Way closer to copper than pink.

Boy, they're really catering to the Chinese this round. They were already a hit with the gold model, and with the rose gold and exotic fish theme, they are going to eat this up big time.
They should write: "Designed in California and Made in China for Chinese only"

Well, if you both have the same model of dock ... one of you is colour-blind.
Maybe we just have different idea's of pink, but this definitely doesn't qualify for me. It's a lot darker than what I consider pink. I have also yet to see an image or video that accurately represents the color. You really need to see it in person.

Lol are you in bed with Apple? Is Apple paying you? I can call them whatever I want. Get over your obsession with Apple. They aren't sent by God. Ridiculous.

The member you replied to was actually suggesting that the rose gold aluminum Apple Watch Sport (not the real rose gold on the Edition) is a different color from what's seen on the rose gold iPhone. This is highly questionable.

I'm actually interested to hear what you think about it. I never bought a leather case for the iPhone 6 because they didn't offer the brown color that they had with the iPhone 5S. Really liked that color. Looking at either a saddle brown or midnight blue case.

I love it! This is going to look awesome with the white/silver model.

I know that and I acknowledged that in my reply in fact. It's okay though, after seeing his unnecessarily rude response I now know who I'm dealing with and I'll move onto speaking with other people that have a civil and adult attitude.

My gosh these white bands look so fugly. I predict iPhone 7 will get rid of them and everyone is gonna wanna ditch their 6/6s and forget they ever owned them.

Those are terrible quality photos in bad light. Definitely not indicative of the actual color.

I retrospect I can't believe Johny Ive would be proud of this, it's just so bad on so many levels, imagine an Android phone having some white plastic bands destroy the metallic aesthetic of the phone, we'd all be making fun of it, no?

I'm not referring to the pink color, just the white bands; they look bad even on Apple's ultra sexy PR photos, there is no way to get around the poor design choice.

Most people have this silly requirement that the phone function. Up to you though. I'm sure your design and engineering credentials must exceed Apple's as you seem to know a lot about this.

I'm probably one of the few people that like Rose Gold color. I love pink. much to my husband dismay. i had hoped that the RG was more of a pinkish color rather that a copperish color . it looks like my wish came true. I already brought a clear hybrid case for it. so that the pink can shine. though i know its not for everyone as everyone has different tastes. now my husband is wishing that apple would come out with an electric blue color with a black front. That would be his dream. :)
