16GB will become totally useless for iPhone 6s series. To fill it up. simply take multiple pictures or a short 4K video.

I hope, Apple could increase entry level capacity to 32GB, although I will always go to the maximum I can get when I change/buy a phone.

I'm an entry level iCloud subscriber ($.99 a month plan) and have no issues with photos/videos. When I plug my phone in at night they simply upload to the cloud and off my phone...i take LOTS of pics and videos too. If I want to view them, boom they stream to my phone from the cloud and they're there without sacrificing HD space.

I'd gladly spend $12 a year for iCloud vs getting a >16 gb phone and pay that premium. The apps I use I use. The ones I don't I delete and redownload if and when needed.

While it's impressive, it should have been this way to begin with. We pay a premium for Apple quality and they are delivering with the 6S. Since the Plus needs so much force to bend, the regular 6S should be even more sturdy.

I'm glad there are videos like this to give us peace of mind. There was always that little nagging feeling in the back of my mind anytime I would do something that might put a little stress on the 6 Plus in my pocket.

Tomorrow evening can't come fast enough! This thing is going to be rock solid. I've already got a really nice case ready to go. I also picked up an Anker 10400mah external charger pack to keep in my bag. Figured it's good for emergencies like ice storms and it can charge my iPad Air 2 once and my iPhone 6S twice, or my iPhone 6S six times. It's fairly small, has two charging ports, can charge an iPad at full speed and costs only $20 on Amazon. My only worry about going back down in size is running low on battery so this will help.

I've got some other Anker stuff too. They're quickly becoming one of my favorite brands, even though they aren't well known. They even have nice packaging and the battery came with a nice carrying pouch. Ok this is starting to sound like a commercial but their stuff really is designed well. Their five port charger is great too and it's the only charger I bring on our family trips. My wife and I call it the squid because of all the cables running out of it. It can charge two iPhones, an iPad, Apple Watch, and our Sony RX100 all at once.

Honestly all these 'lets wreck a perfectly good device to get hits on YouTube' are disgusting. I refuse to give them any clicks.
How is it disgusting when it's made Apple use a better quality and thicker aluminium, if these people hadn't done tests, the phone would be even worse by now.
What a dull world it would be if there was no YouTube.

Of about 11 people I know with either a 6 or a 6 Plus (mostly 6 Plus) not a one has experienced even the slightest of bends in their phones. And one of the guys is pretty massive. Mine is always in my back pocket and naked, no case.

I've always wondered/wanted to see exactly what people were doing with theirs or just how tight their clothes had to be to make that happen :D

32 isn't enough. 64 is the real base model. Apple is doing customers a favor by not having a 32. Too many would pick it and run out of storage. With this tier people will naturally select 64. These days 32 is waaaay too small
They'd be doing customers a favour by starting at 64 instead of starting at 16 and making people pay a lot more for a usable phone or iPad. Storage is dirt cheap now, so it would not affect Apple at all, by going from 16 to 64 all they're doing is gouging more money out customers.

I'm an avid apple fan and do nothing but tout the products. Friends think I'm an employee. I buy the newest phone ever yeAr.

I too had that nagging feeling about my 6+ possibly breaking after the bend gate videos last year. I've been very conscious about it all year. After about a month I thought I saw a little bend, nothing too bad. But i spent some time on a playground with my Kids and it bent. It was fine for several months with the minor bend. Then the glass slightly separated from the body. It was enough to show people. Then 2 weeks ago after showing that the touch screen started Cting up. Apple did swap it out, free, no Apple care incident.

So I'm glad it's fixed and glad to see the test videos so I know I don't have to be super caution. Thanks!

Not sure why this has gotten a bad rap. I'm glad there are bend tests out there for these phones. This video just proves how much studier the new iPhone is. It's practically free advertising for Apple.
Yeah, that new iPhone's been hitting the books alright.....

Seriously, those results are pretty impressive..... even though I still wouldn't put it in my back pocket. Why make life easy for pickpockets..... :D

I don't get these videos. With enough force an object will bend or break.

I broke my pencil. I bent a metal pipe. I snapped a tree branch. I think I proved my theory. Didn't need to post a video about it.

The original 6 and Plus remained intact functional after higher pressure was applied, far better then competing phones, which would also bend, but additionally cracked or bricked.

Now that the iPhone is even stronger, I wonder how the competition stacks up.

(Funny how a phrase like "people began to notice bending in their pockets" can refer to somewhere between 1 and 2 people... and then a year went by and there was no great rash of such complaints. Almost as though the device never WAS particularly weak compared to everything else...)

Exactly. After the first two weeks it was forgotten about bc the amount of pressure was more than what the phone ever experienced in most uses

Why do you suppose Apple upgraded their aluminium and made it thicker if there was no problem.

Funny that after apple admitted there were no bendgate issues with the iphone 6/6plus they made it thicker and with better materials. Why did they made it like that if there were no issues whatsoever? answer is YES they were bending and they had to do something to stop it. Just people here defending apple to no end attacked everybody that claimed their iphone bent and that they were doing something wrong with it.

I've owned and still own every iphone. My iphone 6 is bent, the rest aren't... its an issue. I checked 4 of my friends phones and 2 out of 4 were bent. it's a fact that it happens so i'm perplexed at the naivety of your comments.
Must have clumsy friends.

Because of these videos, not because of a few careless users. Remember how Samsung phones turned out to be even bendier yet nobody actually gave a crap, or produced any glum-faced owners and their bent Galaxies? Apple made the phone tougher for this day and this day only.

But those who just only download highly common apps, take a few photos occatianlly, and make text message as well as phone call, 16GB is way enough for them to do such simple tasks. Even email receiving and composing is enough.

No buddy this has been in the work for years, you don't start manufacturing 200M phones with a brand new metal you never used before just because poopy head had a popular video. That would be pure insanity.

Correlation is not Causation. Got that.

Considering they sold 50% more phones last year than before it is safe to say that NOBODY CARED, especially Apple.

The fact that they started to use AL 7000 in the watch THIS YEAR (but presented last year) and thus gained experience with the material, well that undoubtably had an impact in Apple using it, not Mr. Bender guy getting his jollies on Youtube.

Funny how they announced and produced a watch with this tougher material, the same used here, BEFORE this so called bendgate... Hmmm... Yeah, not the same narrative then...

So, not it is not "funny". There is no link except incidental.

IT wasn't flimsy, so you were set up last year too. Go build a straw men somewhere else.

Like it or not, this 6 wasn't a durable phone. There's no two ways about it.

It had a serious design flaw. I know the whole bendgate thing was blown out of proportion, but that doesn't mean it wasn't durable.

By the looks of it the 6S is much, much stronger.

I'm glad I waited.

I'm embarrassed to be an Apple user, the amount of people sticking up for Apple is embarrassing. Get this straight people, Apple would Not have used a better Aluminium AND thicker if there WASN't a problem with bending. Apple does NOT spend extra money if it doesn't have to.

The reason you have a good phone today is because some people don't like being ripped off and will speak up.

The purpose of this video is to simply show possible minimum force to bend an iPhone, and to prove if it is easy to be bent.
We do not know, however, how much force the video maker put on that test iPhone.

Whether a new iPhone bend or not, we should always try not putting it at places easily receiving too much force. A small bag or jacket pocket is a better place than back pocket of tight jeans.

Regardless of what they earn from the clicks (and hey, they've invested time and the price of a new iPhone in this, so best of luck to them!) the videos do serve a useful purpose. They show clearly that Apple has strengthened the 6S phones significantly over the previous models. I think that's useful to know.

Not really, at least in this case. This is someone just trying to bend a phone like nobody would ever normally try to bend it. I mean might as well see if you could shuffle iPhones like a deck of cards. There's no real test other than "my strength." How is that quantitative at all?

Compare that to Consumer Reports. Those guys took the new iPhones and compared them against similar models from other makers and used equipment that could rate how much pressure was being applied on the phone. Then by golly the iPhones stood up pretty well.

It's pretty much clickbait. People who hate Apple want to see them bend, which proves that if you try to bend a piece of metal hard enough at some point it will. The blogs and articles without much actual reporting in them did the same, just basically acting like the character on SNL who will tell you what he thinks some guy told him at this place.

Don't put your phone in your back pocket. Don't sit on your phone. Don't TRY to bend your phone. Also don't drop it and don't do a scratch test. Live by those rules and your phone won't bend or break.
