I wish people would stop saying "DSLR quality" when talking about tiny camera lenses and sensors. Phone cameras are amazing, don't get me wrong -- but a big DSLR sensor and optics are just a whole different animal. They're just not comparable.

nope, I hope for 2gigs ram, BUT 4inch form factor is a must for me, i need phone, not big brick that is not serviceable with one hand and that is somehow "slippery" and prone to fall from my hand.....

And I need a phone that's atleast 5inches so I can actually do work on it, not to mention being able to actually see what's on the screen. I also like to play games and watch movies on my mobile device. That was an absolute nightmare on my 5S and an absolute dream on my 6+. Everybody has different needs.

Agreed. This is as silly as claiming iPad as a PC replacement. Just silly hype machine at work but if you're tech literate you know it's FUD.

no no, it's only FUD when it's about google / androoid / windows.

for Apple it's called the Reality distortion field :p

they supplant your reality with their own :p

So... what you're saying is that they could run a ton of apps, but the Joann app required so many resources, you virtually had to clear the phone of anything it was keeping track of to run it?

Sure, throwing more RAM at a device would help that, but so would writing an app that wasn't an obnoxious hog. Doubling or quadrupling your RAM isn't going to inoculate you against poorly behaving apps -- it only means it takes a few more to cause you problems. Part of being a good software developer is understanding the resource constraints you're under and not abusing them.

How are you so sure it was the app itself?

Well Steve did say we were all holding the iPhone wrong, so the solution to your problem is to get bigger hands. Duh. (kidding)

Another reason why, I always buy the mid cycle iPhones e.g iPhone 4s, 5s. This is because the 'S' models tend to have really good internals.

Yeah, the 's' model often feels like the model the non-'s' should've been, especially with the addition of the 2GB RAM, something that the 6 and 6 Plus probably could have gotten.

No. Their whole phone was slow and laggy until they cleared everything. People who keep their app tray without extra apps always have a faster phone. This is true with my mom's ipad, my mom's iphone 4s, my iphone 4, and my step dad's iphone 4s. The more apps you have in there the slower your phone is.

All this talk, they should get rid of 16GB base and start at 32GB on the 6s too!

DSLR quality camera... lol. Yeah right.

Absolutely. I use my phone for shooting my son, but it's not stopping motion at ISO 6400 or getting printed 12x18 to hang on a wall. Also would love to see how a tiny ass phone sensor is going to limit DoF for subject isolation.

It's kinda sad that I have an 6+ and I'm already looking forward to upgrading to 6s+, since UI graphics performance is horrible and also RAM can not hold more than 2 apps. :/

iOS 8.1.0 runs perfectly smooth on my iPhone 5s, rarely do I get dropped frames on the OS animations and scrolling is quite smooth. Also, guess how many apps I have stored in RAM right now. Hint: It's more than 2.

Either your phone is defective or your perception of it is.

yep, thats why i believe they will introduce 6s mini, so the line up will be 4, 4.7 and 5.5 and everyone will be ok - and, please apple, stop killing mini models with lower/one year old specs...

I'm happy with the performance of my IP6+. The battery life is phenomenal and it does everything I want it too.

Sure 2GB would have been welcome, but for the most part, I'm content with my IP6+

I dont see why. My Note4 have 3GB and without opening anything, 2.40 out of 3GB is already in use. Never got an out of memory error on an iphone! I'm not against, just saying that I didn't had an issue on my older iPhone.

And... you are lying. I have note 4 as well... 960 MB in use with no apps open.

Also... Android doesn't give such warnings... Android manages RAM pretty efficiently, just like IOS does.

DSLR Quality??

It's hard to take anything you write seriously when you say the next iPhone will have a "DSLR quality camera." That is so silly. You lose a lot of credibility when you say things like that.

Steve Jobs actually never said that.

not surprised if it will be better than low-end DSLRs like Canon 1000s

It depends on the lens attached to even a low end Canon DSLR. I've got a few Canon's including a 2009 EOS 1000D with a 10MP sensor. Some of my lenses cost triple the price of the camera body and this is the element that ensures a significant increase in the quality of a picture. You can't really compare a smartphone with a DSLR for this reason alone.

I truthfully hope they add another colour like they did with last year's S models. That gold color definitely threw me off. Lol what you guys think would be next? Bronze? Gold Silver Bronze and Space Grey lol actually sounds realistic tbh

iPhone 6s Rumored to Include 2GB of Faster RAM and 'Force Touch' Technology

Of course it will have 2GB RAM. That's what the 6 should have had.

if you havent yet noticed, this is their strategy to sell the same phone again. some people will upgrade always. good for business to sell it twice ;)

dslr cam quality :p i want it and sell my dslr!! (not)

In android a free memory is a wasted memory =]
