not necessarily. ios 9 might be optimized to record 4K.It has to have 2GB for it to record 4K video smoothly...
Personally, I think it will have 2GB but that's an assumption based on the leaks which have been accurate.Personally i think it will have 2GB RAM

To say how much it has at this point is nothing more than speculation.
all good things...Yes i agree, no accurate answer till someone tears down a test unit.
Why cant someone sneak one out of the china factory and sell it to ifixit. Put us all out of our misery!!!
There is no extra functionality such as 3D touch for the iPad Mini 4.
On the website, it just says A8 chip. This chip isn't modified unless said so. 99% sure Mini 4 will have 1GB of RAM.
You think Apple knows or cares about the four people on Macrumors that wax on forever about ram? Over 70 million people don't seem all that concerned about it. If it bothers you that much don't order till one gets torn down and it's confirmed one way or other. Geez what's another couple weeks? You have a phone right now. Take your mind off your phone come up with solution for refugees from in Europe.I worry some because I figure that if it has 2GB of ram, they'd have mentioned it.
Since A8X uses 2 gb of Ram A9 should be use 2 Gb or ramWhere does it say the A9 has a gig of RAM? Nowhere. Wait until the benchmarks are in.
A8/A8X are very similar in terms of performance, only massive difference between them is 1GB and 2GB.If the Mini 4 has 1GB of ram, then how come the Mini 3 with 1GB of ram, Mini 2, Mini, iPad 4, iPad 3 don't have the multitasking features found on the Mini 4. The Mini 4 as stated by Phill is exactly the same as the Air 2 with 2GB if RAM, 1.4Ghz Tri-core processor

...A8 chip mate, not A8X.mini 4 uses A8X, so it uses 2 gb of ram
Another +2 to the early leaks. Gone are the days when Apple surprised us....when Apple was an innovator, not imitator. lol. This is just to help everyone stop arguing lol but I went ahead and decided to ask Apple chat for the answer and this is what they told me. You can go ahead and ask the specialist right now and it's the same thing. I even called and they game me the same answer. Hope everyone is happy now
Forgive me if I take that with just a small bit of salt. It's probably true, but Apple Support isn't the most reliable source of info.Just asked apple chat.
New Apple TV confirmed with 2gb ram as well. I honestly can't imagine the new iPhone with 1gb..

And maybe the Mini 3, Mini 2 etc ARE capable of doing multitasking, but Apple locked them out from doing so.
You have to also realise people on stage can make mistakes too. You should trust the official website with the actual stats and specs listed, then from a mouth. The site says A8 chip, not A8X chip. Unless iPhone 6/6+ are sneakily also getting the 2GB upgrade in newer models, Mini 4 will get 1GB of RAM.
And where exactly did you get this info that Apple TV has 2GB of RAM? Source? And because that has an A8 despite the TV having 2GB RAM, I can't imagine the Mini 4 still having 1GB of RAM
^ Awesome! I don't see how it could have a 90% boost in graphics performance without additional RAM.
It's in one of the developer docsAnd where exactly did you get this info that Apple TV has 2GB of RAM? Source?
