iPhone 6s to only have 1GB of RAM?!!!

Personally i think it will have 2GB RAM

Heres why i think so

"improving overall CPU performance by up to 70 per cent compared to the previous generation. And boosting graphics performance by up to a staggering 90 per cent compared to the previous generation"

If the 6s+ can improve CPU by 70% and Graphics by 90% surely this would need to be done by the help of extra RAM? Right?
 
Adobe's blog post after the keynote stated the iPad Pro has 4GB of RAM. I know ones an iPhone and the other is an iPad, but I think its safe to say 2GB of RAM for iPhone 6S & 6S Plus.

Yes i agree, no accurate answer till someone tears down a test unit.

Why cant someone sneak one out of the china factory and sell it to ifixit. Put us all out of our misery!!!

If the Mini 4 has 1GB of ram, then how come the Mini 3 with 1GB of ram, Mini 2, Mini, iPad 4, iPad 3 don't have the multitasking features found on the Mini 4. The Mini 4 as stated by Phill is exactly the same as the Air 2 with 2GB if RAM, 1.4Ghz Tri-core processor

You think Apple knows or cares about the four people on Macrumors that wax on forever about ram? Over 70 million people don't seem all that concerned about it. If it bothers you that much don't order till one gets torn down and it's confirmed one way or other. Geez what's another couple weeks? You have a phone right now. Take your mind off your phone come up with solution for refugees from in Europe.

A8/A8X are very similar in terms of performance, only massive difference between them is 1GB and 2GB.

And maybe the Mini 3, Mini 2 etc ARE capable of doing multitasking, but Apple locked them out from doing so.

You have to also realise people on stage can make mistakes too. You should trust the official website with the actual stats and specs listed, then from a mouth. The site says A8 chip, not A8X chip. Unless iPhone 6/6+ are sneakily also getting the 2GB upgrade in newer models, Mini 4 will get 1GB of RAM.

mini 4 uses A8X, so it uses 2 gb of ram

This is just to help everyone stop arguing lol but I went ahead and decided to ask Apple chat for the answer and this is what they told me. You can go ahead and ask the specialist right now and it's the same thing. I even called and they game me the same answer. Hope everyone is happy now

Another +2 to the early leaks. Gone are the days when Apple surprised us....when Apple was an innovator, not imitator. lol.

No, the A8 and A8X are not similar in performance at all. The A7 and A8 are similar in performance; the A8X is in a different league

Don't make strong presumptions about the RAM. You cannot say for sure yet. You may end up being right, but we don't know yet and won't know until there are tear downs.

People need to chill out, everyone is freaking out on this site - just be patient, let's wait to see what the hardware actually is, and then criticize it if need be.
