Carrier iPhone 7/7+ AT&T Pre-Order Thread

Here is my best guess at the logistics here.

Anyone assigned a 9/16 phone that is already one of the pallets already in the US that was shipped over the past few days to week ago. They can guarantee 9/16 since the phones are local already.

Those of us on the 23/30th timeframes that are already preparing for shipping are coming from China in the coming days. They obviously cannot guarantee 9/16 delivery (customs, act of god etc) but they COULD get here launch day very likely; that is what they shoot for as per previous years

I just dont think they want to guarantee dates on the ones from China, which is why some of ours are already preparing for shipping but 9/23 to 9/30 dates

Or the just had EXTREMELY conservative dates even for the 9/23 orders

I can't say Ive seen may black Pluses with a 9/16 date reported.

well i have update now 2 of my iphone got cancelled and 1 got reorder byitself i had to reorder one manually.
the dates are follows ( i ordered all on 1:45am cst) but got 2 got cancel and they ordered at different time

No. you should look at a bill break down. Its prob 30/month for phone and 60/month for plan & fees. So your new phone will be replacing the $30 part not adding to it.... unless you wanna rock two phones. I'm att too. I'm a little concerned about the 30month payment plan. But Ill deal with it in 2 years when the 8 is out.
 
I went with the 7+ (not sure if that was a mistake!) and in silver (toss up between black). I went for the 30 months plan. Almost put a down payment but at 0% no reason to pay early IMO. Can always pay early.

I paid the full amount for both phones, less $30 for each. This $1 per phone is so dumb. But that's AT&T - they all have their quirks. When 1 or 2 years is up, I'll deal with whatever is left over.
 
When do we usually start seeing tracking numbers? I can't remember from the years past.
 
Got my ATT address fixed from a PO Box to my home. I can order and get a Nov delivery. But if I want to get the trade in from Apple (to apply to my billing) do I have to pick it up from a store? Or even that late, will I be able to sell it for $250 or better? (6 Plus, gold, 64gb, perfect condition).

I asked a representative the same question yesterday over the phone. According to them, the bill will add your AT&T Next payment on top of your bill.

So, for example, my grandfathered unlimited data plan is 79$/month and will be going up to 124$/month.

I'm quite unhappy about this.

The grandfathered plan had the iPhone subsidy built into it (meaning there was no line item for the iPhone subsidy in the bill), I'm now out of contract and that subsidy should no longer be present because the phone is paid off.

Store for trade-in. Not sure but it looks like $$$ less than when I did it 2 years ago. Typical

Website is totally messed up.

Now when you go to pre-order, it shows 32GB "out of stock" with button grayed out. And seemingly no way to order any other capacity (I want 128, but will take 256).

Have found no way of getting the ATT Next prices without going COMPLETELY through the upgrade process and paying upgrade fee (I have an Oct 2 upgrade date) and tax. But presume it is retail/20 (for 1yr Next).

Website also timing-out often.

I will have to walk down to the ATT store to find out what's what.

No this is wrong. You're grandfathered plan will not go down in price b/c AT&T does not want anyone on the grandfathered plan so what used to be the built-in subsidized phone part of your bill is just now part of the cost of the service plan. So the cost of any phone on the Next plan will go on top of that.
 
First time posting here. I ordered the iphone 7+ Jet black 128gb at 23:50 PDT. Got confirmation immediately... Then I wake up this morning saying that Action is required through ATT Premiere. I call them and 2 hours later, they are saying my order has to be cancelled due to a system error and blah blah blah. Back to the line I go. Anyone else with premiere have this issue?

Oh my b. I went into store and separately spoke with att on phone asking if I could keep my 4gig plan for 40. They said I could keep that plan at that rate with my new 7. Maybe it doesn't work that way with unlimited plans idk.

This is for an iPhone 7, 128GB, Matte Black. Ordered through the AT&T app. This had to have been the smoothest pre-order I've done with AT&T in the last 6-7 years. Now I'll just keep my fingers crossed that the shipment and delivery dates hold up. Otherwise, the smooth front end will be worthless.

Bruhhh..You ordered 4 hours after I did for the same phone and same process, and got a launch day ETA?! I hope mine gets pushed up lol

Did everyone else who has a preparing for shipment status also have their card charged?

My Apple Pay debit is already charged
