I just placed my pre order now but unfortunately i need to change shipping address. I normally have my work address as my shipping address but I just figured we are moving to a new location around the same time as the expected delivery. :-(

Any suggestions on what I should do?

Guess if I wanted mine on release day I should have gotten something other than black :)

Maybe go into your nearest ATT store and see if they can update the shipping address in their system. Gotta figure the website might be a little slow and they might have a better way of updating an order. Just a suggestion.

This was my post in another thread at 3:30 or so (although I actually got in at 3:04 or so):

FINALLY!! My God, that was painful. But, 7+ black, 256gb. Delivers between 9/27 and 9/29. <grumble>

I think that part of the problem was that AT&T was going to allow me to change the shipping address, but every time I did and tried to place my order they gave me an error. When I finally got through on Apple, after several timeouts, it told me that it had to ship to my billing address, and I couldn't change it. So I thought "whatever" and hit continue, and FINALLY went through to the Thank You, order has been placed screen.

Why give the option, AT&T, if you don't allow shipping to any other address!?

By the way, watch order went through without a hitch, delivery 9/16. Glad I did that separately.

My mom is the billing address on our AT&T account and I had no problem changing the shipping address.

Thanks SundaeWarship! I will try to do that!

Does anyone know if you can just walk into any ATT store and pre order the phone there? Or does it have to be online?

Last year walked into an AT&T store the afternoon that pre-orders started and ordered a 6s and 6s+. Had the 6s shipped to the store for launch day, the 6s+ was shipped to the store about a week later.

Would be a monumental mistake to try and change from TMobile to ATT during the iPhone pre-order process in regards to billing credits, $650 per line and such?

I have a pre-order with TMobile but I got a new job and I get 25% off at ATT and makes much more sense.

Just want the phone and want to switch too and trying to time it right if that makes sense.

What carrier do you have and where do you live? I have AT&T and my delivery estimate is September 26th - October 3rd but it's still processing.

For those of us without 9/16 dates. Pretty confident most of us will get it on Friday. Just went back and read the thread from the 6/6+ launch and the majority of us had delivery dates the week later or well into October. So, with my 9/23-30, I am confident I will have my new 7+ on Friday. Now to survive another week with my backup 5.

Ordered through AT&T. Experience was bizarre. I went through the ordering process but it failed during checkout. Had to log in and the order process UI was completely different from the first time as if I was on a different website. Bizarre...

I am a little worried that mine says in progress while must of you say preparing to ship. I did get a confirmation and a charge on my credit card so maybe all is good.

[doublepost=1473448073][/doublepost]I ordered through AT&T.

I asked a representative the same question yesterday over the phone. According to them, the bill will add your AT&T Next payment on top of your bill.

So, for example, my grandfathered unlimited data plan is 79$/month and will be going up to 124$/month.

I'm quite unhappy about this.

The grandfathered plan had the iPhone subsidy built into it (meaning there was no line item for the iPhone subsidy in the bill), I'm now out of contract and that subsidy should no longer be present because the phone is paid off.

You can't expect them to make it easy and convenient for you to keep your grandfathered plan forever. They want people to move away from them. This is their way of getting you to do just that. If you want to take advantage of Next you're going to pay for it...

I'll be really surprised if 4 minutes and 50 seconds was too late to receive mine on launch day even if some were able to order a few minutes early.

So in the past, do they actually change the delivery date on your order, or you just get a tracking number that says it will be delivered sooner?

No this is wrong. You're grandfathered plan will not go down in price b/c AT&T does not want anyone on the grandfathered plan so what used to be the built-in subsidized phone part of your bill is just now part of the cost of the service plan. So the cost of any phone on the Next plan will go on top of that.
I thought once you made any changes to your plan through AT&T , i.e. Adding Next or upgrading phone, that you lost your grandfathered plan???

Had a lot of difficulty ordering last night. Kept getting various cryptic errors. Took me 40 minutes, starting right at 2 AM central time.

When I got to payment it kept telling me "there is something wrong with your card, please try later". I kept trying with no luck. Switched cards thinking it was actually a problem with the Visa card. Used my AMEX and it finally worked after two attempts. Now I have 5 pending charges for $67 and 3 for $1 on the two cards combined... it'll be interesting to see how this turns out.

So in the past, do they actually change the delivery date on your order, or you just get a tracking number that says it will be delivered sooner?

If they are anything like any other online retailer than the original ship date will remain there until you get an updated one. I figure once the tracking numbers go out you'll get an updated delivery date.
