Been lurking on the site for months and on this thread all day, just wanted to add mine...I was on AT&T's site the second it came up (it actually let people in at 3:00 instead of 3:01) and placed my order for the 128 GB Jet Black iPhone 7+, estimated 10/14-10/16. I'm hoping because everyone who ordered this exact one has the exact same dates we'll get a miracle package next Friday :)

Actually it let people in even earlier than that. My two phones have 2:49 EST and 2:52 EST order times. And I still got Oct 13-20 for the Jet Black 7 128gb (the 2:52 order)

Oh wow...mine had a black countdown screen until the pre-order started, but it didn't actually let me in until 3:00.
 
Did anyone who ordered through Apple have a date of September 26th to October 4th? I ordered the Jet Black 7 Plus but it says 1-2 weeks as a shipping date?

I ordered a 256GB Plus Black through Apple at 3:04 EDT with in store pickup next Friday. I wanted Jet Black but decided against it since it wasn't available on launch day. When I got into work this morning, I second guessed my Black preorder so I preordered a Jet Black 256GB Plus with shipment dates between 9/29 and 10/3. I figure I'll check out both next Friday when I pick up my Black 7+ and figure out which I'd rather keep.

Yes, I had that too. I started on that screen about 55 minutes before launch, so I think they took people kinda in order. When there was about 12 minutes left, it told me to confirm I wanted to be let in and it let me in. I was happy - UNTIL I saw the JB date, LOL
 
iPhone 7 Plus Matte Black 128GB. I haven't seen any charges on my card yet but like previous years, it appeared before launch and got my phone on release day. I was able to get in before midnight..

I'm wondering if they changed the order time to match the time people started queueing for pre-order. It wouldn't let me in until 3:00, but I was on splash screen a few minutes prior. My order was 3:04, but changed to 2:56.

Well, I definitely ordered before 3 & pretty close to the time they have listed - as I was completely done with ATT and then started refreshing the Apple Store App for my cases (and ended up getting my Jet Black for launch day there). My confirmation emails came at 2:51 and 2:55.

Hahaha, I thought I was getting VIP getting in a minute early! So even that far ahead it had the 10/14-10/21 dates?
 
It did! I was not happy! Though that order is 'preparing for shipment' so who knows!

Right, I'll cross my fingers for you! Mine is preparing for shipment too. This thread has given me hope because I've never pre-ordered before, always bought a few months after they came out.

Then I got emails for both this afternoon: "Unfortunately, our systems were unable to process your order. Please give us a call at 866.267.4510 from 7 a.m. to 1 a.m. ET, to resubmit your order. " Called and the rep stated that I would have to cancel the orders and submit new orders online. o_O I then checked the order status via the link in the initial email order confirmations I had received -- and that status says "In Progress" for both of them. I think I will wait and see....

I just received this message in a text from ATT. I called the number and they couldn't help me because computers were updating because all the iPhone orders. So i called customer service and they said i was fine.

Ordered 3 iPhone 7's as soon as possible this am. 2 Black 128's and 1 Silver 128. Easy time of it. Completed all three before 2:15am CDT.

Received e-commerce confirms within minutes. Strangely though the "order update messages" came to me in reverse order. The first one 2 1/2 hours later, the 2nd 5 hours later and the last one (actually the first one processed at 2:04) didnt update until almost 11:30 am. Kind of strange.

Same thing here! Im GTG on my first order for my misses, but I paid off my current device (IP6S+) in order to upgrade and got the same message for that phone. Weird. Im waiting on the line w/ ATT to see what that means. I hope it is a glitch as well.
 
My order status for my 256GB 7+ Jet Black is now "Backordered" - so much for a late September shipping date!

Well that was quick - it just changed to "Preparing for Shipment" with an estimated ship date between 9/30 and 10/7. 256GB 7+ Jet Black ordered at 7:15 AM EDT
 
I'm just confused as to why people with ship dates in October are getting the same status of "Preparing to Ship" as the people with a ship date of launch day. When I preordered my 6 Plus through AT&T I was given a date in early October but received it on launch day. Anyone know just how far out the ship dates go for people who are now in "Preparing to Ship"?

Doesn't mean anything. AT&T systems always screw information up and consequently provide incorrect information to us.

My order is "In progress"

On the AT&T website, in my account -> orders I have this:
Order date: 09/09/2016 at 2:49:03 a.m. ET


I have a receipt in my e-mail from ATT which states this:
Your order was placed: 3:49 a.m. ET September 9, 2016

I did finalize my order at 3:49 because ATT's website was trash as usual.

This same thing happened to me for the 6 Plus. When I finally got a delivery time, it said 2 weeks past launch day. But I wound up getting the phone on launch day anyway.

I was all set to pre-order this morning, but they won't let me because I'm not currently on an AT&T contract - just AT&T prepay. Sucks, sucks, sucks.

If someone could enlighten me here, isn't this a credit thing? I mean, I pay the monthly fee, Apple has my credit info on file, I have excellent credit, why can't I pre-order on the upgrade program? It won't even let me with the non-upgrade plan.

If I go to the Apple Store, would the iPhone Upgrade Plan work then?

I'm very surprised. I found out about the AT&T free iPhone 7 with iPhone 6 trade in at about 2:30 this afternoon (eastern) and hopped on AT&T's website and placed an order for a black 32gb 7. It is already preparing to ship. Apple's website doesn't have it being delivered until September 26.

Did I just get lucky or does ATT have extra stock of the 32gb black 7?
