So in the past, do they actually change the delivery date on your order, or you just get a tracking number that says it will be delivered sooner?

You just end up getting a shipped notification. Some have even reported the last few years to never receiving any notification at all and the device just showing up on launch day or the day before.

Had a lot of difficulty ordering last night. Kept getting various cryptic errors. Took me 40 minutes, starting right at 2 AM central time.

When I got to payment it kept telling me "there is something wrong with your card, please try later". I kept trying with no luck. Switched cards thinking it was actually a problem with the Visa card. Used my AMEX and it finally worked after two attempts. Now I have 5 pending charges for $67 and 3 for $1 on the two cards combined... it'll be interesting to see how this turns out.

Looks like you will be getting 5 new phones!!!

For those of us without 9/16 dates. Pretty confident most of us will get it on Friday. Just went back and read the thread from the 6/6+ launch and the majority of us had delivery dates the week later or well into October. So, with my 9/23-30, I am confident I will have my new 7+ on Friday. Now to survive another week with my backup 5.

It was showing October 10th through the 24th earlier in the day for expected delivery now it doesn't show an expected delivery, this is for a new line I am porting in from T-Mobile, anything like that happening to anybody?

My wife got her order (7) in before 7AM EST, I got my order (7+) in around 7:30AM EST.

I thought once you made any changes to your plan through AT&T , i.e. Adding Next or upgrading phone, that you lost your grandfathered plan???

Next and phone upgrades aren't part of the plan, so you aren't changing your plan, you are just buying a phone. If you want to change number of minutes, texts or want to tether then you are forced out of the grandfathered plan.

Ordered a 7+ and a 7 this morning on AT&T website. Got email confirmations for both and credit card was charged for the tax on both. Then I got emails for both this afternoon: "Unfortunately, our systems were unable to process your order. Please give us a call at 866.267.4510 from 7 a.m. to 1 a.m. ET, to resubmit your order. " Called and the rep stated that I would have to cancel the orders and submit new orders online. I then checked the order status via the link in the initial email order confirmations I had received -- and that status says "In Progress" for both of them. I think I will wait and see....

It is probably just that the computer clocks on the server(s) receiving order information and/or creating the documents are out of sync with each other by a matter of minutes.

The first confirmation email I received at 03:17am ET says my order was captured at 03:06AM ET, but checking my order status on ATT.com displays order time of 03:03AM ET. I know that second time is generously earlier than the actual time I completed my order.

I ordered the Matte Black 128GB iPhone 7 Plus & AT&T Mobile Protection. I took my time during order process to make sure there were no mistakes or tricks to get me off my grandfathered plan. My ship date is btwn 09/23-09/30. I'll let you y'all know if that changes.

Well, let's see what happens with this. Ordered my husband's 128 7 in Black at 1:51a Central time. Got Sept 16th shipping on that one. Ordered my 128 7 in Jet Black at 1:55a Central and got Oct 13-20th shipping. Refreshed Apple Store App - got in and saw 128 7 in Jet Black with Sept 16th date - so I ordered that as a paid in full phone on my line. So, technically, I have two phones ordered on my line - one with Next every Year through ATT and one paid in full through Apple. Apple told me I could order it even though I had a $99.00 balance on my Next account (which is from the down payment I put on my Next every year plan) so I'm hoping one doesn't get cancelled on me.

If my Apple one goes prepared for shipping and my ATT still shows that date, I'll just cancel my ATT pre-order and open a spot in the queue.

Apple went prepared for shipping. I'm still able to cancel the ATT one, so assuming Apple goes fully shipped by tomorrow AM, I'll cancel the ATT

Ordered through the AT&T App, originally got in at 1:51CST, but the expected ship date was Sep.23 - 30th, I tried to change colors and the app crashed. Finally after patience of switching between the app and the browser I got mine ordered at 2:19 CST, still with the same ship date.

What a wave of emotions and dealings with customer service today.

• Woke up at 2am Texas time to call TMobile and pre-order
• System was overcrowded, couldn't process order
• Woke up at 6am and placed order online
• Realized TMobile didn't sell me my appropriate Jump on Demand program
• Cancelled order with TMobile
• Signed up with a FAN account for ATT through my job as I am over TMobile in the short 5 months I have been with them
• Easily walked through the transition process of placing an order, verifying ATT will pay off my current installment at TMobile, and the free iPhone 7 promotion as well
• Wife is getting a new iPhone 7 rose gold for her birthday as a surprise on 9/16
• My 7+ black is coming between October 7-14th according to my order status

I should have never left ATT in the first place.

Att not so smooth for me. Ordered 128 7+ just after launch. Went through good. Then 7 128 black. A couple issues with website but finally went through. This morning I get a text saying my order will be canceled and to call. Turns out two black orders were processed so one was canceled. Ok. Then another text later said my card did not process and to call. I did. After several disconnections the lady tells me their systems are down for an update to try again in an hour. Grrr. I don't see why the card didn't process the two orders after did but not the first one? Then the rep tried to say it was my problem with my card. No. It was your system obviously. Whatever. One week until the phones arrive. Assuming I get the first order settled.

2 minutes later I have mine in the cart with the 1-2 week lead time. By the time im done checking out, Im back ordered until Oct. So I immediately go over to AT&T open up a new line of service and get a ship date of 9/23. I currently have a ZTE phone and its just not cutting it.

have you guys heard of apple shipping earlier? Like if you are quoted for 2-3 weeks they sometimes can bump you up?

Last year my order was 2-3 weeks out after launch and I got it the Monday after launch. So had to wait 3 days.

SOOOO i was able to make another order through an upgrade, even though my original order is still pending with actions required that no ATT rep can seem to figure out. I got charged tax on the next 3 times and now have a ship date of Nov 11-18.... Gotta love ATT

Been lurking on the site for months and on this thread all day, just wanted to add mine...I was on AT&T's site the second it came up (it actually let people in at 3:00 instead of 3:01) and placed my order for the 128 GB Jet Black iPhone 7+, estimated 10/14-10/16. I'm hoping because everyone who ordered this exact one has the exact same dates we'll get a miracle package next Friday
