I ordered this morning through the Apple upgrade program my iPhone 7 Rose Gold 128g which I will happily pick up next Friday at 1245. Wasn't going to, but I figured I've had every iphone except the very first one, why stop now. Hehe!

I'm very surprised. I found out about the AT&T free iPhone 7 with iPhone 6 trade in at about 2:30 this afternoon (eastern) and hopped on AT&T's website and placed an order for a black 32gb 7. It is already preparing to ship. Apple's website doesn't have it being delivered until September 26.

Did I just get lucky or does ATT have extra stock of the 32gb black 7?

how did you get the deal?? can you provide the link please?

My iPhone 7 Plus 128gb in black is now preparing for shipment! Deliver date is the 16th and I'm in the Los Angeles area.

Order date: 09/09/2016 at 3:21:04 a.m. ET

Order status:
In progress
We're preparing your order, and we'll let you know once it's ready.

Estimated ship dates:
September 23, 2016 - September 30, 2016

I also received a text saying that if I didn't call by 9/16, my order was cancelled. I called and the the CS rep said my order is still in progress.

I see an authorization on my credit card for the amount so hopefully, all is still well. Would love if the phone arrives on launch day. My 6 is mysteriously trying to kick the bucket this week.

I got the same text called twice every time their computers are being updated so they can't tell me what the problem is

I ordered my 7 plus in black at 3:03 am EST according to the email from AT&T and my shipping window is 9/23-9/30
Same here. Ordered at 2:58am eastern, Matte Black iPhone 7plus 256, shipping September 23-29. I find it strange that Apple gives you a delivery date but AT&T gives you a one week shipping window. Bizarre.

Well, I definitely ordered before 3 & pretty close to the time they have listed - as I was completely done with ATT and then started refreshing the Apple Store App for my cases (and ended up getting my Jet Black for launch day there). My confirmation emails came at 2:51 and 2:55.
Does it say your Jet Black phone will be delivered on the 16th? I went through the Apple app, and ordered as fast as I could and have "1-2 weeks" as the ship date.

Not for the one I'm talking about up there. Thats my ATT order. That has a Oct 13-20 shipping date.

The one I ordered through Apple does have a 9/16 date. It's a 7 (not plus) 128gb Jet Black. I also went through the app.

Oh, I'm guessing it's because it's the normal 7. Welp :p

I ordered the same item 1 minute after you did (via the AT&T app) and received a shipping date of 9-23. Weird how these things are so out of order.

This gives me hope that my 7+ will arrive next Friday, since I ordered at 3AM according to ATT.com.

So no one in the At&t thread is ordering from at&t? Thats funny, but smart.

I ordered from ATT and am getting $650 back of my $869 so my Rose Gold 128g 7+ is only costing me $299 plus my old 6+ which I would never get around to selling anyway so I think it is a WIN WIN for me, smart

Order finally went thru at 3:38 and set to deliver 9-16

I'm just confused as to why people with ship dates in October are getting the same status of "Preparing to Ship" as the people with a ship date of launch day. When I preordered my 6 Plus through AT&T I was given a date in early October but received it on launch day. Anyone know just how far out the ship dates go for people who are now in "Preparing to Ship"?

Thats a really good question. I ordered 7 JB 128g with ship dates of Oct 14-21. It says preparing for shipment. The consensus on the forum is that most people will get their stuff early if the past is any indication. But preparing for shipment a month out? That feels like its too far off.

I asked a representative the same question yesterday over the phone. According to them, the bill will add your AT&T Next payment on top of your bill.

So, for example, my grandfathered unlimited data plan is 79$/month and will be going up to 124$/month.

I'm quite unhappy about this.

The grandfathered plan had the iPhone subsidy built into it (meaning there was no line item for the iPhone subsidy in the bill), I'm now out of contract and that subsidy should no longer be present because the phone is paid off.

You would think so, but essentially, AT&T is going to punish you forever for not switching plans. I work in a mobile department, so I see this quite a bit. I recommend 2 options. Look at your "actual" data usage. A lot of people 'think' they use 'a lot' of data and actual use relatively little in reality. If so, change plans. OR: if you have directTV or U-Verse, it 'might' be cheaper to switch to the new unlimited plan. but you have to have one of those 2 services. If you don't and you do use a lot of data, then you will just have to suffer to pay more. :(

You can do it in a store. But I would suspect that you will be placed in line behind everyone else who has ordered online. I'm interested in knowing if you can line up on the 16th outside an att store and pick one up then and there.
I tried that with the 6 launch 2 years ago after AT&T messed up my ability or pre-order online. I was able to go to an AT&T store and wait. Got there about 4:30 that morning. They supplied us with donuts and coffee. When they opened at 8, then they come out and tell us they only had 10 phones available, so only the first 10 people in line got one. So you could wait in line, but they may not have a lot.

Been lurking on the site for months and on this thread all day, just wanted to add mine...I was on AT&T's site the second it came up (it actually let people in at 3:00 instead of 3:01) and placed my order for the 128 GB Jet Black iPhone 7+, estimated 10/14-10/16. I'm hoping because everyone who ordered this exact one has the exact same dates we'll get a miracle package next Friday :)

I ordered a little over an hour after you and got the "Preparing for Shipment" status this morning (same exact model as the one you ordered). Here's to hoping that we do end up getting our iPhones next Friday! :)

Yeah it's weird, I have a window of 9/23-9/30, and mine is preparing for shipment, but of course I got the same bs from AT&T, just means you'll get it during those dates. I don't get how it wouldn't come next Friday when I Ordered at 3AM EST when pre-orders supposedly opened.

Makes no sense to prepare for shipping 2 weeks in advance or a month or longer in advance, they should come on launch day. Not sure why this happens each year. I did order a 6S+ last year on I think September 30th, got the in process, then in the morning on the 1st it said Shipped, came overnight on the 2nd of October, so there is hope for everyone.

I got in about 1 minute early, and my ship date is 9/23 - 9/30. I got the 7+ matte 128gb. I never pre-ordered from att before, does actually mean it may come on the 16th? And for legal purposes they're stating the 23rd so no one gets pissed off?
