Was 2nd in line at my local store, for the 7 Plus the only 256 GB models they had in stock were gold and silver. I will wait until my pre-order comes on 9/23-9/30. Hopefully the preorder isn't delayed....

Just a reminder, just pray harder!!!
Dear iPhone 7 gods hallowed be your name. Your devices come, your shipping gets done from Texas out to everyone. Give us this day our tracking numbers, and forgive us for our impatience as we forgive your incompetence. And lead us not into depression, but deliver to us our DAMN phones!

Same for me. If I track by tracking number, it says it is on the FedEx vehicle for delivery, but it doesn't show in delivery manager.

Delivery Manager itself is pretty buggy (I have to log out/log in every time I navigate away from the main DM page...annoying) but I have the text alerts setup also and they are usually accurate.

The answer is quite simple. The vagueness is intentional. Under promise, over deliver. As pissed as some of you are, you have no reason to be, because as far as I'm aware, not one of you has been quoted a delivery date that has not been met.

You are all looking at delivery dates no earlier than next Friday, some a week or 2 weeks beyond that, and wondering why its not being delivered today or Monday.

These are the facts of the case.

My thoughts exactly. I am excited and want my phone very badly, but can't be mad unless the "estimated" dates come and go with no phone.

Just like me, the common theme for most here is that they're not getting a phone today. But for the people saying that they're "never pre-ordering again"? Come on. You all know (just like me) you'll do the same thing next year. Maybe not with AT&T, but we'll be doing it.

I actually ended up pre-ordering with ATT because the Apple estimate was October 4th. I was thinking this was my best chance to get it on launch. If ATT said i would get it Sept 16th and they didn't deliver, then I would be upset. I put more of the blame on Apple for not having enough supply of plus models.

Anyone else's phone stuck in memphis? Was supposed to be delivered today but now shows Monday. Called FedEx and they said due to high volume of shipments they can't meet demaind. Ugh!

This is true, buuuuttt, when people are seeing others orders placed after them for the same configuration phones being shipped... they have every right to be pissed.

That, alone, is definitely an injustice. But one that happens all the time in logistics, and you're only aware of it because of the obsessive sharing of data in the forum.

Thought my date would change but still looking towards next friday on AT&T

Agreed.

1. You can't get mad at AT&T for the shortage of phones. They had no idea how many devices they were getting.
2. You knew well in advance of hitting the Place Order button what your projected delivery date would be. If you did not get a 9/16 delivery date when you ordered, you don't have any reason to be mad that your phone is not coming 9/16.
3. Yes, someone who ordered the exact same phone as you, even at a later time, can get the phone before you. It's just a luck of the draw (i.e. maybe they randomly picked up a box of different capacity/size/color phones than what they were working with and a few lucky people got to be in that batch).

I only ordered through AT&T this time because I was able to change the shipping address. With Apple, I could not change the address for shipping. I will order through Apple the next time around, only if I can change the address.

Well my phone shipped this morning but unfortunately that means I won't get it until Monday. No option to pick up at the local hub.

Any chance they're just not updating their order tracking and this afternoon the fedex truck will roll up and make us all happy?
Pretty slim unfortunately, since those with the delivery manager didn't receive any notification...

That said, we have a higher chance of receiving them earlier next week, given there are loads of iPhones coming in over the weekend. Fingers crossed
