Preach it man. I'm hoping for the same... tracking numbers can be pointless.
If I get home from work and see a package I swear I'll be happier than I was when I found out I got accepted into college!! Lol
Just got off of chat with AT&T Chat. The 256GB models (iPhone 7 and Plus) are shipping at later dates due to low inventory and how they prioritized the customer demand (most customers are buying the lowest or mid-range storage tiers, so those were shipped out first to meet the majority of customers' expectations).
Technically, we have nothing to complain about since most pre-orders were listed for delivery next week, anyway. I saw a post saying that AT&T over-promised and under-delivered... Not really. They covered themselves, knowing that Apple had low inventory.

Any chance that ATT completely effed up updating my status and it'll still show up today?
We can only hope. If not we are eternally getting ready for shipping. I wish someone would hack their system, just to let people know how they manage the preorder cue
Maybe it's because you ordered a phone that was mass produced more than the other versions that are in high demand. Just like last year, if you wanted space grey than there was plenty to go around. There seems to be plenty of the iPhone 7 black 128 available.
While I understand your point, where AT&T has failed us once again with this release is their horrific ordering system. I'm fine with no getting my iPhone 7+ JB 128GB today, but seeing others that ordered after me get their is irritating to say the least....FIFO! FIFO! FIFO!
For those who didn't get an anticipated ship date of launch day how can you be upset? You were never promised a launch day phone. I understand there was always a POSSIBILITY of getting it early but if you were never promised a release day phone how can you be upset that your phone isn't here on launch day?
The issue is for those that did get them early they should be behind people who ordered before them. Period.
Sorry...I'm sure this answer was in the past 192 pages...
My two iPhones are out for Fedex delivery right now in Delaware. If Fedex feels comfortable, will they be left without a signature or does AT&T require one?

I'm in that boat. The only thing I was ever upset about was the rep in the AT&T store telling me I would have it on launch day only to find out when I checked my order online that my dates were 10/7-10/14. I was pissed at that point but I got over it.
It's more so people who ordered later the same phone as you and got theirs shipped today while you did not.
You might check the FedEx site to see if you can digitally sign for them online.
Nah. From what I see your expected to get your phone Sept 30th - Oct 7th.. So AT&T didnt lie to you. They are keeping their promise to you
It happens. There really is no "virtual line". Just a giant pool that all preorders seem to be placed in. Is it fair? No, but its the system we are working with. When the order was placed doesn't seem to matter. If you were quoted a date that's the date you got.
This I understand. Being told one thing and getting something else is a reason to get upset. Having dates a few weeks out than getting upset when you're getting what they told you is another.

Shipping lists September 23rd thru the 30th.. no charges.. labels created .. nor emails pretty nothing since I ordered. So I assume I won't see it until September 23rd or later and that's fine was just excited
I am as disappointed as the rest, but when you confirmed your pre-order the dates were already stated. We were right to be optimistic based on past pre-orders, and truly it sucks that their is no clear "order" to how the phones were shipped. But there was no false advertising.

I think people have a right to feel upset, it's something they wanted and they didn't get it. Why is that hard to understand? Whether they should be upset about a material possession is a conversation for a different forum.
Has anyone checked the other carrier threads to see if they managed to get 256GB models shipped for launch day?
Same, I really don't mind not getting it today. But, I ordered a matte black 128gb plus at 3:04am. How are people getting it who ordered after me? It makes no sense at all.

this is what pisses me off. Got up in the middle of the night to order, met with "scheduled maintenance" waited another hour, still ordered before a lot of other people...and no shipping confirmation for me.
