Oh no! I would be so upset. I'd keep trying to up the chain of customer service if I were you. If you can even get it in 1-2 weeks vs 2 months that would be so much better.
I spoke to a Manager and they they would ship me a jb within 10 days

Those people didn't pay any attention. Apple said they wouldn't have any 7+'s available.
Exactly. They must not have checked the internet while they were in line. Some of them were swearing and people looked so defeated as they packed their tents up to leave. I felt bad for them.

Dude, now you're just sounding petty instead of just bitter. This forum represents a very small percentage of iPhone users. Take what you read here with a grain of salt. I would be upset if I were you, too, but the statement that everyone who ordered early got screwed is just not a fact. That's all I was correcting. And I'm a girl, thanks.
Ok, one girl got a phone. My apologies.

I don't want to dash your hopes, but I feel like this is a stock answer they give everyone. Granted everyones phone is "in the warehouse now" so I suppose in that sense they did not lie.
If you can still cancel your order (as H-Rod did last night), your phone most likely hasn't even been manufactured yet. If they already assigned a phone to you that is allegedly waiting for you in their warehouse "preparing to ship" for two weeks, they wouldn't allow you to cancel.

Maybe Apple is having trouble produce the black boxes for the jet black model, since it has been several years since they last made a black box.

I know I just created my account. I've been watching this for the last week and decided to finally join in! I ordered a rose gold 7 plus 32 gb, on the preorder day but it was way later at like 11AM. Anyway, this morning at like 4AM ATT woke me up with a text saying my order has shipped! I checked the tracking and it will be delivered by 8PM Monday. I had chatted with the ATT reps yesterday, one of which told me it was impossible to verify who I was, and another that told me I could talk to a manager and get my order expedited...regardless, I'm just excited to get a new phone!

My iPhone 6 has that stupid touch disease, so as long as thing works and isn't possessed like my current one I'll be a happy camper : )

Wifes 7+ 128 Rose Gold showed up at 10:30 this morning here in so cal.

My 7+ 128 matte black still says 23-30 of this month.

Or those private customers with a a business association. Improved customer service, and ordering as well. It is worth looking into whether your company or your former University has a relationship. Not just for the discount but also for the better service

Trust me it means nothing with iphone preorders.

I have a Wells Fargo Investment Inc. corporate discount via a family member (no I dont work for a horrible bank), and Im not sure how much bigger a corporation there is.

And Im still processing 7 Plus black 128 ordered 4:29am (thanks to ATT upgrade checker being down for an hour 29 minutes)

"Premier" gets you nothing further with preordering iphones. It should but doesnt.

No, it means that AT&T doesn't have a phone in the warehouse for you. It doesn't mean that there isn't one manufactured and flying to AT&T with the specs that you want. Apple isn't making these on demand. When one is in the warehouse that meets your specs and you are next in line (how ever they are detmerining that, which as far as I can tell is a random number generator), then it will get to the shipping department and you'll get a shipping label printed and your phone will be on its way.

Maybe, but I'm still betting that many 9-23/9-30 and beyond in any of the black Plus colors are not yet manufactured. I spoke to a friend at Apple who said going a week early really stressed manufacuring on the bigger phones. We'll see. I'm not expecting them to ship my phone until the very last moment they can (9-30) and still be able to tell me "well, we told you between 9/23 and 9-30". That would be so AT&T.

Idk about that. Remember, 9 shipments via Alaska landed last night by 2am and another 3 today, 1 in the air 2 to come. Theoretically I think it was said each plan could hold 160k iphones or something like that. And obviously those 9 1 to 2am incoming flights were not delivered today.

12 flights could be a butt ton of phones; over 1 million

UPS/Fedex may not deliver on the weekends but Im pretty sure the transport backend continues; flights from China through Alaska into the US.

I think the majority will be shipped for next week delivery; maybe not the jet blacks if it is a slower manufacturing process. Im pretty sure china turns out some insane number per day building them; 500k if I remember right per DAY.

I think those phones are going mostly to the every year iPhone upgrade people. Hey, maybe we can file a lawsuit too!

It was "scheduled routine maintenance" according to the official ATT release to customer service employees (yes, I had a supervisor admit as much when I challenged her on who in their right mind would schedule "routine maintenance" on servers during their biggest sales day of the year? Made no sense). She finally admitted the company was embarrassed to say the site crashed for two hours in the middle of preorder. Mind boggling.

I agree Ron. We 256 people got the big shaft tho. Looks like Apple bowed to some bs law suit and diverted our phones to the crying iPhone every year upgrade people

I'm really bummed I didn't get my phone today. Hell, it's not even really that so much. What really kinda bums me out is that I haven't heard anything, or seen any movement on my pre order. I think I'd like it more that I'd know it was coming on, let's say the 30th, than not knowing at all. First world problems, I know. Rough week, was hoping for a pick me up lol. Hopefully we'll see some sort of update by Monday.

You have a point, Apple should have just waited a week or two or three until they had proper stock. This whole thing makes Apple and ATT look really bad

That's assuming that all those planes were carrying apple phones which isn't true. Likelihood is probably several positions on a few planes daily. Its just guaranteed that there are more flying through just not planes full.

Unless those UPS flights are inbound from Louisville to DFW, they aren't ATT Phones.
