I am planning to do the promo and take advantage of the $650, but I agree. I'm definitely planning to take it to a store and have them process the return. Far too often are there "little glitches" in the system once things are out of your sight.

I made an appointment for tomorrow at an ATT store a few days ago to do the in person trade in. I don't trust the automatic system.

I got too antsy and went to the ATT store in La Jolla to pick up a black 7/128gb. They had plenty and nobody was really in the store. I'm sure I'm gonna regret it later since I originally ordered the 7 plus jet black.

I thought about the same thing today. In fact I called the cooperate store closest to me late this afternoon and they said they had gotten several MB 7's in in the 128GB. She said they just sold their last one but expected more in tomorrow. If they would have told me they had one and would have held it for me I probably would have jumped ship.

Got in before the 3:00 start time and still have an October ship date!

But as customers why do we have no power in this pre-order process that's what I have an issue with. If we keep taking this it will keep happening.

decided to call the "product specialist" and she told me that the phones are in the warehouse but it could be 10-15 days for the configuration of the phone I ordered (128gb 7+ Black) before it is shipped out. I still have the Sept 23-30 time frame. I am so pissed right now after FIFO was not followed.

I just called to check my order status. I was hoping they would give me a definite date but all she said was that as soon as they got some in stock they would be shipping them out. She said you will get it between 9/23-9/30 then said she would be willing to bet I get it before the 23rd. She told me it's best to give me a later date and me get it early than for me to get a earlier date and get it late. I'm hoping to get it one day next week but not sure.
 
With so many people not getting their 7+ 128gb MB today it makes you wonder wtf happened. Apple messed up by not manufacturing more of these phones.
Yes, the reason we don't have our phones is because a lot of the ones that were sent to att and other 3rd party carriers had to be rerouted on Tuesday to go to apple stores after someone from the iPhone upgrade program filed a suit against apple because they weren't able to pick up their phone from the Apple Store on launch day so they claimed apple was giving priority to new customers. To midiate the suit they made a last minute decision to make sure the customers in the iup got their phones first. They originally planned on having 7+ phones in their store on launch day if it wasn't for the suit. Here's a link

if they are in the warehouse why in the hell would it take 10-15 days to ship out? i have worked in distribution before and i can come up with no reason why this could happen....i am with you, beyond pissed

For anybody that had their phone shipped or delivered via USPS, what shipping method was used? Priority? Registered? First Class?
