Carrier iPhone 7/7+ AT&T Pre-Order Thread

I don't know. He ordered through Verizon's website rather than Apple and got a shipping email. He said he hasn't ordered anything else.
I guess we'll find out Monday
Mine said the same. I received an order status email from ATT stating my order was moved to preparing to ship yesterday, but that link says my order is in progress. There are only two status possibilities in that link, in progress or shipped, there is no preparing to ship status. Weird.
Apple, And all carriers use UPS or FedEx.. Not USPS..
Now - some Verizon Enterprise and business accounts have access to special deals.. But Apple still keeps tight reins on shipping.
I just put that tracking number you provided into USPS' tracking app - and "conveniently" tonight their tracking service is down.
My guess is that it's down to fix faulty shipping dates that were being given to people. But we'll find out on Monday. Sorry to be so suspicious… But I've never heard of anyone getting a phone on the Monday after pre-order Friday. 98% it's not gonna happen.
I got a 7+ 128 Black- ordered 3:14am EST. Girlfriend got a 128 7 Jet Black. My ship time is Sept 23rd-30th, hers Oct 14th (I've read peoples past experiences preordering and typically they come earlier than the estimated ship date AT&T gives you*fingers crossed*).My order went from processing to "preparing to ship" and got a second email stating that as well. Oddly enough, my GF's jet black 7 is also preparing for shipping and she has an Oct ship date. Odd...
I'm pretty sure that the charge won't fall off. It's a hold on the funds in your bank not sure if the amount will actually post as being debited or just stay in a pending status. I had an issue when I preordered at 3am and entered all my payment info but when I got the point of agreeing to the at&t next terms the site crashed but my card was still charged. The site let me preorder again right after that so I did going I have the delivery dates of September 30 - October 7th for Iphone 7 Plus 256gb Jet Black states preparing for shipping. called at&t today to cancel the faulty order that never actually processed correctly and once they canceled it the funds that were on hold immediately showed back up in my bank account.
I read on the Verizon thread that these are their boxes to return their iPhones for trade-in. Multiple reports of these coming USPS on Monday in that thread. It's not the phone.
My new iPhone will be delivered by USPS just like my last one was. Even when something is shipped by UPS where I live, USPS usually delivers it. It's called the Last Mile.
If you're friend is trading in their current iPhone, then the most likely scenario is that Verizon is shipping the box for that return and NOT the actual iPhone 7.
Not exactly true. When the iPhone 5 or 5s came out (cant remember) I received it a day early. I thought that was pretty cool.
My order says preparing to ship also but the shipment date is a ways off.

Unfortuantely with the "preparing for shipment" no one knows right now. Seems a ton with far off dates are "preparing for shipment" already.
Although ATT's site says mid October for most Plus configurations, but Apple's site as 2 to 3 weeks for all but jet black Plus.

Both lol. the status is "in progress" and then to the right under tracking number it says "pending shipment" My ATT email says preparing to ship. All over the board.

This link says In Progress
But this link says Preparing to Ship, https://www.att.com/checkmyorder/orderDetails.rt, my guess is they mean the same thing, since there is only 4 statuses for the first link, In Progress, Cancelled, Partially Shipped, and Shipped. Since none of the last 3 match Preparing to Ship, the only one that does is In progress, which means the warehouse is getting the item ready to be shipped.
