Do you cancel your order when at the Apple store or do they do it for you?

Not sure, I just bought mine out right. From what I've read, others who followed my lead with the Verizon iPhone cancelled their att order when they had the Verizon phone in hand.. apparently the next eligibility returns pretty fast once you cancel.

I'm in going to snipe a Verizon 7+ 256gb once the CO time zone flips and use it on ATT lol then cancel my orders.. thank you for the insight we'll see if I can pull it off

Yeah one of them! I'm waiting up to check apple's stock of the one I'm waiting for. I'm really hoping they have one nearby cuz I imagine hitting that "cancel" button feels real nice.

So I just reserved the IPhone 7+ with Verizon but I'm porting my T-Mobile phone to att. Can I still get it? Or.. will it not work

Will a sim card from a Note 4 work in the 7+?

No. note 4 is micro sim, ip7 is nano sim. You can go to any att store and they will give you a nano sim upon request.

Yes you can reserve a Verizon phone, then purchase it with att next. You will just put the sim from your att phone into during the upgrade process. When I went the rep gave me all choices to buy the Verizon phone... next, iup, apple credit, full price outright.. I chose to just buy it out right, but could have done on next if I wanted to. Btw, the Verizon phone is better because you can use it with any carrier.

So once I go to pick up the phone can't I just say it's for att instead?

Well that is tough to hear. Especially since the closest Apple Store is 100+ miles from my house.

Does anyone think the phones will actually come in their shipping window? I don't mind waiting for 9/23-9/30, I guess, as long as I can feel confident it will arrive then. The problem is I don't. I feel like those dates will come and go and my husband and I won't have phones.

Gonna check Apple daily since I have a store nearby but I really wish they would just freakin' ship already.

I can't say for sure because I didn't ask about porting from another carrier. In theory it should work, but I will say you will need an att nano sim... most likely. Don't think Apple Store has any sims laying around to use that aren't already in phones. The sim that comes stock in the phone is a Verizon one. If I was you I'd go to an att store and port over ahead of time... if they will let you.. maybe onto a cheapo creepo phone with no contract... make sure the phone uses a nano sim. Or just tell them what you are planning an see if they will give you a new nano sim to use. Or maybe ATT will just port your line onto a nano sim you can then use for the iPhone... maybe if you tell them you slready have a phone...

Verizon is apparently good on all 4 major networks that's why include confused! And well I can always use my friends iPhone chip but to the people who have like Samsung and stuff when they do this, those aren't nano right?

Hey guys just got back from driving 6+ hours to get the closest MB 256 + I could find and I can confirm that you can use ATT Next once you are there in store. If you have a reservation for it they will have it in stock. One thing of note that I ran into is once you start the activation process and get all the way to paying Apple for the tax and down payment make sure you have form of payment that won't decline. Fraud protection kicked in on my card from the drive and the guy at the apple store said he would have to wipe that phone and get a fresh one IF they had one in stock to remove the $400 down payment I was doing for Next. Using my card as debit worked so the 6 hour drive wasn't waisted but just a heads up for those driving long distances. Love my Matte Black plus!

Same exact thing here...going to pick up my new 7+ 256gb matte black in the morning...have to drive 1.5 hours to get it, but better than waiting indefinitely for a 3:39am 09/09 order with no progress whatsoever.

I'd ordered the 128GB from att too...I will be happy with 256gb.

Thanks to all for answering my questions. I truly appreciate everyone's help and empathy. I hope y'all get your phones quickly, however you can get it done.

You can't use your friends iPhone chip, because it's tied to his/her account. Read what I written above. Again I didn't ask specifically if they would do a port over this way... so imo you are taking a risk. I've seen others here go in and get the Verizon phone on att next, and next every year with no prob, but haven't seen a port over done. I can tell you though, to have a chance if it working, I think you will need an att sim... so unless apple has some in store you'll need to bring one yourself.
