The rep I spoke to earlier before I canceled said that people who got their phones first were people who preordered?? I told her I preordered too and had a time stamp that was earlier than most! Then she went on saying they most likely had earlier shipping dates. So I said that's not true cause we all had 9/23-30 ship dates. Then she put in it was "first come first serve basis"? So I had to shoot her down again and mention that many people placed their orders waaaaay after me and still got it on launch. She had other excuses that were laughable but hey, it's AT&T right?? o_O
Good shootin' Mizz. I hope you find your phone in an Apple Store soon.

Troll vibe? I've been a member of macrumors since 2005. I'm telling you an experience that counters your argument that Apple doesn't care about it being on an installment plan or full price vs IUP.
Just cause you been around don't make you ok. Nothing changed in the email, you saying it has is a lie.

I had issues at the store and was told I would be the last individual. Now, were they wrong? Maybe. But that was my experience.

Sorry but a few more questions regarding my picking up my phone at the Apple store tomorrow. (LOL later today)

1. I understand there should be no problem getting AT&T next every year. I do not want to use Apple's annual upgrade program.

2. Will I have to activate my new phone and turn in my existing iPhone 6s Plus or do I just get my new phone leave the store go home do the activation and mail the old phone back to AT&T ??

3. Do I have to take AppleCare?

4. I know I will have to cancel my existing AT&T order. If I have to turn in my existing phone at the Apple Store I'm sure they will assist in deleting all of my personal information.
Thanks all for your assistance

If I don't see some movement on my phone this week, I'm out. Like you, I'll just get a Verizon phone. They have both radios inside unlike the ATT and TMob versions anyway.
True, and like I said, you could also do the sprint phone... it's the exact same model as the Verizon one

So I found out my T-Mobile phone has a nano SIM card in it. I heard Verizon works for all networks? Can I put that sim in it at apple than go to att to finish the port?

Yes, but then you couldn't get it on next financing. You'd have to buy it outright

So best bet is to run into att and get a sims card. Since I'm adding a line anyway. I'm not in the plan because my iPhone is still shipping for another month.

Or I can just add a line to my att. Keep it easy

Something about Sprint I just can't order one. I was a customer of theirs back in the old PCS days, Not a good experience....Like I feel about ATT now. I will never buy anything from ATT again, not even a cable, and I am seriously considering giving up my precious grandfathered unlimited data plan and flat out leaving them forever after 10 years.

Yes, but remember if you reserve a sprint or Verizon iPhone, you'll need to bring an att nano sim with you

That's fine. I can pick the nano sims at att before I head over to apple. Just to replace the Verizon one in there so we can get this all done. Woo now I can finally sleep easy

Ya, I was pretty pissed too. Quiet as it's kept, I've been moving phones over to Verizon from att for the past year or so. I've got 14 phones and 6 iPads moved so far, got 3 phones to go. That's basically why I just bought the iPhone outright, not tether to att

This...I have not hated a cell phone company this fervently since I had an account with Sprint years ago. After this BS, I feel exactly the same...I wouldn't buy ANYTHING from at&t now. I hate them more now than I hated sprint a long time ago.

Been with at&t over eight years. I am getting the hell away from them as soon as I can get my contract bought out...

So if I reserved a Verizon phone and getting it through the att next plan I have to take a nano sim with me? I cant just process my order and pay the taxes and just take my phone with me

Remember, the Verizon phone comes with a Verizon sim. So you would need the att sim from the phone you are upgrading, or a fresh nano sim from the att store... I don't think Apple Store has sims just laying around. I could be wrong and they may, but I wouldn't chance it.

Welp was only able to snag a 128gb matte black Verizon 7+ 40 minutes away in CO. So not super defeated as I am on a 16gb IPhone 6+. So I am happy and I'll probably just buy the damn thing and be done with it for awhile. Once it's in my hands I'll cancel my ATT orders lol I hope this apple operation works for all you of shafted by ATT. I'm now considering Verizon over ATT as I got burned and looks like better coverage over seas on Verizon

Can you explain more about the $400 down payment?
I have a card to use, but was under the impression that I would only be responsible for tax (just like when I pre-ordered via AT&T). I will be doing AT&T next as my 2 year contract recently was up. Thanks.

I just chose to put down a down payment as I had sold my iphone 6 for $400 and wanted to put that toward the new one to lower my monthly bill. But when my card declined I figured I would just worry about that later ond only pay the tax. But that would have required a new phone apparently.

jjallison I got an AT&T model

I'm stuck waiting for my shipment. Unless I want to drive 12+ hours, one way. I don't want to do that. Not even sure if there's one available in that distance. I didn't go past two states in any one direction. I've been told to expect it during the window given, so, here's to hope.
