Just remember on the $650 bill credits, they take up to 3 months to start, so that could be December.

And by the terms, it suggests the bill credits end if you upgrade again during the 2 years they give you the bill credits for. Meaning potentially only 9 to 10 months of credits at $27.08/month before the next iphone.

You have to buy out the phone first though, so like on mine it was a 64gb 6S and I owed $300. I'd actually lose money on this bill credit thing and upgrading (again, the terms hint but aren't clear that if you upgrade again bill credits are gone). Spend $300 to but out to get max $270.

Maybe an older 6/6 Plus it'd be worth it if you cannot sell it for more than $270; although I would doubt your couldnt

So if you are planning to get an iphone 8, it may not be the best route. They arent giving you $650 out of the goodness of their hearts; they are trying to lock people into their service.

Be careful on this one if you plan to upgrade. It may be better to sell it online than get these credits.

I'm not familiar with the reservation process at Apple around launch time. Does anyone know if they typically update their inventory available for reservation as they receive shipment (so we should continue checking back if there's a specific model we're looking for)? Or when the state's reservation times go live at midnight each night, is that all they'll have for the following day?

Yeah, the best thing to do is see if you have any family members that rarely upgrade their phones, have them trade it in. I almost did it then read that bit about not receiving credits when I upgrade, even though I did the AT&T Upgrade After 12 deal. I had one still on an iPhone 5, so I had him trade in my iPhone 6 Plus and he got a free iPhone 7 out of it.

I think people would do better selling them online. If you are ok skipping the iphone 8 and you get the full 24 months of credits, then nothing wrong with it. Well worth getting $650.

The math just doesnt add up for every year upgraders though to get $270.

From what I've seen in the past, inventory gets updated in two ways... At midnight they "reset" any reservations made for the day that were not picked up, thus showing stock as available. And they also update inventory as they get shipments, whether its at 8am or 11am, etc.

Yeah I am in the city. Can't find anything. And have not heard from att about my phone. 7+ 128 MB

I'm new here. I also live in Oklahoma. Ordered a MB iPhone 7+ right when pre orders went live. I got the "we've received your order" email and I haven't heard anything since.

They simply told me "we don't have a phone for you yet." They blame it all on Apple.
They have been quite good at deflecting questions over these last few days: system issues, website, large amount of orders, not enough supply, we are to big to care...etc etc...... hope we small see some 'serious' movement (shipping) today across all the product lines!

From the "AT&T also offering free iPhone 7 with trade" thread:

I don't know about AT&T, but I did the same promotion for Verizon and reading the email I got it sounds like for your first credit you get reimbursed for the first two payments as well. So it sounds like the first credit ends up being around $81 total. Again this is for Verizon but AT&T will probably do the same thing. Below is a quote from the email Verizon sent me.

"Here's how it works. You'll be charged the monthly device payment amount for your phone for the first two bill cycles. Then, your monthly credits will automatically appear on your account starting with the third bill cycle until the device is paid in full.* You'll also be reimbursed for your first two payments"

The rep at AT&T store that helped me with the trade in confirmed yesterday that that's how it works in AT&T also. I might need to make the full payment for up to the first three months before the credit kicks in but will get reimbursed afterward. He also said trading in my phone at the store should speed up the time for the credit kicks in.

Hope this helps.

I am still waiting on any info on my 7 plus black 256.
I am starting to think they do not exist.

Yeah I'm waiting on 128 7+ JB, hopefully some shipping info will go out today...who knows

I'm not convinced that there isn't a major problem with all of our orders that were placed within the first 15-30 minutes of preorders going live and have seen zero updates.

It helps understand the offer, but still not a good deal. Even if they give you 2 more months in there, still only making $324 (up from $270) upgrading next year and I owe ATT $300 to pay off.

Not worth all that hassle for $25.

The CSR told me the $650 is paid over the two year period and it would still apply to whatever device I get next year through ATT Next Every Year. Is this not true?

Does anyone know when the last time anyone received any shipping info from AT&T?

Mine hasn't changed from "Preparing to Ship" since I placed the order on 9/9.

Last Thursday was the last day it seems like that a lot shipping notifications went out. It's been crickets since.

I was told the opposite and I also think that is the best reading of the offer language on the website. You will get $650 in credits divided over 30 or 24 months (depending on whether you choose Next or Next Every Year), but if you upgrade before those 24 or 30 months are up, you will lose the remaining credits. You would also lose the remaining credits if you decided to fully pay off your device.

Scroll down to the fine text at the bottom. The sentence at the end of this quote:
Bill Credit: Must have completed trade-in for credits to start. Credits are applied in equal amounts towards installment payments over entire agreement term. Service must remain active and in good standing and device must remain on its agreement for the entire term to get all credits (if cancel service, you will owe remaining installment balance of up to $970). If upgrade or pay up/off agreement early, your credits may cease.

I, and others received shipping from AT&T yesterday after being backordered Saturday. Delivery tomorrow.

IP7+ Silver 256GB
Ordered 9/9 @ 9:52 am
Original Shipping 9/23-9/30

I preordered 9/9 @ 3AM JB 7+ and have an "in progress" status. I ordered online @ ATT Premier (business upgrade) and just to see if I could make any headway on my 10/14-10/21 ship date I decided to call. The CSR told me that they still expect the phone to ship during my dates (yeah right), and If I was to cancel my order and go with a Matte Black one it would still be 4 weeks out. If I was to place a new order right now with the JB the shipping is 55 days out.

She didn't really have any other info, just said the Black phones are the most popular and they will ship as soon as Apple gives them the phones. (Duh).

Hello thread. Ordered on 9/16 around 5:00pm EST from AT&T website. My provided shipping date is: 10/14/2016 To 10/21/2016. Is there any chance they will ship quicker than quoted?
I ordered 256GB Matt Black 7Plus.

I initially pre-ordered from apple on pre-order day and got the 128gb Jet black and was quoted 10/4-10/9, but changed my mind. So here I am.
Anywho, Is there any chance AT&T ship quicker than quoted? Hope so. Thanks.
Man everyone left in here ordered on the 9 th and are pissed our phones haven't shipped yet so good luck.

We have a whopping TWO Apple stores here in Oklahoma and neither of them have Pluses available for reservation.

Still stuck in iPhone purgatory....or maybe hell. Yeah definitely hell.
Hey another Oklahoma person! We can suffer together waiting for our phones that will never arrive.

It also says "If upgrade or pay up/off agreement early, your credits may cease" very clearly in the terms of this deal.

AKA if you upgrade next year bye bye credits after the 11-12 months.

So you if your current device is worth less than $650/24 over 11-12 months (about $300-330), then maybe it's worth it. From the 6S line, likely not. For the older 6 line, maybe, by a few bucks over selling it privately.

Even for me, I owed $300 on my 6S 64gb. Prices are down right now on resale; down even to $430 on Swappa. But take off their $10 fee, paypal fees (2.9% plus $.30) and shipping, I can make, what MAYBE $90 if prices dont drop? Lot of risk paying off the device to maybe make a few bucks. Personally, the first year Im trading it in and being done with it and not reselling.
