Carrier iPhone 7/7+ AT&T Pre-Order Thread

I just now got a text from 11113000 that says, "AT&T Free Msg: Your iPhone 7 Plus is on its way. As a reminder, you can receive up to $650 in monthly credits toward your new phone when you trade in an eligible iPhone 6, iPhone 6S, iPhone 6 Plus or iPhone 6S Plus. Go to att.com/tradeinoffer for full details including special trade instructions."

I ordered a 256GB Jet Black iPhone 7 Plus at 3:04am through ATT.

Dialing *ORDR# still says "In Progress."

So I just got a text from AT&T and it states "Your iPhone 7 Plus is on its way" and then it goes into "as a reminder you can receive up to $650 in monthly credits toward your new phone when you trade in an eligible iPhone 6, 6s, 6 Plus or 6s Plus"

Anyone received this and does this mean anything?

I know I'll be ordering through Apple next year if I can. I do the yearly Next program and when I tried this year to order through Apple even though I had made 12 payments on the phone and was eligible to upgrade Apple wasn't letting me order online through Next and the only option was to pay for the phone in full so off to AT&T I went....little did I know that would be a looooong road.

So for those on the yearly Next plan - does anyone have any tips on how to many sure that you can order online through Apple and be able to pick the Next plan when you already are in the Next plan?

Same one I got. Let's hope that actually means something and isn't some sort of new torture devised by ATT.

I ordered at 3:00:12 on 9/9 MB iPhone 7 Plus

just got a text from AT&T - got excited for a second but all it said was "Your iphone 7 plus is on it's way. As a reminder, you can receive up to $650 in monthly credits toward your new phone when you trade in an eligible iphone...blah blah blah... Still no movement on mine

Totally not surprised that the moment I cut and run from AT&T, people are seeing their phone ship. Like, literally an hour later. Godspeed to you guys. Can't help but feel even more woe after seeing this!
 
it seems like everyone is getting this text. Which is a way for ATT to calm us down probably. Because on the app and the website mine still says preparing to ship. I got it as well like 15 min ago.
 
Just got this text. Anyone care to wager a guess on my ETA?

7p 128gb matte black in the Houston area.

Checked my online order status and the order can't be found so there is definitely an update going on. Bet I'll have the phone tomorrow!
 
Got the same text as everyone else. My phone shipped yesterday. Not sure if this is any more credible than the "preparing to ship" status though. Hoping im wrong of course.

I think some of us are more pissed off by the dates we received, than not getting the phone before promised shipping dates. I ordered at 11:58pm PST on preorder launch evening. that is a full 10 minutes before Apple and VZW went live. How in the heck can someone get an order in that early, and still receive shipping dates two weeks out from launch day? That is insane. This is my 9th preorder (the previous 8 were with Apple, but I went with ATT this time because I was put in a cue early and got in 5 minutes before the 3:00 am opening). Then, people who ordered not just hours, but days after me started receiving shipping notifications. Then, their server crashes and they tell people it is "scheduled routine maintenance"? So yeah, I'm not happy with the way this whole thing went.
