Carrier iPhone 7/7+ AT&T Pre-Order Thread

i have an idea! We should find out from the apple forum who has a phone that is a 256+ model in transit right now from louisville to dallas.... If there is one either in dallas possibly about to ship out or in transit that may be the flight that many 256+ models are on. My boyfriend has a 256+ mb that he ordered from Apple that is scheduled to be delivered by ups on friday (updated changed from thursday) and it's sitting in china or enroute to the USA... I'll know when it scans again. So we could even be in that batch that is on it's way. He ordered on the 16th whereas I ordered on the 9th and it looks like ours will either get here at the same time or he'll get here first.
I'm about to go down to best buy and pick up the galaxy S7 edge just to hold me over until my phone ships.. I do not have the patience for the 7 plus to ship
Good to see some activity for San Diego. I ordered MB 7+ 128gb at 3:06 and it is still not showing anything.
Cross your fingers one of my orders might be close to shipping. Neither are reporting backordered but I have a pending charge for the tax amount on my bank account. The date of the charge is yesterday so it is a new charge - not one still hanging around from when the orders were placed.
Has anyone experienced *6737# not working for them from the beginning and resolved the issue? It's starting to make me nervous that all I ever get is:

I started getting this message last night. Was working fine until then. Pretty sure I'm never getting my phone.
not really. I know what plane my boyfriends phone will be on... his departs china in 14 hours to alaska and i can track his (because he ordered from apple and has a tracking number from the time it leaves the factory). His phone being a 256 mb+ I assume there are more like it aboard the same plane. That being said his scheduled delivery is for Friday so I would also assume that the other phones on the plane could potentially get from louisville to the hub in dallas 1.5 hours away and also be delivered friday and into saturday. All of this is my own speculative way of occupying my mind while i'm waiting for my own phone to get here.

The text option just switched. The website still says preparing shipping. I wouldn't even bother checking the website status at all. The text option is the only one that seems to be providing up to date information.

Made a reservation early this morning under the IUP link for 7+ MB 128gb. One for me and one for my daughter . Drove all the way to Indiana 2 1/2 hours . Put both of those phones on AT&T next put both of those phones on AT&T next with no questions asked whatsoever. In and out in 10 minutes. So glad to be done with this whole ordeal.

I think what pisses me off the most isn't that I ordered at 3:02:03 ET and still got a delayed ETA, or even that AT&T is shipping pre-orders out of any kind of order. It's that all pre-orders for each model should have been shipped before any of that model appeared in stores. That's the point of PRE-ordering!
you're right about the website status. it continued to show "Preparing to ship" hours after i got the fedex shipping info on my wife's phone.
So people all of a sudden are getting "back ordered" from *ORDR# and a plane just landed in Anchorage 11 minutes ago. Coincidence? Maybe...
I'm close to Tampa, FL and still no movement for any 256GB 7+. I believe someone close to Orlando recently had a 7+ shipped but I think it was MB 128GB.
Roughly how long was it between the time your order went to "back ordered" and the time you received the tracking number?
Nah none were given earlier than your dates. My 128 gb is oct 14-21 and I ordered at 3:01. The 256 gb was given your dates from the get go, I think because 128 gb is highest in demand. We should be the first batches of jet black to go out, hopefully any day now!
Alright. That's it. I checked the Apple Store reserve link on a whim to see if stock somehow changed since I woke up and found a 7 plus 128gb in MB nearby. My reservation is for 6:30 so I'll stick it out and see if I get shipping info in the meantime, but I'm done with this nightmare of a preorder.
