Carrier iPhone 7/7+ AT&T Pre-Order Thread

I too have been lurking on this thread in silent pain. I'm pending shipment and have for over a week. I ordered from ATT at store location here in Georgetown,KY 9/11 at 4:10pm. My ship dates are Oct. 14-21. I am waiting on a 7Plus 128 in Rosegold. Has anyone gotten one yet? They did have 7 in Rosegold 128 in stock- just not in plus.

I haven't seen anyone with mid October dates showing shipped, yet. I could be mistaken, but I haven't seen anyone.

How do I check if I went to backordered with that *6747# method? I tried texting to that number but am I supposed to type in something specific in for the text message I send to that number?

No. just follow the text instructions. Using method 1 is the only one that worked with me.

Sorry. You don't text to that number. You call that number. Open phone pad. Dial *6737#.

Well guess I am done on here, tired of seeing people that ordered after me shipping. Good luck I think we will need it

So my question is if I paid off my att next account just under an hour ago how long before I can use that upgrade at Apple?

I haven't seen anyone who ordered after me get shipped the same model I ordered. Mine just shipped and I ordered at 2:56am 9/9.

Should be immediate. I had to pay $70 to be upgrade eligible. As soon as the payment was submitted, I was able.
 
Well guys I've enjoyed being here but my wait is over my MB 128 gig 7+ was delivered today ordered on 9/9 3:02 am est. from AT&T I'm in Indiana fedex driver said he had quit a few att orders to deliver today

May I ask did you go to the South Bend store or Indianapolis? I ask bc I have been checking like a crazy person and haven't seen 128 B pluses at the Indy store.

If that's the case, then there is NO benifit to pre-ordering. I'm guaranteed one anyway. It's not like there is a limited number being made. If I pre-order and wait till December, or wait until I find one in the store, there will be one eventually either way. If they aren't guaranteeing a date I will receive it, then there is no guarantee. They will continue to make this phone even after the next model is released.
 
My status through *6737# went to backorderd at about 5:30. I'm hoping it's the good omen it has been for 95% of us.

If Apple (or carriers) relied only on pre-orders, or shipping the pre-orders out before they are available in stores, no one would make any money. The retail store employees would make no commission, the stores would be under par for their numbers, and probably would discontinue to carry said phones. Apple may not have been able to foresee the large number of pre-orders (which I agree should be easily expected, since it happens year after year), so in turn they have to wait for shipments from manufacturers, who I am assuming are working their A**es off to keep up with the production requirement due to pre-orders. I mean really, how is it going to affect you to have to wait a few extra days to receive a phone? Be patient... your phone IS coming.

That type of reasoning is saying that if they shipped pre-orders first nobody would buy in store. You know that's not the case. Move pre-orders up so you know how many to ship. And magically that solves the problem of not being able to foresee demand. There is no rule that says you have to sell in stores 1 week after pre-orders. My wife has pre-ordered the new Pokemon sun and moon. Pre-ordered back in August, and they don't ship till mid November. Guess what? Nobody is losing sales or commission or anything else.
