I'm in Michigan as well. Order went to back order early this morning, but no shipping info yet
Same here. Waiting for the shipping info. Looks like AT&T is finally looking to ship to MI.
So I was able to get a 32Gb MB Plus at the apple store yesterday. Took about 15 minutes from the time I walked in to walking out with my new phone. If anyone has an Apple Store close by, I highly recommend trying to get one this way if you don't want to wait any more. My est shipping date was Oct 10 - 17. The phone is really awesome!

We ordered two 128GB Mat Black iPhone Pluses. One at 12:19 and one at 12:39. Yesterday afternoon we got the BACK ORDER (OUT OF STOCK) text for the 12:39 phone. Then, an hour later the Shipping Text with FedEx tracking info. Nothing on the 12:19 order. The later one is being delivered in the next few hours.
I called the 866 number and the first phone just went to BACK ORDER, but no shipping text yet.
So strange that the later order arrives today, but not the first order. Really stupid. I guess there is always a chance both will show up, but probably not.

There are many people who ordered 9/9 and still waiting for the shipment. But I am guessing the shipping estimates will improve further as the initial orders are cleared.
To answer the question about whether you have to sign for the FedEx or not... Not. The FedEx driver just dropped it on my porch and left.
I'm hoping my phone is in Dallas and is a next day delivery to Houston. Much more convenient to get it tomorrow than Monday.
No, mine did that too for about 10 hours then it updated with the delivery date and such. Once you have tracking, you're golden lol
I'm hearing they include specific instructions to deliver on a weekday.

The same thing happened to me last night. It kept saying ACTIVATED. Then, this morning it said BACK ORDERED. So, just give it some time and dial *6737# another time.

DONE. Canceled AT&T order. Went to Apple this morning and reserved BM 128. Picking it up in 1 hour!!!! Good luck to all of you. I'll never pre-order from AT&T again.
Ordered same model, but no update. Same shipping window, but ordered at 12:16 AM PT.
Don't lose hope. I'm in dallas and when I received my notification email, the phone showed up the next day. I had ordered MB at 2:38 with ship dates of 9/23. I received my notification email on 9/20 and phone on 9/21. I did however receive a barrage of texts from AT&T today sayin my phone is on the way..... 2 days after it had already arrived.

I ordered the same phone. Same shipping window. Nothing from AT&T. I'd started wondering about the JB and scratches. Found a MB at Apple Store this morning and liked the look. Again, heard bad things about the JB while there. Also, even the Apple store doesn't have JB. Guy rolled his eyes when I mentioned JB availability. I'm starting to think that the middle of Oct. shipping window is probably real. Canceled AT&T order and pick up my MB 128 in an hour!!!!
My tracking info says "Deliver Weekday" at the bottom. Its coming Monday sometime. Not sure what everyone elses says...
Friend of mine got his 7 JB yesterday. Already looks like crap after one day. He doesn't have a case though, and he isn't the most anal person about keeping it nice.
