My rose gold 7 has a delivery date of 9/16 and I can see my status using the order number just fine. Doesn't make sense that only 7 pluses with better delivery dates would be the only ones crashing the system.

My rose gold 7 has a delivery date of 9/16 and I can see my status using the order number just fine. Doesn't make sense that only 7 pluses with better delivery dates would be the only ones crashing the system.
I hope the outage doesn't affect our shipments! I hate this waiting game... it's driving me nuts.... I'm becoming obsessed, checking my order status every 5 minutes. Lol
I've been getting the same errors as everyone else, but succeeded in using the ATT order tracker by going directly to it (not logging in through my account), and using the order number from my original confirmation email. (See Wireless order status website.)
Note that I ordered a matte black iPhone 7 with 128gb storage on Sunday afternoon, and still have a shipping date as early as 9/16.

And what is stopping at&t from telling you that there is a minor scuff on the back of your iPhone and they will only offer you $350 for your trade-in? What will you do the ?
I'm gonna go ahead and say that everyone who preordered that weekend of the 9th is going to get their phone on launch day. I ordered mine at 1:53 AM CT, 128 GB 7 Plus Matte Black. And I got a 9/23-9/30 shipping date.
just checked mine to see if there had been any updates, still reads the same.

I had the charge pending since I pre-ordered, checked this morning and it's gone. Hopefully that's a positive sign for something!
Yup mine went this morning too although I don't think it's indicative of anything. Its hasn't been in past years at least.
I don't think anyone with a 7+ 128GB matte black has a September 16th delivery date so there have to be a few that are moved up if not all with the shipping estimate that you have.just checked mine to see if there had been any updates, still reads the same.

that's what im figuring as well. No way ALL matte black 7+ have a legitimate release of 9/23-9/30. Im assuming this is ATT's way of saying "hey we didn't promise you launch day, but if you get it than just remember your old pals at ATT hooked you up"

what time did you order? From what I hear all the JB's are out and on back order. This could be the case for your order.

When I checked my order via text message it says it's on back order, but both my online order status page AND a CSR told me that it'd be delivered 9/16. Weird.

Mine have always been fedex.
Not sure why AT&T decided to "enhance our online experience" during probably the most high-traffic week of the entire year.
Sorry to burst any bubbles, but when your preorder is placed a charge appears, it goes away and then it comes back again when the phone is shipped. I preordered phones in 2010 and 2014 and those have been the scenarios for each.
I've always ordered my new iPhone directly from the Apple site. This time, I went the AT&T route. Even if my phone does come Sept. 23-30, I'm still pretty happy. When typically do they send out the notice that your order has shipped?
