Carrier iPhone 7/7+ AT&T Pre-Order Thread

We should hopefully see some movement today. I hope so anyways. I see alot of repeat questions so I hope some of my previous experience below helps out anyone curious.

Remember the phones ship from AT&T Center so they only go 1 day or next day shipping. Tracking numbers will populate appropriately as they assign your phone to you. I've read in the past and can imagine that takes a lot of manual input so many orders will have shown with previous departure scans before you even get the info. I have always received my Iphones this way, and this is my fourth pre-order through AT&T. Despite my shipping dates, with all the information from our collaborating I am feeling decent about receiving tracking in the next couple of days and getting it on time.

Ordered 9/9/16 at 3:01:53 am EST with est shipping dates 9/23-9/30. Intial status: In Progess
Also on 9/9 received email stating order received. Status: Preparing to Ship with same dates
My order time on the wesbite shows 9/9 at 2:58:22 am EST
No change since. Still showing dates 9/23-9/30 with Preparing to Ship and tracking number Pending Shipment.
Again, some previous info:
Iphone 6Plus 128g Space Gray (shipped 1 week late)
Ordered 9/12/14 at 2:53am EST (pre-orders opened 3am) with 14-21 business day shipping.
Order status fluctuated from Processing to Preparing to Ship, to Backorderd, and finally to Preparing to Ship.
Ship dates showed 10/2-10/13
On 9/18 received an email confirming expected delivery dates of 10/2-10/13
On 9/27 at 1:13pm a tracking number was assigned and I was informed it was shipped via email.
Iphone 5 (received ontime)
Ordered 9/14/12 at 1pm EST (pre-orders opened 3am). Website stated 9/21 delivery, however confirmation email stated 14-21 days.
Order status Backordered Items: 1
Overnight on 9/19 order status Backordered Items: changed to 0
On 9/19 at 7:30pm EST status changed to shipped with no tracking number.
Woke up 9/20 with tracking numbers
Received ontime 9/21 (picked up at UPS)
Iphone 4 (received ontime)
Ordered 6/15/10. Apple and carriers experienced many system crashes. I remember it taking hours to get into the websites.
Don't recall specific shipping dates, except that they were windows.
Received 6/24 ontime via FEDEX

just got the same insurance activation text as some of you. whether this means my phone is shipping soon im not quite sure. But any activity other than "shipment delayed" is a happy and encouraging development.
I also suggest that everyone signs up for the Fed Ex delivery manager. There you can get alerts when there a package addressed to you.
fedex is the pretty much the only thing att will ship from. Hence att get an hold of custody of all phones from apple and then get rerouted to there main hub in dallas tx. and then ships on your merry way.
I just ordered another iPhone 7 128gb in regular black. Had to order it from Premier. Have a ship date of 9/19 - 9/26. Hopefully I get it early next week.
This is because banks only allow temporary holds for a certain period of time. For example, my bank only allows a 72 hour hold. Meaning, if the vendor does not charge within 72 hours, the hold is automatically removed by the bank. Some banks allow a 12-day hold. Each bank has their own regulations on how long they will allow funds to be held.

Ordered at 4:30am EST on Friday, and using UPS My Choice tracking, it had my tracking number and everything ready to go, shipping from china. Apple still has it listed as 'Preparing for Shipment'

I have Chase. Ordered two phones, on 9/9 at 2:30 am CST, IPHONE 7 plus, 128' matte black, shipping date of 9/23-9/30
Ordered second phone around 8 a.m. On 9/9 For my daughter iPhone 7, 128' Rose gold. Shipping date 9/15.
Both pre authorizations charges for the tax dropped off yesterday. This morning one reappeared...it's the tax charge for the iPhone 7...no charges have reappeared for my 7+ yet...
Okay folks, my estimated shipping has changed from Sept 23 - 30 to Sept 21 - 29. Only a two day difference but at least it's movement.

HA! This is the best... iPhone 7 128GB Black ordered at exactly 2:56AM EST. Went to check the order status today and I get this: Back Ordered! Still set to deliver on September 16. So if anybody needed additional proof of just how messed up ATT's ordering system is, here you go

I can log into the website but the order page still pulls an error. Has been pulling the same error since early evening yesterday.
Back ordered is good. In years past when your item went to back ordered it usually shipped not long after. Will be interesting to see if that is still true.HA! There's an Apple.com pre-order thread if you interested. The shipping process of ordering on Apple.com is different than ordering directly through the carrier site. I should have ordered through Apple.com.
