Carrier iPhone 7/7+ AT&T Pre-Order Thread

I wanted to order through Apple.com but it wouldn't load for me. My husband was adding a line to our account so he had to order through AT&T. He was already done with his order and I still couldn't get into Apple so I just ordered from AT&T. Regretting it.

They actual opened up about 10 minutes late, I was checking both. Once Apple opened I checked shipping times for the phone I wanted and it said 2-3 weeks so I just stuck with AT&T in hopes they were overestimating.

The one year I ordered directly from Apple, my iPhone 5S… came from UPS… and also on launch day.

I got a new MacBook pro this year and it came via UPS.
 
I just chatted with AT&T rep, Had him look up my order status...
He had same info at stated in original email conforming order.

IPhone 7 Plus 128GB Black

9-23 to 9-30 ship dates

He was very polite, but also mentioned that these are tentative dates and could very well ship earlier.

So they have more info that we can find online

Just got this text a few hours ago. My JB 7 128GB has a shipping date of 10/14-10/21 so this could be a good sign for it being shipped sooner. Here's hoping.

Pretty sure that's a function of your bank and not the merchant. The bank controls how long a merchant hold remains on the account.

I got that date also. got order in at 2:03 am central time
 
The ATT CS rep told me that they will use what ever delivery service they can to get the preorders out on time. They have contracts with all of them. I've always preordered from Apple and received the item via UPS. This is. my first time ordering from ATT, so hopefully I'll find out soon which they will use.

I didn't even realize we could order carrier phones through Apple. This is my first iPhone. I've been a longtime Samsung user. Everyone who preordered through Apple already has their tracking numbers with phones set to arrive on launch day. Meanwhile I got into AT&T the second the site went live (before midnight) and still received an estimated shipping of September 23 - 30. How annoying. And my family member received a November ship date for hers. If the Note 7 wasn't being recalled I'd probably give up and get one lol.

I just got a call from the ATT rep we dealt when I added my wife to the account about a month and half ago. He told me they would have any 7 I wanted ready and waiting in the store Friday. Hated to tell him I'd already preordered. Wondering now if I made a mistake.....
