What is wrong with some of you people??? Everyone is acting like it is the end of the world because other carriers and Apple have started giving tracking numbers. You are right, they wont communicate with us until it ships, because, guess what?? They have nothing to communicate until it does ship. Would you like hourly updates: "Hey guys, we are still sorting through the phones that just came in, please be patient. As soon as we have more info, you will be the first to get it." And choosing to never preorder through AT&T again bc you still don't have tracking info? Wow. I think that as long as everyone gets their phones on or within the delivery/shipment dates, then AT&T has done their job. If you get it sooner, well then by golly, even better! I know some people are just excited, and anxious, I understand that. But, for others, complaining about it isn't going to get the phone quicker. Take a seat and breathe. If your assigned date comes and still no phone, then complain away!

I agree we all are spending big bucks. This isn't $49 worth of Prime stuff from Amazon here and oh it comes when it comes no big deal- a book or towel or something small.

And we stayed up until dead of morning (3am on the east coast) to pre-order and still have no more info than that night on tuesday now.
 
7 128gb black, 16-23rd Sep, currently preparing to ship with no change since I ordered it. This is the most unexcited I've been to get an iPhone, even though it is taxes only, and $100 for the memory upgrade. I can't wait for the iPhone eye
 
While I understand the intention behind this rant it is easy to take that position when one has a delivery date for their device. Most don't. For a few folks this is the first time preordering an iPhone. There are multiple factors involved here. Some have spent a lot of money on these devices and have every right to ask for more information. Whether they get it or not is not important. Also the angst is towards AT&T or Apple not other members of this community. I couldn't care less if others are getting worked up as long as it isn't directed towards me.
I love people who click on these threads just to tell others how dumb they are acting and how much they hate these threads. Lol
Hey, if you don't like a thread, instead of berating those on the thread, why not just pass it up. I do this all the time. Btw, telling people to "just calm down" always works...said nobody ever.
 
Exactly. And to be honest, yes, I'd like AT&T to tell me "Hey we are getting new phones today and your order status might change but there is no guarantee" over ZERO communication. Some of us stayed up until 3am to preorder this phone and are well within our rights to expect more. No one is suggesting AT&T change my order to shipped since that is impossible unless a device is actually assigned to me. But a "hey we might be able to tell you more tomorrow" goes a long way.

I have a preparing to ship and my shipping date say Oct 7-Oct 14th for a Matte Black plus. So not sure that the
"preparing to ship" and "delivery date" statuses are truly accurate. But what do I know.
 
I just cannot imagine ATT got ZERO black or jet black Plus models since every one in the black colors is 9/23-9/30 ship dates.

They must know something by now as there are only 2 days left to ship to hit launch day.

It's just discouraging they are such a mess internally, and dont make money off updating customer orders so have no incentive to rush.

Meanwhile Apple had shipping info for people from China back on Sunday and is updating statuses constantly on orders. This will be my only and last year ordering from ATT.com.

Only reason I did was I owed 1 Next payment left and couldnt do it through Apple's site at 3am EST so had to through ATT. Next year it will be paid off a month early ready to go for Apple.com like last.
Hey, don't bash the carriers, they are doing the best they can!!!
Thought I'd post this before another thread policeman gets here to tell you the same.

apple proablay and most likely didnt allocated an lot to att for those colors and are holding on. so att is just shooting those dates 9.23 to 9.30 just to cover his arse. i order 15 mins before the pre orders begin. and still same just nothing to worry. most likely we will get it on 16th but again if we dont then dont really matter its not like the end of the world.
 
What exactly do you want them to tell you? Everyday you get an email telling you that your order is still in processing? This seems like crazy expectations.

There are worse things in the world going on right now. Just cause you "pre-ordered", means you are entitled to a phone on 9/16? Its entertaining that this many people can complain about one thing and 2 days after they get their phone, they are over it.

This has been going on for 9 years! You should all be used to it already.

We should all just sit down and act the way the forum police tell us. This always works well.

I had mine shipped to my office with no problem...my billing address is my house. Lots of people apparently had the same issue you did, but I was able to change the shipping address when I ordered.

This is my third pre-order through AT&T and every time I have had overnight shipping so it could be Thursday you get shipping details if you're getting it launch day.

Yes the vast majority of people last year didn't even hear anything all the way through Wednesday. Wednesday at 10 PM EDT was the first post in this thread last year that anybody got an update. Most people got stuff throughout the day Thursday.

Tomorrow will be another very long day!

- AT&T stores will be receiving stock this Weds and Thurs.

- No Jet Black Plus models (5.5") on launch day. But stores will receive very limited qty for iPhone 7 (4.7") JB.

- iPhone 7 (4.7") will be the plentiful (Compatitively). Plus models (5.5") will all be very limited in all colors (Remember, no Jet Black Plus models on launch day)

- Higher performing stores will receive more stock.

- Plus JB models (5.5") are arriving as they come. But no launch day! Expected shipment date to the stores is week of the 19th. All Store Managers are instructed not to hold any stock for anyone. First come, first serve.

- Stores are instructed not to reveal exact numbers but to answer "Limited quanities"

- Only the larger 3rd party authorized stores will receive limited stock. Very very limited (Best Buy, Radio Shack..). All other 3rd party stores may not receive any stock.

- All locations have black out dates for PTO (Personal Time Off) for the next 2 weeks. Stores will be fully staffed.

- Store Managers are expected to be on the floor assisting all employes (More staff on the floor to assist with the busy launch)

- AT&T stores will be opening at 8 AM on Friday.

- All stores are given petty cash to purchase goodies for people who stand in line (Donuts, water, keychains.. etc..)

- The most Senior Managers of the stores will speak to the local media only. No store associates are allowed to speak with the media without permission from Store Manager.

- All employees are not allowed to set aside phones for themselves to purchase when stock arrives. Must order online or wait in line like everyone else (For the employees that don't have to work that day can go stand in line)
 
I'm late to this thread having just order an iPhone 7 Silver 128 GB yesterday and an iPhone 7+ Black (matte) 32 GB today, but here is the current status for each order.

iPhone 7 Silver 128 GB: Preparing to ship, Delivery by date of 9/16
iPhone 7+ Black 32 GB: In progress, Estimated ship dates 10/11 - 10/18

While I've had lots of problems accessing the AT&T website, I've been able to check the order status pretty consistently today by entering the order number and my zip code on the order status link provided in the confirmation e-mails.

It's only new vacation days that won't be accepted. If a Rep had vacation in before the announcement then they will be able to keep it if they wish.
