Carrier iPhone 7/7+ AT&T Pre-Order Thread

My feeling is that AT&T is pure evil & would kill me and everyone I care about because I'm feeling impatient about my phone order and am looking for someone to blame online about it. Just incredibly inept on the part of AT&T to kill my whole family like that. I'm ordering from Apple next time so I can see when the delivery guy takes a bathroom break.
i have EXACTLY same status and phone as you.Does anyone else have a "Preparing to Ship" status on their AT&T order for the iP7+ 256 GB in Jet Black? What's weird is my shipping estimates aren't until Sept. 30- Oct 7th and my order was placed on 9/9 at 3:00:55 AM EST. Should I even have hope for Friday or Monday?
I agree as well. Actually before even pre-ordering with AT&T I called them to see what my final payoff for my phone now was and mentioned to them I was going to pay it off to order with Apple's Upgrade every year plan and the rep I had on the phone actually tried to give me a free tablet for doing the AT&T next plan lol! I think they do care, or maybe she was just doing her job but I ended up going with Next because in a year I can upgrade to ANY other phone and with the apple plan I would have to wait pay the iPhone in full unless I wanted to upgrade to ANOTHER iPhone again...which next year I most likely will but I like to keep my options open lol.

I REALLY hope we're getting our phones this week lol! I already got all my cases and screen protectors just incase...if not then I guess I can just play with the cases until October 7th >_> LOL!
I think they only minimally care as iPhones bring in costly plans, fees and of course all the bells and whistles the carriers can add to your monthly bill, and the carriers actually DO make a profit on. IMO, the carriers see these preorder events as more of "an Apple thing" (and a huge PITA) than a carrier thing.

Probably, but still its not like AT&T has their OWN line of phones lol. They are only making money off the data plans and lines that they sell to us to use with any phone but I see what you mean. They're not as concerned with our devices as they would be with the actual services they offer us lol.
I am in the same exact boat, except my order status says my order was placed at 12:04.
You're right, I suppose they see the phones as a necessary evil to rake in all the dough from the "plans, fees and unnecessary addons" , but it's quite obvious they are clearly not excited about it like Apple is. Lol

mine was originally 1:54am on 9/9 but i didn't get confirmation email until Saturday at which time they changed my order to 9/10 at 11:07 am
Still have same shipping window but fear they messed with my place in line.Yep LOL! Apple is the one raking in the billions. xD If only they would be nice to the people giving them all their billions...you'd think they would give priority to the pre-order people. I freaking woke up at 2:45 AM to be ready for my pre-order, was one of the first people and lost sleep..had the next crappiest day ever due to no sleep and now I'm hoping it wasn't all in vain LOL.

This thread isn't fun anymore. This will be my 4th iPhone but first time pre-ordering. I can see the entertainment factor some seasoned pre-orderers have mentioned but man some of you are just being ugly.
Yeah I'll commiserate with everyone to a degree. I enjoy the status updates and speculation going around. Always fun playing detective trying to figure out what each little change in status or movement means. Otherwise the whining is whatever. This my fourth pre-order from AT&T. Always chaotic, but honestly, unless you are one of the few across all carriers and sellers that get accurate early information, you are in the same boat as thousands of people. Read all the different carrier threads and you will find the same thing. No one here likely cares whether you will use AT&T next time.

Are you sure you meant regular/matte black? Jet black is only available for the iPhone 7 Plus in 128GB and 256GB.
Well I'm at work and click on the email every now and then. Although I know the status won't change since I didn't get another email saying it was shipped....
iPhone 7 regular (non-plus) models come in jet black in 128 and 256gb capacities as well.
My husband pre-ordered the Note 7 last month when it came out and never got any email other than the confirmation of his order..got a shipping confirmation with a tracking number on a Wednesday and the day before the phone was "officially released" in stores he got the phone. Not sure how it will work with Apple ofc this is a whole different monster but I think AT&T isnt very good about sending early confirmations lol
LOL. I still can't see my order status. If it doesn't arrive Friday, that's cool but I would at least like to know that my order is still valid. Can't even check that.
