Ordered 7 plus JB 128gb in store for upgrade, around 11am on launch day, 7 October store pick up, has anyone had this date then been told it's coming sooner?

As far as I know, Jet Black Plus models are unlikely to come any sooner than that.

Congrats on getting your phone. Looks like me and the rest of the JB+ crew are really going to be waiting until early October at the earliest :(

Quoted a delivery date on the phone of October. Quoted a delivery date on three.co.uk of Friday 23rd September. Ordered online.

It's being delivered two days early tomorrow (Wednesday 21st) by DPD. Availability was much quicker than through Apple. Sure it's not unlocked, but then I've been with Three for around ten years, and can't see myself changing.

So it seems Three are being conservative with their delivery estimates such that customers aren't disappointed.

Three phones are now completely unlocked.

For sure, but the JB Pluses are already in super short supply as it is. I think we will be waiting. I hope I am wrong. Like I said before, When I ordered the 6 Plus from Three 2 years ago, they gave me a date in October but I got my phone 6 days after launch. Fingers crossed.

Out of interest, have you seen the JB in the wild? I liked the photos and was thinking of getting one. But when I saw it in store it reminded me of a plastic 5c. So went matt black instead.

Yes, I've seen one in the Apple Store, and also a friend has a JB 7. For me, the finish does not appear cheap at all - on the contrary, the finish is absolutely gorgeous, and an eye-catcher. I considered switching to the matte, but only for an earlier delivery date...definitely looking forward to the Jet Black!
 
I managed to reserve 4 iPhone 7+ 128GB in black yeaterday at Apple and just cancelled my iPhone pre-order with Three and a good job too. When I was cancelling they said my shipping date was 21 October - was quoted 30 September at time of ordering for 128GB iP+ in silver.

You guys would be better off getting from Apple directly using the iUP.

You guys would be better off getting from Apple directly using the iUP.

I wish the Jet Black + models were that easy to come across!
 
I joined Three on the 13th (after failing to reserve a Jet Black Plus through Apple) using their 0% Barclays finance program. I was initially told online that I should expect the device by the 28th of October, which was more honest than what EE customers were told. However, speaking to the live chat today I was told to expect it between the 7th of October to the 14th. Maybe providers are finally being allocated stock? Last night a lot of standard Black 128gb Pluses appeared throughout the stores for reservation and pickup today through Apple, whereas their online ordering was quoting 2-3 weeks. A good indicator that shipments are arriving at stores too rather than diverted to apple.com for delivery.

I've been told 7th for Matte Black 128GB too. I contacted earlier and thats the date the scottish guy said. As a londoner its bloody hard to understand Scots! haha.

I'm Scottish too but up north in the highlands and even I struggle with the Glasgow accent! Haha. Good news about your Matte Black. When did you order?

11th September, EE cocked me around when I preordered day 1 only had 3 hrs sleep that night. Still pretty pissed about it. But some people talk proper quick haha even for me!
 
I have had an absolute nightmare with Three. I'm a new customer tried to preorder 128GB JB 7 via the website on 9th Sept but kept crashing at payment form - eventually was given phone number to call to make £99 payment. Original delivery date showing when I started order on the website was launch day.

Since then I have had no communication from Three - despite contacting them via Web Chat and phone several times asking for this - every time I was given a different date.

Things came to a head when 20th Sept came with no delivery, despite being promised by online advisor that it would definitely be delivered then.

I then wrote a long e-mail explaining all this to the CEO and was contacted by someone from the executive team today.

They apologised and advised me that delivery would be on October 21st! The guy, also stated that this had always been the date - even at the point they were taking pre-orders, and that it was known that there would be a delay on the JB stock.

Whilst I'm a little dissapointed about the date - it's nice to finally have what feels like a concrete date - and Three have very kindly offered me 2 months free line rental.

Still hoping they might get stock sooner - but the guy did say he would feedback this issue to the customer service team so hopefully this communication problem can be avoided in future.

You definitely mean a JB 7 and not a JB 7 Plus? There were some available to reserve and collect from Apple stores tomorrow so I'm 95% sure you will receive yours from Three Long before the 21st of October. In fact, I'd place money on you having it within the next 2 weeks. I was originally told the 28th of October for my JB Plus and today was told between the 7th and 14th, and there has been no stock at all so far of that in the U.K.

I keep getting a date for 7th October whenever I play dumb, whether that be on Twitter or phone. They specifically ask about being a current/new customer (i'm the later)
hope you guys went for quidco cashback too? bassicly only paying £9 for the upfront cost. (90 quid cashback within 30 days of contract first starting)

I'm upgrading, and am paying no upfront cost for the handset...;)
