This happened to me also for one of my lines. I did a chat and was told the same thing. Then I called and was told I wouldn't have to pay anything because the preorder also had a return kit. I later went into a sprint store and asked about the early upgrade fee and was told I didn't have to pay anything because the return kit was included with the order. Also said I would've had to pay the fee at checkout during preordering.

I called to have it changed the lady confirmed it was done. I called the number she gave me to verify it was changed about 8 hours later and it wasn't changed. I'm going to see if after I have tracking numbers if I can use my ups account to change the delivery address
Thank you. One of the lines has a return kit. Ill just call after I get the phone for another kit.
I've heard they have to redo the order to change the address. If you catch it early enough you might be able to change the address via myUPS
Yeah, they wouldn't let me change it. I was hoping to get it sent to work, guess I'll figure something out. They don't leave them without signatures, right?
They did without a signature for our 5 x 6S last year. There should be an option to hold it at the UPS facility by you once it ships though

Just got done chatting with a sprint agent. They said,
"I have checked and found that your order is ready to be shipped at the earliest. I mean that everything before the shipment has been completed and it just need to ship next. No other phase is remaining before that now. Everything is on the place."
Whether that means I will get it on the 16th (My order status says 9/30) or not, pretty cool that there is nothing left for me to do regarding my order. The agent did say they would make a note on my order requesting that I would like it on the 16th, launch day. I doubt that works but it was worth a shot.

Why is everyone assuming Sprint received no Jet Black plus models? They probably just sold a ton-the more they sell, the longer the ship date because they probably only got a guarantee from Apple for so many to be available to ship on launch day.

I don't think it's possible for security reasons. Your info shows several times before you complete checkout and you didn't take any notice of the fact your address was wrong? Your best bet is probably to cancel and re-order.

Just finished chatting with Sprint's online support and they told me that the phones are indeed shipping based on the time the order was placed rather than predetermined time groups. As far as how legitimate their word is, I have no idea. However, I know I read somewhere in the thread earlier that people were wondering if the phones were being shipped based on time groups given what Sprint.com/myorder said.

I don't think you'll find many buyers for a 16GB iPhone. That tiny amount of space is pretty useless. There's a reason they don't make them anymore.
I never said it was wrong, just that I wanted to change it, but thanks for the condescension.
I wonder how that will work...because I tried to upgrade online as soon a preorders started and Sprint systems were down. I'm pretty much sure they were down for everyone that was trying to order online. Nonetheless, mine finally went through and I got a order confirmation at 3:23am CST. So I'm hoping that the the issues sprint were having with preorders don't delay my order any.
Don't know if this is true, but I thought I read somewhere that sprint telesales were closed when preordering started. If that's the case, wouldn't we have a jump start on everyone else ?
It was probably this thread that ibread that I read that in...somewhere in the beginning pages.
I meant to put my preorder in right as they went on sale which was 1am MDT. I overslept. Woke up at 2am. Got my order in at 230. Had some issues getting. The website to load my account info and submitting the orders.
Maybe I got lucky and about that time is when they came back up. Was ATT, Verizon, T-Mobile or Apple.com down as well ?
Nope...just sprint..people was complaining all over twitter about it too.
