Wish they would let us use Apple.com with our lease upgrades in the future.

Back in the 2 year agreement days this is what I did. Never had any issues like I did Friday morning.
This was my first iPhone preorder and it was horrible

Thanks to one of my cats wanting me awake to feed him earlier than normal (4 am day of ordering!) I was able to order 7 Plus, Jet Black, 256 GB but right as the order completed it displayed briefly "something went wrong! Please call 800-xxx-xxxx" and then the screen replotted before I could make note of the number.

I eventually contacted them via chat and one of their bots transferred me to a human who confirmed the order did go through and also confirmed their website, phones and systems were absolutely being hammered by massive iphone orders.

The note said the order has been received and would ship by 10/7 if ordered before 8AM CT on 9.9. I ordered it well before that.

Last time I did an installment to purchase and paid it off one day before pre-ordering on the 7 was available.

This time I did a lease which will be more per month than the installment plan but my old phone will defray the costs to the point where it will be less than the previous monthly payment and my work pays for my cell bill otherwise.

I realize I could probably make more $ if I sold the current phone outright but this is simpler to defray monthly cost.

They indicate I can buy the phone outright at the end of the lease period for $181 if I like it but I'm sure everyone and their mother will want the iphone 8 so who knows what will really happen. Thinking..

For last year's preordering, I couldn't get my order through until 7 am CST. That was horrible. For this year, a 1.5 hour delay is an improvement, lol.

This would still require Apple to connect to Sprint servers for which we know is incapable of handling all of us simultaneously trying to submit orders. Best Buy couldn't access our accounts to check upgrade eligibility. The onus is on Sprint to get their damn **** together for one day.

I wonder how that will work...because I tried to upgrade online as soon a preorders started and Sprint systems were down. I'm pretty much sure they were down for everyone that was trying to order online. Nonetheless, mine finally went through and I got a order confirmation at 3:23am CST. So I'm hoping that the the issues sprint were having with preorders don't delay my order any.

Don't know if this is true, but I thought I read somewhere that sprint telesales were closed when preordering started. If that's the case, wouldn't we have a jump start on everyone else ?

Yep, Telesales didn't open until 6am!

Just spoke to Sprint support, I ordered a Jet black 7 Plus 128 GB. Hoping it ships sooner than my ETA of 10/7 :(

I feel crazy. I woke up this morning and immediately checked the status of the order. I'm losing it. Haha! No update. Still processing the order. Hope we get something soon.

Lmao...me too. I got up.to get dressed to go to the gym and in the process, I checked my status too...lol

Ok I sign in just to say this. If you haven't preordered a iPhone with sprint before, just know that if you did it in timely fashion then there's a chance you could receive yours on launch date. This happened to me when I preordered my 6plus I had a October date and received it on the launched date.

So be patient also let's not spam the thread with "is I'm going to get my iPhone?" questions. This thread will become important when people start posting they shipment dates in a few days. It's still the weekend so enjoy it.

I have been struggling with this decision the past two days.

I currently own my 6+ and am not on a leasing program.

On Apple's page, I can purchase the 7+ (128GB) for $43 - and this includes AppleCare.
On Sprint's page, I can purchase the 7+ (128GB) for $32 - $100 down.

Does Sprint's leasing program include AppleCare or is that extra?
Does Sprint's program allow me to change/lease the next model released next year, continuing my lease?

Sprint later states I can receive a credit of $27/mo. if I return my 6+ - but for how long, the extension of the lease? Does this mean my monthly payment is $32.00 - $27.00 = $ 5.00/month??

Then they state I will receive a $10.00 credit on the first page, but it's not applied on the second, although I believe I am already receiving this credit today so that was false advertising from the get-go.

I'm so confused! I really don't know what to do.

No sprint doesn't include Apple care. From what I understand if you trade in you 6+ After 2 months you will receive your credit on your new iPhone.

Sprint does not include apple care plus. Sprint's program allows you to upgrade every 12 months. You get the bill credit until the end of your current lease. Yes, in that case you would be paying $5 a month and basically getting $650 for your 6+ which is a good bit more than what you can get for it by selling yourself (except maybe if you have 128gb). That's also not really false advertising...Its a loyalty credit you lose it if you stop leasing a device.

I was up at 2:50EST for this preorder. I was on Apple.com, Sprint.com and Bestbuy.com
When 3 am came (aka launch time) I couldn't get through on bestbuy or Apple. Sprint site worked quickly and let me through. Got order confirmation and everything except it claimed my payment didn't go through. Got a 9/30 date and confirmation Email at 3:06 am. Called sprint at 8am to work out payment seminar it didn't go through for some reason. The rep stated that my phone was at the warehouse and ready for the 16th. No other emails as of yet but I did get a $769.99 credit on my account. Not sure as to why because not trading in my current phone. Also I did pay off my remaining balance of $450 on my iPhone 6s Plus for my preorder. Anyone else get this credit?

It's not a reduce credit it the remaining price of the phone added on to your account.

Sprint site..

How can you check on ups website?

All iPhones are shipped through UPS AFAIK. Eventually we are supposed to receive tracking information from Sprint, where you can then track it on UPS's website. But I have yet to receive any tracking information unfortunately. Has anyone else?

Just spoke with Sprint. Apparently their agreement with UPS does not include weekend shipping, so we will all probably see some real movement tomorrow. Hope we get our tracking info!

edit: can't spell

I have a 9/23 ship date for a Black 256 from Sprint. I've never preordered before. Always purchased a few days or weeks after launch day. It would be cool to get it earlier.
