While I'm frustrated with Sprint's lack of communication, I think we are barking up the wrong tree by complaining to underpaid Sprint support reps. I doubt that they know any more than us as to what the hold up is on Apple's end. My frustration is mainly directed at Apple for announcing a product and a release date knowing good and well that the some of the most popular models would not be available until multiple weeks after that date. Now if October 7th comes around and I still don't have a tracking number... Then I'm going to start complaining to Sprint as that is the date they promised.

My order arrived a few minutes ago after a nail-biting day of refreshing my UPS app. The phone is beautiful and I'm really happy.

I really hope the rumored shipping pushback hasn't happened and you all get movement soon. It's not right that people before me still don't have phones just because they ordered a different model than I did. If Apple would have done a two week rollout this could all have been avoided. I don't think we'll ever see a one week rollout again. Sprint's off my ******** for now but i don't think I'll be preordering again next year.

I'm still checking in on you guys because this past week has been a blast hanging out. If anyone has specific shipping questions let me know!

freak it, found a regular matte black 128gig at close apple store, will go pick up 2marrow could not take the uncertainty

Totally agree. That being said, most of us are upset with Sprint because of exactly what you said: our devices were promised to be delivered tomorrow and they won't be.

I will reiterate how frustrated I am with Apple as well, because this is ultimately their fault. Yes, Sprint has been HORRIBLE with communication and their right hand never has a clue what the left hand is doing, but at the end of the day, Apple either:
a. Launched a week early when they weren't ready out of pure greed
b. Never really had a supply shortage, and all of this frustration is just so they can build hype for a phone they didn't expect to sell well
Either way, they suck too. Lol

Can you get the iPhone forever plan at the Apple store? I need a new phone, the one I'm using at the moment is not enough for my work, and I was gaurenteed the phone this week, guess not.

Another one bites the dust. I'm happy for you, but I also kind of hate you now. Lucky...

I touched on bombarding Apple with anger a few days ago, but I want to rehash on it now that it's been proposed.

DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!
tcook@apple.com

They DO read those emails. TRUST ME.

I blame apple for all my mobile worries and issues this year! 1rst you sell me a device that after almost 2 years gets touch disease so a I need a new device asap and I cant get any credit for selling it back to you.2nd you introduce me to the apple upgrade plan but at the last second during launch you tell me a debit card isn't enough 3rd you allow me to preorder it through sprint knowing damm well you only made 300 phones in that configuration for the whole world. know you want me to sit and wait until oct 7 which is on a Friday to get a cell phone which if it does ship that day wont arrive here until atleast the 12 of October WTF

They're really ignoring people. Still on hold thinking I might cancel my order and just pick one up at my local Apple Store.

I'm outta here as well ArtyS! Not because Sprint finally sent me tracking info.. But instead because I reserved the phone I originally preordered from Sprint, in an Apple store! I called and cancelled my preorder, asked for reassurance that my upgrade eligibility would be restored, and everything went fine at Apple.

Apple is clearly the problem here, I watch that istock map light up green every day and the only way it let me reserve it was if I chose IUP (switched back to sprint lease at the store before purchase). They are diverting most of the phones to their stores. The guy I spoke with at sprint said apple notified them that some models could be delayed and that Sprint would have to push back an additional 2-3 business days after the original delivery windows. That was when i said OK, cancel it!

I'm out of town just got a chance to check in. I see my order status doesn't even have a date lol.

The last rep I spoke to told me October.

The sad part of this whole mess is everyone is at the mercy of apple, I believe this phone will be my last apple product.

I'm switching to sprint from att for the trade in deal and halving my att rate for 2 years. I'm waiting on a 256 gb + black from sprint. There are black 128+ phones (what I originally wanted) at the nearest iPhone store tomorrow. Apple said they can't start sprint service in their store.

I want to work around this because it's so stupid I have to wait when the phone I want is available at apple. There are a ton of wrinkles in the transaction (new service, port over phone#, trade in credit for my 6). I guess I'll call sprint and ask if I can buy a phone from apple to bring to them and set up the transfer and credits, etc. I'm not holding my breath.

Any ideas?

Well I called escalations back and left a message.

I told her that if she wanted to help me in any way she could save me from dealing with reps and email me all the buyout info for our 3 lines.

I'm done.

No, that's not it.

People ordered, were given distant dates (tomorrow originally for me) and have seen devices with even later dates shipped already.

People have orders and have been trying to understand why they receive different answers from different sources.

People ordered and want to know why other carriers have the same configuration shipping while Sprint has none.

People ordered and want to understand why an order placed right at opening on 9/9 is in the same window as one placed on 9/16.

People want information.
Exactly. When I ordered there was no indication that I wouldn't be receiving the phone at launch. Had I known that was the case I would've made other arrangements.
