I started to go through the motions to cancel my order with Sprint, and process my upgrade with Apple instead. By the time chat, or my designated 'Special Agent double-O-Sprint-escalations...O" responded to my request for my upgrade to be reinstated, the phone was no longer available at the Apple store for pickup tomorrow.

Instead of losing it, i'm gonna take it as a sign. Hopefully we will get a miracle. In the meantime, i'll continue shooting the sh*t with you fine folk, chasing the dream...

On which note, I count 7 planes landing from Anchorage before 9am Friday. Maybe we should start mass emailing about Sprint paying for Saturday delivery!?

Still, Apple will has made a way for us to purchase the phone, post-order, from them and apply it in "Sprint Installments", so I'm not going out of my way to hate on them. Besides, they bring wayyyy more value to the table, than Sprint. Religiously.

I'm switching to sprint from att for the trade in deal and halving my att rate for 2 years. I'm waiting on a 256 gb + black from sprint. There are black 128+ phones (what I originally wanted) at the nearest iPhone store tomorrow. Apple said they can't start sprint service in their store.

I want to work around this because it's so stupid I have to wait when the phone I want is available at apple. There are a ton of wrinkles in the transaction (new service, port over phone#, trade in credit for my 6). I guess I'll call sprint and ask if I can buy a phone from apple to bring to them and set up the transfer and credits, etc. I'm not holding my breath.

Any ideas?

I am doing the exact same thing...except I already received one of my phones I can't of course activate it until I receive the other one...let me know if you find something out

My order number is: oy-shso-803450xxx. I ordered at 320am on the 9th and received a shipping by date of Oct 7.

Spoke to a Rep over the weekend and she said it's going ship by October 23. I called in today and asked about the October 7 date and she said she can't confirm or deny that the phone would ship by that date. She said the only iPhones that's available is the 7. None of the Pluses are available at all.

To me it seems that that Samsung rushed out the Note 7 to beat Apple with releasing the 7/7+ and got caught up with battery gate. Apple then tried to beat Samsung recall efforts by announcing the iPhone and starting sales etc in hopes to lure the Samsung recall customers in. Which isn't a bad idea, however, Apple didn't and still don't have enough phones produced yet.

I would agree with this theory IF the iPhone release wasn't in September like it always is. Still think this battery supplier is to blame as they serve both Samsung and Apple.

Just chatted with T-Mobile. They don't have any Notes in stock but I'm willing to wait. Will move 2 lines when they do.

I had an OG iPhone when it launched. Picked one up at a store. Switched to Android after breaking the screen.

I don't care about Samsung vs Apple, just want a phone I like. Tried the 6s Plus and liked it, but this whole thing has left me sour with both Apple and Sprint.

Hmm that could possible be the case. I did have the option to cancel as well. But I'm going to wait at least a little bit closer to the Oct 7 date. If I don't hear anything by then, I'll just cancel.
 
Quit my job today. Some lady came in and picked up 3 + & I flipped. Absolutely lost it. I cussed my manager up and down. Told them to inform Tim Cook to shove it. Told them Steve would be turning over in his grave. I can't even stand to look at my 6s.
This was after logging into my account and seeing that my date was gone.
Good thing I have another job, that pays a little bit better.
I just couldn't deal with it anymore and threw a fit, but guess what? I feel about 10 million times better. No more stress. I'm free. Apple was fun, BUT it was VERY stressful.

Figured I'd chime in as I'm in the same boat. I ordered on 9/9 for both my wifes 128GB 7+ Rose Gold and my 256GB 7+ in Matte Black. For mine I was given a 9/23 ship date and for my wives a 9/30 ship date.

Well guess what, hers came last Friday on 9/16 via UPS. WTF. Whats funny is I'm still getting email alerts for both orders explaining the delays but she already has hers.

My point is don't believe what Sprint says about their shipping scheduled located on the sprint.com/myorder page as its bogus. Sprint does not know when they will ship because they have not received the additional stock yet and when they do they don't know how many they will receive in a shipment.

What pisses me off is the lack of communication plus I chatted with a Sprint rep today to inquire about how this will affect my bill as I cannot ship back my iPhone 6 until I get my Iphone 7 +. I would told that the upgrade promo was only valid if I leased a phone and I slapped them with the email I received which disputes this. So know this has been escalated to another team which takes 7-10 to review.

I have a different problem than you guys. I am presently with Verizon with 2 year contract ending 10/24. I have ordered jet black 128 GB iPhone 7 plus from sprint on the morning of 9/18. Told them to transfer the Verizon number. I told them not to transfer my number before 10/24. I am afraid if I get early delivery then Verizon will charge me early termination fee. Anyone know if sprint will wait for me to activate the phone or directly activate and transfer number before shipping.

Yes you can. My wife and son are enjoying their rose gold 7 and a se on sprint while my old 6s+ is still active on AT&T while I'm waiting for my matte black 7+ to even give me a sign that it is going to ever exist

And I always sell my phones other than this trade in so the fact that att models are incompatible with cdma is a huge step back. Apple makes it hard to buy a sprint/Verizon phone when you are with another carrier. I wasted over 30 mins at 3 am trying to do this on preorder day and by then the ship times were past 9/16

When did you order the MB, and when did you get the UPS alert!? Maybe more of those are going out?

Should be activation but I'm a little fuzzy there.

I wouldnt bother. Too risky. Cancel your order, no phone coming. Go to Apple and they say sorry cant help you or phone sells out. Then youre SOL. Or they say .. yeah sure lets run your credit, add a line blah blah blah.. heres a case too, a screen protector, a lanyard, the new air pods.. the next thing you know youre mortgaging your house because Sprint screwed up.

Besides the fact that my manager was actually condoning people selling out of boxes 6s as i7? & the fact that Apple is getting multiple shipments on pluses and only shipping consistently to carriers that don't have a lot of business, so that their stock goes right back to Apple.
I was also told that if a customer comes in too get their iPhone 6 fixed. Convince them that it's beyond repair and sell sell sell the i7. Or tell them that the 6 won't be supported for the next iOS 10 update.

Another reason I quit. You don't do that **** to people . It's so ****ed up.

Oh hell no. If they were being delivered USPS, We would never get them. Half would be lost, the other half would end up being delivered in 2017. Someone would get an iPhone 7 delivered in 2020. I have a sincere hatred for USPS due to all the times they have royal screwed me and lost packages.
