Actually, what seems to be happening is that people made orders and Sprint gave very distant shipping estimates (9/30, 10/7) and people are getting upset that on 9/22 their phone isn't delivered yet.

Honestly, It's been 6 days since launch so we still have weeks before we can even say that anything is "late".

No, that's not it.

People ordered, were given distant dates (tomorrow originally for me) and have seen devices with even later dates shipped already.

People have orders and have been trying to understand why they receive different answers from different sources.

People ordered and want to know why other carriers have the same configuration shipping while Sprint has none.

People ordered and want to understand why an order placed right at opening on 9/9 is in the same window as one placed on 9/16.

People want information.

Was on hold almost an hour. First rep told me I wasnt eligible for upgrade and order was canceled. She transfered over to order management.

This new rep told me Ill have it by Sept 30th. Nope, wait he got the date wrong, End of November. I flipped! Nope, sorry sir, Apple just sent a new updated shipping date. October 10-19.

I asked him if I can cancel the order and pick it up at the Apple store. He said sure but we need to cancel this and it takes 24 hours for it to show on account. Told me also, if I call while I'm there they can have it done in under an hour. I'm like GREAT!

So, I called the Apple store. Not so Great.

Lady told me I can get it, its there for the taking. Im like GREAT again... So. She couldnt check if I was eligible because I am not. I have a preorder thats for crap and giggles. They used my upgrade when I dont have it physically in my hands. Couldnt check.

Regardless, I would of had to do the iPhone Upgrade Program and thats multiple hard inquiries on credit because its a loan through Apple and not through Sprint. She wouldnt be able to send it to Sprint's leasing or iPhone Forever even if I was eligible? Then why ask if I'm eligible?? WTF

Pointless wasted time.
Not driving 2 hours to cancel my preorder and then having to pay afew bucks more per month, agreeing to it, and then saying I have to keep both phones under leasing from Sprint and Apple while also using up my upgrade eligibility.

Or nobody knows their arse from their elbows at this point.

256 GB MB+ here

Just spoke with a order support supervisor who confirmed, after trying to give me the run around for a good 20 minutes, that Sprint has absolutely no stock whatsoever of the 256 GB matte black Plus models. They literally have not even received them yet and don't know when they will. So that's good news :(

My anger is genuinely less about my device being delayed, and more about the lack of communication throughout the entire Sprint organization. We aren't all shallow enough to allow one bad experience to cause us this much distress... We are talking about YEARS of the same issues with this company. That's where the frustration is coming from.

I was told they have 0 in stock of anything. They ship them out as they get them and empty warehouse waits for apple.

Nooo. I was given a precise day my phone would ship. When I called order support told me the same thing. PHONE WOULD SHIP ON 9/23. I could expect to recieve it the following Monday or Tuesday....

Soo tomorrow I could reasonably expect my phone to ship.

That's it right there.
If this is true then it would have been acceptable to me to simply let us know this right away. Instead they decided to give everyone a run around and different answers.

I'm not a hard ass. If you're up front than it's much easier to accept and go on. Deciding to hide information or give different explanations shows disrespect to the customer. The frustration felt now is Sprints doing instead of being understanding that Apple is not supplying product.

And, according to my original email, tomorrow they are late.

Of course after years of this I'm not really surprised.

I wouldnt bother. Too risky. Cancel your order, no phone coming. Go to Apple and they say sorry cant help you or phone sells out. Then youre SOL. Or they say .. yeah sure lets run your credit, add a line blah blah blah.. heres a case too, a screen protector, a lanyard, the new air pods.. the next thing you know youre mortgaging your house because Sprint screwed up.

I think we should direct some of this anger at Apple too. Although I'm with sprint, I'm buying an apple product which still makes me an apple customer. I'm mad at sprint and Apple.

DEFINITELY mad at Apple. They are really giving Sprint the shi**y end of the stick with these orders.

If I could get out of the iPhone Forever and just order something else I would.

I do agree with you.

I did consider trying to contact someone at Apple even thou they probably wouldn't admit they ****ed up. I'm really considering a note 7.

My knowledge in this racket known as the iPhone Forever program is limited. If there is a delay in shipments, will this delay my ability to preorder next year assuming the iPhone is released in September 2017 due to me not making 12 payments prior?

Yes.
You're upgrade cycle begins when the new phone is activated.
I confirmed this on call with escalations.

At this point very few who preordered will be able to get next years at launch unless they pay the additional months to get to 12.

So if you want to upgrade next year at launch you get to pay for a month or so you didn't actually have your 7.
